I bought this for my Glock 18C and i never regretted it for a second. It is a very durable holster that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Help you get your pistol out in a flash. When you hand comes to grip the pistol, the release is right where your index finger lands. You can also adjust the force it takes to push it in. In Shorty's explanation above, it says the pistol won't come out unless you push the release, even if you, "do a backflip off a trampoline or hang upside down until you are red in the face." I decided to test these statements, and sure enough, they hold true. This is a bit pricey for a holster, but it is the best you can buy. I was playing a game and i was in a hallway, all by myself, and i was on my way to meet up with my squad (we got split up earlier) and as i was going, i figured i should reload. So i stopped and leaned against the wall, and got a clip out of my vest but in the process, two guys from the other team came full sprint down the hallway, and i wasn't reloaded yet. We were all kinda shocked but we all went to shoot at once. I kinda fell over and pulled my pistol out at the same time, and started crawling backwards and shooting in between my legs at the same time. I managed to hit them both before they even came to grips with the situation. I would never have been able to do that with my cross draw hoslter. I figured out after the game that the two guys i shot were running from my squad! It turns out i was going in the wrong direction the WHOLE TIME! But anyway, this is a great holster and i recommend it to anyone with a Glock 17,18C. Sorry for the lengthy review and thanks for reading.

I have this Holster for my airsoft glock and my real steel counterparts. I find that even a novice airsoft player can use it, with very little training.
I love the release on the holster. There is no annoying thumb strap, only a trigger finger release. That is especially handy, cause it puts you into the proper firing alignment.
I really like the fact that you can switch what type of mounting system you want to use, from belt loop to paddle style.
I am not one hundred percent positive, but i think you can mount this to the Serpa tactical mount system. I will have to check on that, and re-post.

- You can't get better holster..., November 21, 2007
Black Hawk is the supplier for the US military. They make the finest tactical products in the world. This SERPA retention holster is a very versatile holster, and allows you to draw your Glock faster than is thought possible. One handy feature (for law enforcement officers mainly since in an airsoft battle you won't have an enemy airsofter trying to get your gun out of your holster) is that only the wearer can draw a gun out of the holster. If you have somebody wrestling with you and he is trying to get your gun out of the holster, he won't be able to since it is virtually impossible to get in the correct position behind the wearer and then press the release at the same time and at the same time draw out the gun. But I guess that doesn't matter in an airsoft battle since, like a said, an enemy airsofter isn't going to try to wrestle your gun away from you. One feature that I thoroughly enjoy is that you can adjust the amount of pressure required to press on the release and release the gun. If you want to make absolutely sure that it will only come out when you want it to then you simply set the release to a higher spring tension. If you want to be able to draw your Glock without thinking about it then you set the amount of pressure required to a lower setting.
All in all, a very sturdy, reliable, tactical, intimidating (the carbon fiber makes it very intimidating) holster. If you are a serious airsofter and have the money, then get this holster. You won't regret it.

- Best holster, ever!!!!!!!!, January 31, 2009
I have this holster, and let me say it is the very best.
It is compatible with the serpa tactical drop leg platform. It places your trigger finger in the correct position when you draw your weapon. It is super easy to use. I have one for the 1911 series and the glock series.
I would strongly urge anyone who is into airsoft to get this holster.

- AMAZING, December 07, 2007
This holster is no doubt the best holster i have seen yet. On my airsoft team, i operate as a sniper, and my preferable sidearm is the glock because it is compact and has full auto capabilities for getting plastic downrange fast. This holster will quicken the speed of your draw. It is also very sturdy. The belt size adjustments works great, and it is not loose while you are wearing it. The release catch is also very nice. It keeps the gun in place, while keeping the release in a very natural place for your finger
It may be a little expensive, but is by far the highest quality holster available for your airsoft gun.

no matter what you say these are top shelf holsters at a bottom shelf price...they are fantastic as long as your side arm isn't modified. i use one for my real glock 22c and my sig 226. one of my friends has one for his beretta 92fs. the gun slides in and out easy and it locks and feels secure... a must have for your belt or any molle platform you wanna set it up on.
