I just got this gun in the mail the other day. I have to say, honestly, im in shock. I went up to the local sporting goods store to look at some guns. They have a AR-15 with collapsable stock up there for sale. I asked to hold it and look it over. Wow, im in shock as i said earlier. It feels exactly the same as this UTG rifle. Along with the same metal parts. So i took off the rear sight, which is very good i might add, easy to adjust, and so on, and through on a leapers red/green dot scope. on the bottom rail of the ris system i through on a ris foregrip, on the left rail a deluxe tac flashlight. and a utg laser on the right. The shorter barrel is very good for me, for i play alot of tac indoor and night games. might i suggest the 8 pack of 100 round clips for this, because they do not make as much noise. note: the clip it comes with is very good. As for the internals. They are pretty good, not the best, but very good. Also with the externals being extremely good, it protects the internals very well. Shooting wise, the fps shorty gives seems close to the average fps, also with the range. I chroned it. For the battery being in the ris is very easy. the hinged bottom rail is exceptionally stable, and with being able to put up to a 8.4 4200 mah battery in the ris, makes this gun a long play time rifle with a nice collapsable stock. short barrel makes it compact and a great gun. I truly say you should buy this gun, for a gun that will last you. Its worth the price, because lets say you buy a mpeg for 150, in 6 months, somethign happens to it, you buy another for 170 for a lil better quality, but it still breaks, which in the end will happen with mpeg's, trust me i know.
this gun you can get now and will last years
get this, the 8 pack 100 round mid cap mags, and silicone lube
youll be rockin the game

First off let me say, yes the UTG plastic is as good or better than the tm spaz 12. Second, the internals match almost identical, utg isnt playing around anymore. There making higher end AEG's and Spring guns, that are upgradeable with marui parts, which is very good.
War story:
Ok, so i have this around my back, and my UTG full metal M4 COMMANDO cocked, locked, and ready to rock! its a night game, indoors, and i got a light on my m4 and were goin to scope out rooms. well, i sling up my m4 after a couple kills with it, and pull out this bad boy. i cock it, which sends shivers down my spine and my partners, and breach a room. Low and behold, theres two guys behind a table, one shot takes um out, same goes on with the other three rooms we splatter blood in x]. well all in all, this gun kicks @$$, and take it from some one who bought it.
Suggestion for shortys is to make extra shells available to buy, and maybe a price drop of 10 dollars, even though it is already severly underpriced lol.
The three shots in one trigger pull is extremly handy, and the magazines are one of a kind and easy to load.
oh and one more thing, a suggestion to utg, put some side ris rails on the body for lights/lasers, it would be very handy
all in all, this gun is extremly good for a actual airsoft shotgun
you couldnt get any gooder, thats right, i said gooder.

- Echo 1 Ak-47 RIS Full Stock, February 09, 2008

Ok so i open up the box and wow. The feel is amazing. The stock is coated in a rubber like material. The weight seems great, and the ergo grip is so comfortable. For me, it came with charger, TREMOLD WAFFLE CLIP (not the one pictured) which is a great clip, check my review, 8.4 vlt 1500 mah battery (large type) ,front sight adjustment tool, manual, gun (duh), and a sling (bad dont use), and some crappy bb's. Ok so i charge it up with a universal smart charger. First thing i noticed was that the front sight was kinda wobbly. (all you have to do is remove the mock cleaning rod and tighten the screw there to fix it, very easy) Then i threw on a clamp on utg bi-pod, and a reflex sight.
I go outside and sight in the reflex sight, then i start my real shooting. OMG. this thing is amazing. I updated it with a 8.4 volt 4200 mah battery, and the rpm is even higher. And the fps and accuracy are amazing with ksc .25 bb's. Im planning on getting the drum mag.

War Story:
i was my teams support/heavy assault. My friend gave me his shorty mad bull grenade launcher to but on the bottom rail of my gun. it was field, with urban in places. So me and my teams sniper were walking to get into postion on a building top. Crack- my sniper shot in the goggles- the other teams sniper had us zeroed in at 100 feet. I drop for cover-snap my clip goes in- shink! i poped a 120 round grenade in. I slowly look over the top with some binoculars. 7 guys- we were 10 vs. 10, so thats alot of guys to be together. I raise the ak, flip it to semi-and fire at the sniper away from the group, he drops. The group didnt noticed, they were turned around. The sniper and a suport gunner are guarding the group so the group thinks theyre safe. So i fire at the support gunner-he drops. Those were the rules, just like if you really got shot, you had to be silent- and die- aka drop- you couldnt alert your team, just like you cant in real war. So i clime down the steps and run towards the group then go prone(lay down). I crawl to about 25 ft away-thump- AH!!!
i took them all out with the grenade followed by the spray of bullets out of my ak.
All in all, this is the best ak out there right now
and for a person with high and mid grade aegs, i think that this gun could make it as high grade

so internals and externals are better, plus echo 1 is just a better name lol.

Ok, now before i review the gun, i need to clear something up. Now cypher1993, you are very wrong. It is the best P90 on the market right now so you are right about that. But for everything else, you are wrong. Now I am like you, my standards are set out high with ICS and G&G, because frankly Classic Army is crap, but KWA is good, but not as good as a G&G. Echo 1 is starting to make their way to a high grade aeg company, and this P90 is up in that category. This gun is extremely better than the Marui P90 because of one, the externals on the Echo are much better, and so are the internals, with exception to the motor, which can be easily overlooked with the gun's stock performance. So basically, if you are going off of cypher's review to decide if you want this gun, don't.

Alright, on to the review. So i get the box in the house and i notice that it is not as heavy as i am used to. I open up the package, set aside the manual and other literature, and pull out the gun. Now the gun just melts into your hands and fits like a pair of gloves. One thing i notice is that it comes with two mags, which is very, very nice. Another is that it comes with not a 8.4, but a 9.6 volt battery, which is extremely nice to see.

Now besides remarkable externals, the internals are remarkable, and coming stock 370 fps is another amazing thing. Now the reason that this gun is so accurate is because it actually has a 14 inch inner barrel, which is the same length as a M4 stock barrel. The end of the outer barrel does have a 14mm ccw tip, and although it comes with a orange tip installed, Echo 1 does include a full metal black flash hider that you can install manually on the gun.

The gun has three rails, two on the side, one on the top. The trigger actually functions like a real steal P90. When the full auto function is selected, if you pull half way down on the trigger, you will fire on semi auto, and when you pull the trigger all the way back, you will fire on full auto.

All in all, this gun is probably the best gun that Echo 1 has out right now, and is a great purchase for any circumstance.

NOTE: i have this, the M16 A3 and stag arms , M4 A1, Mp5 J and A4, the AK-47 ris full stock, Classic Army G36C, and a Tokyo Marui G36C

Ok my team uses all of the above weapons. We purchased them together, and i have at least put my own 1000 rounds through each of them. I traded in my AK for this gun. ITs the best trade of my life. I purchased it off of another website because shorty didnt have it, it was sold out, but shortys kicks the other sites a$$! anyway, my team and i put this, and the other echo 1's through a lil fps and acuracy test. This came 2nd to the m16 in range and 2nd to the m4 in fps. G36C- 350 fps M4 A1- 355
It easily beats the CA and TM in fps and range. This could be clasified as a CA if no one new it was a echo 1. i bought two side rails for mine so i have a total of four rails. I have a leapers red dot and a reflex sight that i switch in and out, a utg superduty fore grip, a utg weaver rail bipod, silencer( all you have to do is under the flash hider is a allen wrench screw, remove it and unscrew the flash hider and there is a 14 millimeter threaded screw), and a deluxe tac flashlight. This gun is my favorite gun that i have ever used. And it is as close to the real steal as you can get.
The real G36C, G36K, and G36KE are made out of a polycarbonate mixture, in other words, the fore grip, reciever, butstock, grip, and upper reciever are all plastic, not metal!, so a metal G36C in airsoft form would be as far away as the "real steel" gun as possible.
This gun is very durable, ive dropped it to climb a wall, threw it ten feet down, bumped walls, and it doesnt budge!
The foldable stock is great, and really they made it for compact storage, but for CQB its great, especially with a foregrip.
ONLY use high grade bb's with this gun, i swear to you, if you dont, fps and acuracy will be terrible. .25 work the best, ksc.
Overall its a great gun, and dont get the JG, the echo 1 has better internals.

This has got to be one of the best, if not the best pistols ive ever used. This gun, which i have had for about a year now, well it will be around march or april, is a perfectly crafted pistol of the gods! I'm not going to go through the pros and cons only because i dont believe you need to look through all the pros to find out this is a good, sturdy, unbelievable side arm, or even a primary, if you have extra clips, and i also suggest the metal propane adapter shorty has offered. But back to the gun. Now, people talk about this gun as somewhat of a gas guzzler. Well, sorry, but your wrong. Yes, blow back makes it a target for consumers thinking it is, but it is not. One tank of propane or green gas lasts for atleast 1500 shots for me. For its ridculously low price, its not surprising it has sold out. This is a great advancedment for the KJW line up. Take it from some one with experience with the weapon. Its got great fps, great accuracy, and a sturdy metal frame. I suggest a light or a laser, it will really help. Another thing is that its not that loud for a GBB, which is nice for night games, or for stealth. This pistol has served me well, and is still serving, i highly suggest you take this into consideration when purchasing a side arm

NOTE:OK to settle dispute, i went to leapers(a importer of airsoft guns in livonia mi) to learn about this. there are factories in china and america. What happens is the guns are produced together, and either put in a echo 1 package, or a jg package. Both have same gearbox, classic army gears, and wiring. So all echo 1 does is rebrand jg guns. TRUST ME! ive stripped them both, so they are identical! just differnt names, ok, listen to me please!

- Better than the weaver rail mounted one, i have both, February 09, 2008

Ok, now look at it this way. People complain about the swivel. Answer, get this one. Now for snipers the ris mount on might be better, but for mid grade and high grade (echo 1, ics, CA, tm, utg) get this. Theres no swivel, high grade materials, will break when you are decomposing in the ground. This supports my Echo 1 Ak-47 Ris. I know, i know, i could of got the ris one, but then i wouldnt have room for a fore grip, because when your rushing, its nice to have a foregrip. Just all in all, this is a much better buy, and i recommend it highly.

- Great Mags, but wobble, February 28, 2008

these mags are great. i got two of them with my ics m4 full stock-great gun, check my review. Anyways, they feed great and hold alot of ammo, and theyre also metal. The one downfall i have is they wobble A-LOT in the mag weld.
but there is one quick and easy fix. just wrap the clear, gloss smooth packing tape, like you get on the packages from well, i guess shortys, around the magazine itself. you can make it even to where the tape doesnt show when the mag is in the gun, thats what i did anyways.
Great Buy, get them hands down.
*NOTE* may not wobble for you, im just saying my experience with them.

Ok listen, before i start i want to tell you something, "ThePwnage", you must know nothing of airsoft. First of all, the split level gear box is made to make the gun more upgradeable, so you are wrong about upgrading this ICS being limited. Next, it comes with a M100 spring, which out of the box gives you 330-335 fps, I know, i chroned mine. Plus, now i have a M110 spring, which gives my ICS M4 370-378 fps, so yeah, your wrong again. Third, with a 8.4 vlt 4200mah large type battery, my ROF/RPM is 850, so, again, your wrong. And good luck finding a CA, or TM, with enough durability to take a 9.6. Those make your gun work too hard. Last, this gun easily beats CA or TM. It beats the CA in FPS, RANGE,ACCURACY, AND the metal the body is made out of, the ICS is better quality. It also beats the TM in FPS, RANGE, ACCURACY, and, the tm is plastic stupid.

Now, with that all out of the way, this is an unbelievable, god like M4. It is the best M4, along with the other ICS M4/16 series. EXCEPT, the SYSTEMA training weapons systems, but they sell for over 1,000 dollars. The FPS, RANGE, ACCURACY, is amazing. As i said above i upgraded mine with an m110, which is extremly EASY to do. With 330 fps out of the box, its amazing, now, mine with 370, OMG.

The Durability is amazing, i could not go on more of about how good it is.

MAG cap is great, and full metal makes them very sturdy, no probs with them.

Battery CAP. is also great, 8.4 vlt 4200mah bat.

Rails, ok, only one on top reciever, but its great, metal, very sturdy. Plus, you can get barrel mount tri-rail, or foregrip rails.

Overall, get the gun, great realible AEG, had for two months so far, so thought id do a review.

Now, dont get me wrong, this is a great gun. But durablity wise, its a big no no. I have this gun, along with the full stock version. It was great in performance, but parts durablity, no. First, the screws strip so easily, its so frustrating. oh, and the butt plate on the full stock version falls off. The foldable stock aint too sturdy. The ris is wobbly because it is not a one-piece barrel. Just dont get this, please.

They are called MID GRADE, for a reason people.
its great if you like this and yours is great, fine, i dont care, or have a problem with that. Im just saying this from someone who is experienced in airsoft.
Go with a ICS for a AK, it will last you four times aslong

so it's time for me to by some bb's after a war, and of course i was using .2 bbs in my gun and were really good, but after about 125 feet they get a little off course with the target. So i'm on shortys, and i'm just looking around at the bb's and i go to click on the ksc .2, but i glanced and looked at the .25. I'm thinking, hm, maybe i would get that extra accuracy for woodland and cqb that i'm looking for. So i'm looking and says that you need to have enough fps to pump these babies out, and i have an echo 1 G36C and a KJW full metal m9 for a side arm, so i figure that i have the right guns, i was right.
with shortyusa's amazing shipping they came to me in three days. i put some in my g36c's magazine, adjusted the hop-up, and boom, i was hitting dead on 180 feet away. overall i would recommend these in any gun that shoots over 350 fps, and has full metal internals. these things are great. i just ordered 3 bags and a mad bull silencer so i can't wait 'til tomorrow when they come.

Alright, overall, this gun can give cqb a nice run for its money, but durability wise it's a big no no. My teammate had this, and it was so shaky, and bendable! Now he is not one to take bad care of his guns, and to have a bad gun in general, but this thing was just so unreliable. Now I'm not for jg anymore, Echo 1 is the way to go, along with G&G and KWA, any way, i have a JG G36C, although it is upgraded with mad bull hop up buckings, a tight bore barrel, rails, aluminum piston head and bearings,steel bushings, cylinder set, all that stuff, and it is great, the only problem is that after a couple months it took those things to make it great. Anyways, my teammate had this, the JG mp5, and at 360 fps, it was pretty nice, but he couldn't compare to my other teammate's echo mp5-j, and my other teammate's Echo 1 M4 RIS, not to mention my gun. The gun is unreliable, untrustworthy, and not dependable, overall, just get a different gun, and not from JG. And if someone says that it's great, they're just a noob that does not understand the world of airsoft.

This gun is definitely a great secondary for the price. Throw the tac version in a holster and you are ready to go. Two mags easy to reload. It's basically a no brain-er if you need a plinker or a backup. No essay here, it's just your basic shotgun, and you know UTG always makes good shotguns.

Now I want to get something off my chest. I am 16 years old, and even though I am not yet at the proper age to purchase a real firearm, I still know how to load, operate and clean one. Now I am not saying that you need to know that to use an airsoft gun, but wouldn't knowing proper gun safety help in the actual using of an airsoft gun at an actual field? The main thing I am saying is all these 12 year olds that walk around acting like they are airsoft gods, calling a heat shield "a little metal thingy on the end of the gun" and probably looking down the barrel with the magazine or clip in, need to learn a thing or two before they start reviewing on items they are not even familiar with.
