- Awesome Shotgun, January 29, 2008
First of all I would like to say that I own this gun, and I am not writing a review based on looks. I ordered it yesterday and got it today, thanks for the amazingly fast order processing, and shipping Shorty and UPS!
==Stuff in box==
airsoft gun
sling
speed loader
cleaning rod
black shell
red shell
instruction booklet
==First Impressions==
When I opened the box and took out the shotgun I noticed that it was solid, and well built. There are white sights painted on, and they are nice. The only thing I didn't like is that the opening switch is designed for right-handed people, and being a lefty it is awkward to reload shells.
==Firing==
I proceeded to load the shells with .20 bbs and took it outside. The groupings were pretty nice, from 0-10 feet the groupings were very small, at about 20 feet they could have fit in a circle with a 3 inch radius, and after 20 feet I noticed that the top bb would curve up at a faster rate than the other bbs. I fired at the shed, about 100 feet away, and all of the bbs hit it. (the dimensions are about 7x7 feet)
I then loaded up the .25s, and I loved them a lot more. They maintained a lot tighter groupings, from 0-20 feet they stayed in a 1 inch radius but a few inches lower than the .20s. At about 50 feet they maintained a 5 inch radius. But when I fired at the shed they sunk too much, but I was able to get 1 foot groupings by aiming at an angle.
It is harder to cock than all of the other springers I have used. But I didn't find it too hard, after firing 6 shells worth (in 20 minutes), I could feel a little toughness in my arm. My 13-year-old brother tried to cock it 7 times and failed 6 times. So if you are small / weak / old, you may not want to buy this because it requires a lot more energy to cock than the average springer.
==Pain / Intimidation Factor==
I have not been shot by this gun yet, but I imagine it would hurt. My brother is scared of getting hit 3 simultaneous times, so the intimidation factor strikes fear into your opponents.
==Pros==
good size
sturdy
visually appealing
bright white sights
not very heavy (you can run around without being weighed down)
fps
intimidating
groupings
==Cons==
awkward shell loading for lefties
weight (not realistic)
cocking effort (not easy for kids and weak people)
price ($70 is a lot of money for a spring shotgun made in China)
lack of additional shells to buy
==Summary==
This is an awesome shotgun! Buy it if you can afford to spend $70. I would recommend buying more shells when they become available. What I would do is assign each colored shell a different weight bb, and use them according to the distance of your target. The fps and groupings are nice. You will have a great time firing it!

- I Have This and the Tm Spaz, January 27, 2008
First off let me say, yes the UTG plastic is as good or better than the tm spaz 12. Second, the internals match almost identical, utg isnt playing around anymore. There making higher end AEG's and Spring guns, that are upgradeable with marui parts, which is very good.
War story:
Ok, so i have this around my back, and my UTG full metal M4 COMMANDO cocked, locked, and ready to rock! its a night game, indoors, and i got a light on my m4 and were goin to scope out rooms. well, i sling up my m4 after a couple kills with it, and pull out this bad boy. i cock it, which sends shivers down my spine and my partners, and breach a room. Low and behold, theres two guys behind a table, one shot takes um out, same goes on with the other three rooms we splatter blood in x]. well all in all, this gun kicks @$$, and take it from some one who bought it.
Suggestion for shortys is to make extra shells available to buy, and maybe a price drop of 10 dollars, even though it is already severly underpriced lol.
The three shots in one trigger pull is extremly handy, and the magazines are one of a kind and easy to load.
oh and one more thing, a suggestion to utg, put some side ris rails on the body for lights/lasers, it would be very handy
all in all, this gun is extremly good for a actual airsoft shotgun
you couldnt get any gooder, thats right, i said gooder.
**please rate**
thank you for reading!

- Great overall gun, few bad minor things though, February 02, 2008
Out of the box it looks like one of the most solid guns I've ever seen. It's pretty light for it's size, but it's very maneuverable. The "rubber" pistol grip, cocking piece, and butt pad is a bit of an overstatement, however, I'm sure it feel better than plastic. It looks nice, too. Now lets talk about the loading/magazines.
A for realism, but F for convenience. These are a pain in the a** to reload, and when it comes to getting them loaded into the gun, it's even worse. I've timed myself and sometimes it only takes like 5 seconds to take out and put in a new shell, but other times it just wont fit correctly, and it'll take like 30 seconds because I have to move it around a bunch.
Shooting time.
Some people seem to be hard on this gun when it comes to shooting, and I can see where they are coming from, but it's really not that bad. It shoots almost as far as the UTG M87 shotguns when they dont have hop-up on, so thats pretty decent. The issue is this: The BB's really DO fly out in a "scattergun" formation. You can really never tell where they are going to hit. For the most part it's really accurate, you wont have a problem at all hitting somebody from 90-100 feet away. But the top barrel shoots further, and the two side barrels tend to drop at around 85-90 feet. I use high grade .2g ammo, and it's treating me just fine. Here's what I would do to fix the crazy burst formation of the BB's: just spray a little lube down the two lower barrels, and you should be fine.
Overall, it's a good gun, it's got a few crappy things about it, but it would make a great primary weapon for backyard forest skirmishes, and a decent secondary weapon if you're out in the field taking on $300 AEG's.

- I OWN THIS GUN, January 23, 2008
This gun has been great for me so far. I've had it for about a month and have had no problems. Another great UTG gun. The only annoying part is the magazine capacity. The shell only holds about 30 (10 shots) rounds and shells get irritating after a while. But you eventually get used to them.
PROS
great looks
amazing accuracy for a shotty
light weight
decent amount of metal parts
OK fps (it does hurt inside of 75ft or so)
slam firing (so much fun, but not good to do)
shoots 3 bullets at once (massive pain)
CONS
mag capacity
I would highly consider getting this gun but make sure you get some extra shells because if you run out ammo in the field it is really annoying to reload a shell.

- From a guy who actually owns ze rifle......., January 28, 2008
Well first i would like to applaud shortys on getting this to ups the same day i orderd and to ups for actually delivering it a day early. So on to the gun. When i opened the box i saw a nice hefty shotgun. Now when shorty said it was going to be light i thought it was going to be a feather weight. But suprisingly its pleasingly heavy. (no i am not a weakling my primary is a ca m249 saw mk2). There is alot of abs on this gun. There is some metal but alot of plastic but for a 70$ gun i did not expect too much. The grip and the foward cocking thing (forgot name) is made out of a rubber plastic blend i think so its pretty comfortable.
But now to the shooting. the shooting is where it loses some of its preformance and mainly is why it gets a 4. I was expecting a left to right shotgun blast or a triangle type blast but it is a straight up and down blast. With .2's after a couple feet all the bb;'s went depresssingly up. So after a couple mags i was rethinking my purchase. So in a desperate act i put .3 gram bb's in. Now they say only go up to .25's but i thought it cant hurt to bad. Well holy **** i saw a large increase in preformance. Now there was a one way down shot a middle hot and a way up shot. Much better than before by my standards and they go much farther before doing those slants than before,
Pro's
Nice looking body
Pretty good weight for a secondary (lets hope this is not your primary for outdoors)
Nice handle and forward cocking receiver
They give you a nice sling along with a speed loader and a 2 pack of shells.
sturdy cocking motion
.3's work pretty well.
Oh yea at 10 feet it will hurt and times that by 3
FPS is pretty consistent with 255. Done by my gaurder sp2000
Con's
.2's go flying to the heavens
No nice widespread shotgun effect.
So overall if you want a shotgun as a primary indoors this thing is perfect. If you want a secondary outdoors its light and you should probably buy heavier bb's. But overall not regretting my purchase.
is a Good buy

- Read review, January 27, 2008
This gun is unbelievably amazing! Its performance is awesome and so are its looks. In wars, I usually snipe. When people start coming in on me, to close to snipe, I take out this little puppy and blast with my 3 shot. I have left some very nice triangular welts on my opponents.
FPS- 275fps.
Range- 90-100ft
Mag Capacity- 1 shell that holds 29 shots.
Feel- 3 pounds of high grade plastic.
Looks- incredible/ very intimidating

- The beast is loose, January 30, 2008
I literally came home from work 1 am in the morning after doing overtime, checked shorty's website for somthing completly different and the words "utg shotguns in stock and ready to ship" caught my eye. I put my order in on the spot.(1am in the morning of all times). You cant find a better shotgun for the price right now. First of all it feels rock solid. I like the rubber grips on the pistol grip and the pump grip. Second, Its accurate and powerful. Third, MULTI-SHOT. Thats 3 times the firepower of regular spring shotguns for the price. one thing I dont like is that it dosent have adjustable hop-up, or maybe at least some kind of adjustable way to tighten or widen your shots without changing bb size. Anyway, point is get this gun and you wont be disappointed.

- Best CQB gun eva!!!, January 29, 2008
great gun if you want to play an up close and deadly game, just took it out of the box an hour ago, shot my buddy in his rear end from about eight feet so he still isnt talking to me,
but it did leave 3 distinct black and blue welts,
anyway, did an accuracy test, and when i was within 15 feet of the target it was kinda hard to distinguish the different bb holes,
but from 25-30 feet all of the bbs are hitting within an inch of the others, cant get much more distance in my house, and its freezing outside(Chicago winter), but if your a CQB enthusiast then i highly recommend this gun, UTGs are not known for their quality but by the feel of this one im sure if i did happen to drop it in a skirmish, besides for maybe a few scrapes and a chip here and there, it should be fine

- oh yes uh huh, January 21, 2008
well if you want to save a hundred bucks and get just as good quality, go with utg. they seem to have it nailed. i just wonder if the plastic is up to par with the tm shotguns. and how well designed are the internals. definitely thinking about purchase. oh yeah fps is 10 higher than tm.
