4 out of 5- Wow,
Reviewer: Alphadown99 from Grand Blanc, MI

Wow. I'm in an awe-instated shock. Here's the story. I own a UTG AK-47 Commando, and the day my friend told me he could beat me with his pistol, I just kind of stared at him for a minute, then literally fell out of my seat laughing (detention of course). The day I played him, I realized he was dangerously close to being correct. After about an hour and a half of playing, I was running out of ammo. He didn't have any clue about this change in events. The next time I saw him reloading, I snuck within four feet of him, aimed my AK at is A$$ and asked him nicely to surrender (Pulled out my last four shots into him) It took the longest time in which I was praying he would, since the last four shots I fired were it for me. He did, even though he had ammo, he was not aware I was empty. I was soo relieved, and I told him what happened. He decided to cap me in the stomach. The mark has been there for more than a week now. (Ouch) I wouldn't buy this unless it was for some kind of reenactment or movie and I had enough money though since it is so expensive.

-Hope this helped!!!!

5 out of 5- Awesome,
Reviewer: Alphadown99 from Grand Blanc, MI

This is the very best and inexpensive airsoft vest ever! In it I can fit:

2) 340 Round AK-47 Mags
2) 600 Round AK-47 Mags
1) KWC Sig Sauer P228 Spring Pistol
6) Sig P228 Spare Magazines
2) 2000 Count bottle KSC .2g BBs
1) 5000 Count Barrel Cybergun .12g BBs for my friend's shotgun
1) Motorola Talkabout 12 Mile radio
2) Energy bars
1) Water Bottle
2) Field maps of surrounding area
1) 120 Round UTG Quick Loader

This is very high quality and as you can see, holds all your stuff, and if you don't want the holster on your vest, you can put two more magazine pouches on that hold two AK-47/M-16 Magazines apiece. This is a steal; I saw this in a law inforcement catalogue that was exactly the same, but had slots to but in bullet-broof plates. There are lots of other cool colors of this you should check out also.

4 out of 5- Nice gun case,
Reviewer: Alphadown99 from Grand Blanc, MI

My friend bought this case for his UTG AK-47 Commando. It works very well holding all his stuff, but is a little too long so that the elastic straps don't hold the gun tight. Do not buy this for any gun that is less than 30 inches long, it doesn't hold them tight. It is awesome because it even has an internal holster that holds and protects your pistol as well as any rifles you might have.

Spare 180rd High Capacity M87 Mag

$8.99

2 out of 2 people found the following review helpful:

4 out of 5- Great mag,
Reviewer: Alphadown99 from Grand Blanc, MI

First off, this mag has not misfired once for me yet! It is an EXTREMELY high quality mag. I prefer this mag to the mag that came with my UTG AK because, while the AK mag's wheel gets tighter and harder to wind as you wind it more, this mag has not done that for me. Unfortunately, the winding wheel on this mag is "backwards", meaning that when it is in the gun, you don't wind the wheel toward you, using the force of the butt of your stock to counter the force of the winding, you have to turn the gun sideways and wind the wheel toward the foregrip. The only only problem I have found with this mag is that if you accidentally push the mag release buttons on the sides of it too hard, they will get stuck inside the magazine case, which is EXTREMELY annoying, because you must proceed to take the magazine apart, whis is both tedious and dangerous, because you may lose one of the countless tiny plastic parts that are not even attached to the inside of the mag. Other than those minor quirks, this is a great mag, and recommended highly over the 20 rounders.

Hope this helped!!!

Umarex Walther P99 DAO Special Operations CO2 Blow Back Airsoft Pistol

$64.99

2 out of 2 people found the following review helpful:

5 out of 5- Know what to expect!,
Reviewer: Alphadown99 from Grand Blanc, MI

I waited for weeks for Shorty to get more of these babies in stock before I was able to purchase one, and I'm glad I did.

This P99 is my first GBB gun, and I was looking to buy something that was fun to shoot without giving up an arm and a leg. Also, since I live in a state where airsoft retailers are few and far-between, I needed a CO2 powered gun since the cartridges are significantly easier to find than Green Gas. I'm honestly very happy with my purchase. I've done some serious testing of this gun, and - while I haven't yet actually gone out to the field with it - I'm quite impressed by its performance, considering the price I paid.

STRENGTHS:
- "Cool factor" This is a Gas Blow Back pistol, so it's wicked fun to shoot. The blow back action adds a "coolness" factor that you just don't get with a spring or NBB pistol. Plus, the clang of the slide sounds pretty cool!

- Efficiency: This gun is surprisingly efficient on gas (just as good people at Shorty said). This probably has something to do with the EXTREMELY light slide (more on this later). I was able to shoot through 14 full magazines (210 shots, for those who're counting) before the slide catch stopped consistently functioning (I say consistently because for just about every other magazine for the next five or six, the catch WOULD work when the mag was empty), and I burned through twenty one magazines without any significant loss in range (though I don't own a Chrono so I can't speak to power). I was EXTREMELY pleased with this longevity. For the $0.50 it costs for a CO2 cartridge, I'm more than happy with that performance, especially for a gun with a blow-back system.

- Power: There's plenty of power behind each shot. Be careful with this puppy. I made myself a makeshift BB catcher out of an old Rubbermaid tub filled with newspapers, but quickly stopped shooting when I realized that I was shooting THROUGH the paper AND the bottom of the tub from about 20 feet away. Yikes!

- Ergonomics: This IS a P99 after all, so it may very well be the most comfortable handgun you'll ever hold: its grip is very forgiving, the magazine release is huge (AND ambidextrous - a bonus for southpaws like me), and the slide release is also huge and very accessible even for lefties like myself. It's also quite compact (slightly smaller than a Sig P226) but not so small as to feel cramped.

- Value: If a fun little plinker/skirmisher or first GBB is what you're looking for, you absolutely cannot beat this price (especially since Shorty charges less than just about any other retailer for this particular gun, for some reason)

- Aesthetic: This gun is an elegant and looks unique and futuristic compared to most pistols. It's as pretty as it is comfortable and as comfortable as it is pretty.

WEAKNESSES:
- Accuracy: As shorty said, this isn't a gun that's meant for long-range engagements. Nobody in their right mind would call the accuracy stellar at any sort of range. Whether this is the fault of the "tactical sights," the lack of hop-up, the recoil from the blow back, or a combination of the three is hard to say, but don't expect to be engaging targets from any significant distance.

- Range: As I mentioned above, this gun does NOT come equipped with a hop-up system, so BB flight is erratic at best, and often BB trajectory drops off rapidly. Shorty lists this gun's effective range to be about 100 ft. That may be a bit optimistic for shooting with any sort of consistency or accuracy.

- Safety: Because the real P99 does not have a toggle safety, Umarex needed to fabricate one for this gun. As a result, there's a rather ugly, plain-vanilla safety on the right side of the gun that both looks bad and breaks the streak of fully ambidextrous controls on the gun. It isn't hard for a lefty to use his/her right hand to flip the safety on and off, but it's a minor annoyance and frustrating given the perfection of the rest of this gun.

- Trigger pull: While it isn't a hard trigger pull, it feels SUPER long. It isn't a major issue, but it detracts somewhat from the overall comfort of shooting this gun.

WRAP UP:
Pros:
-LOTS of fun to shoot
-A single CO2 cartridge will last you a LONG time, especially for a GBB gun
-Packs a heck of a punch
-This thing is all smooth and EXTREMELY comfortable to bare hands
-VALUE!

Cons:
-Accuracy at distance
-BB's don't carry very far
-Ugly, hard-to-operate safety takes a bite out of this gun's svelte exterior
-Long trigger pull.

Overall, I highly recommend this gun for someone looking for a reasonably-priced and fun GBB shooter or a short-range skirmisher that's comfortable to hold and fire.

The holster goes under one armpit, and the spare mag pouch under the other, so you can conceal them under a jacket or trench-coat (Be like Sherlock Holmes...Or an FBI agent). Looks and ways you could use it aside, it's comfortable and functional. It is easy to remove your sidearm from it, and it's not too much of a hassle to put on, and it's CHEAP!! 4 out of 5- Very good deal,
Reviewer: Alphadown99 from Grand Blanc, MI

I love the magazines for the M87, because they are easy to use. That said, the release buttons on the side of this mag can sometimes become trapped behind the hard plastic shell on the outside of the mag. This becomes and EXTREME headache because if you take it apart, the spring and about 10 other tiny pieces fly out. Once this happens, they will never go back in again, so if this problem occurs, call Shorty and ask them what to do.
All in all, this is a great mag, and for the price, it's a great deal. Even so, I recommend the 180 hi-cap mags instead.

Also, the gun's accuracy is excellent and overall the gun is an amazing competition sniper rifle. Umarex H&K USP CO2 Non Blow Back Airsoft Pistol

$34.99

4 out of 5- Reliable, but with some drawbacks.,
Reviewer: Alphadown99 from Grand Blanc, MI

This H&K USP is a nice, affordable sidearm for any airsoft skirmish. It puts BBs down-range fairly consistently and with respectable power, and lasts for DAYS on a single CO2 cartridge.

STRENGTHS:
- Accuracy: For a fifty-dollar pistol (I got mine for $49.99 at a local Brick & Mortar), this fella is impressively accurate. Its size gives it a longer-than-average barrel, leading to noteworthy accuracy for the price. It definitely matches Shorty's listed Effective Range.

- Power: It's big, it's burly, and it packs a punch. That's really all that needs to be said. Expect nice little welts to come with a hit from this USP, especially from close range.

- Sound: It's not particularly loud, but firing this gun sounds healthy and comes with a satisfying sound not usually found on an NBB pistol.

- Trigger: The trigger on this bad boy is like butter - it's not particularly long but it's smooth the whole way, which combines with the long barrel to yield tight groupings of shots.

- Aesthetic: This gun is faithful to the real steel right down to the color-coded safety lever and the gun's hammer, and it strikes quite the impressive figure.

WEAKNESSES:
- Build: Though the thing has a nice heft to it, it still manages to feel slightly less than solid. It has a bad habit of creaking and making some decidedly plasticky sounds, which is definitely not a bonus on what is otherwise a very nicely-put-together pistol

- CO2 location: Perhaps for some this might be a plus, but to me it seems like kind of a waste. Considering that this gun can EASILY fire 300 rounds and still fire with respectable power, it seems sort of overkill to carry more than one magazine with unique CO2 cartridges. On the other hand...

- Magazine: This magazine is a bonafide pain-in-the-neck to load. It doesn't really play nicely with speed-loaders, so be prepared to load your magazine one BB at a time. I guess this is more realistic...but, to be frank, loading an airsoft gun's magazine is not something I really care to be realistic, so this becomes more than a minor annoyance. It makes one really wish to buy a second magazine. The problem being that extra magazines mean extra devoted CO2 canisters. Definitely a MAJOR annoyance. Not a deal breaker, but definitely something to consider if you plan to use this for anything more than a desperation sidearm.

In a nutshell:
Pros:
- Long barrel means this thing puts respectably tight groupings down range
- Quite the stinger - your opponents won't forget about you
- Makes a nice sound when firing
- Smooth trigger pull and a comfortable trigger to use
- A real work of art
- Nice and hefty: it has some substance!

Cons:
- Creaky at times
- CO2 cartridge located in the mag (see above for my justification)
- Magazine is a HORRIBLE pain to load up.

This might not the most impressive pistol you'll ever come across, but it's a solid workhorse on a budget.

STRENGTHS:
- Sights: The sights on this thing are absolutely incredibly clear. The fiber optic competition sights make for quick, easy focusing and easy aiming.

- Power: The gun isn't the most imposing-looking gun on the market, but it really sizzles. You won't particularly want to be on the receiving end of this one.

- Build quality: This gun is built like a tank. Throw it around, bang it up...it'll keep on kicking. There aren't a lot of moving parts, so it's quite difficult to mess this gun up.

- Price: For $40, you're getting a hard-hitting sidearm with

WEAKNESSES:
- Aesthetic: The pistol is kind of glossy and generally isn't the best-looking of guns.

- Sound: This is a minor annoyance, but WOW, this makes an ugly sound. Function over form, here, so I can't knock it too much, but there's just something nasty about the sound this pistol makes.

The Verdict:
If you're looking for a solid target shooter or skirmisher on a tight budget, you can't go wrong with this piece. You won't break the bank, but will squeeze better than decent performance out. Your $40 will be well spent!
