If you only get one airsoft gun this year, make it the E90. After you’ve fired a magazine through this compact AEG you’ll never want to go back to anything else.

The real steel version of this rifle is chambered for the wicked 5.7X28mm round which will go through kevlar body armor like a hot knife through butter. While this isn’t something that carries over to the airsoft version, the rifles agility and versatility does. It is so compact that you can easily squeeze through hatches and crawl spaces that you wouldn’t even think about trying to get through with a standard assault rifle. At first glance its ergonomic stock may look a little strange but when you pick it up you’ll find it fits your body so well that it feels like an extension of your arm. In fact the E90 is so easy to handle that you can shoot it nearly as accurately using just one hand as you can with two. And when you bring it up to your shoulder it slides into the firing position so perfectly that you’ll swear it aims itself. The rifle is equipped with iron sights which are cleverly grafted into the 5 inch rail at the front of the rifle. There is also a small 1 inch rail located on each side of the rifle which is perfect for a flashlight or laser.

For those who are experienced with modifying guns, you are going to love how easy it is to work on. For example when changing the inner barrel you can have it out of the gun and on the work bench in just 8 seconds. The gearbox, removed in under 20 seconds. It’s so easy you’ll be asking yourself “Why don’t they make all airsoft guns like this?” Inside of the E90 you will find such goodies as a Mad Bull hop up bucking, steel gears, 7mm metal bushings, reinforced spring guide and a ported piston head.

With a centrally located rotary fire selector and magazine release this rifle is completely ambidextrous and just as easy to use left handed as it is right. The magazine is housed on top of the rifle so they feed down into the chamber instead of up. This allows all rounds to feed from the magazine so you won’t have those annoying few BB’s left over in the feed tube like other AEG’s.

The E90 has a traditional safe, semi and full auto selector, however the full auto setting is unique in that the trigger has two stages. When the trigger is drawn half way back, the rifle will fire a single shot. However, if you pull the trigger all of the way through the rifle starts spewing out ammo at over 14 rounds a second.

A common misconception about the E90 is that it is only useful for close quarters because it is so small that it has no accuracy at long range. This ladies and gentlemen, is hogwash. Although the E90 is arguably the best gun on the market for close quarters, it is also exceptionally effective at longer ranges. Even though it is a mere 20 inches long, it’s bullpup design allows it to have the same 247mm inner barrel as found in the G36C which is 8 inches longer and 3.5 inches taller than the E90. Also, the barrel group in the E90 is so stable that at long range its accuracy is just as good if not better than an M4. All this translates into a gun that has the performance of a full size assault rifle with the maneuverability of a sub machine gun.

Bottom line, the extreme compactness of this gun combined with its impressive effective range insures you will excel in any skirmish environment.

Comes with: TWO magazines, loading tool, 9.6v 1100mah battery pack and 300mah charger. Battery charge time: 3.6 hours

Please note: The E90’s manual is incorrect by illustrating a wind up high capacity magazine which it does not come with. Your E90 will come with two standard magazines which are loaded with the included loading tool by pushing BB’s into the magazines opening.

5 out of 5- Make the decision, October 28, 2008

Now I just found shorty and joined it!I've been playing it for years but I was looking for good deals and found the best web site!
You've already heard all about how the gun looks,But it's weird handling it for a while since there's no grips on the front which your used to on airsoft gun, But let's go to performance. it shoots really good out of the box, everything works perfectly, the internals are some of the best of the P90 types but that's what you should expect if you spend $169 on your gun! I lubed it up even though it was fine but just to make sure, it has a good sound to it, response time it is noted, the rpm can be fixed with some little upgrades (upgrading your gun voids your warranty) but be careful doing it other people screw something and blame the gun. The motor on it is good but I usually expect more for the price range. It's got a good kick to it, it'll make you bleed so watch out. It is the best for the Price!

    STATISTICS
    PROS
    Cool looking
    realistic
    Nice internals
    FPS
    Durable
    Price
    Feel

    CONS
    RPM (Could be higher)
Nothing else I could think of.

This is a good Gun over all,But G&G are the best, Except for systema. I noticed shorty has a gap in quality level they go from the top MPEG's (or even low end HPEG"S) to high High end aeg's in a bond because TM, CA and Star and JG even are at the low end of high end rifles but the best you can get is systema and G&G is the next best thing and they're really really nice Gun's and shorty has them!!!!!! But if you can't find a G&G AK-74 get this.
Just wrote an in depth review since no one has yet ROCK ON SHORTY!!!

    Silent Death out!

    5 out of 5- Echo 1 E90, October 29, 2008

I've been using the Marui version of this gun for over a year now, and with it being my only AEG, it's seen a lot of action. I upgraded the stuffin's out of it, and I gotta say that the v6 gearbox is the cleanest and easiest to work on I've ever seen. It's also got the highest stress tolerances of any gearbox produced to date (able to take 600 fps without breaking a sweat on the stock Marui shell).

Now, seeing what Echo has done for other guns, I have high expectations of how well this thing can perform. The rate of fire "problem" noted by others can be fixed with a simple switch to a 9.6v battery, and nothing should need to be done to the FPS. If you're really feeling adventurous, you can install a MOSFET in this thing (as I did in my Marui), and not only will you save your trigger from melting down any time soon, but your rate of fire will go through the roof (especially with that 9.6v I suggested earlier). As for magazines, give Echo time, and in the meantime use Marui mags as this gun's fully compatible with Marui accessories (by the way, don't believe all the gossip about Marui P90 hicaps...I own 2 of them, and both of them perform flawlessly. When one stops feeding, do what you should do for any mag: lube it up).

Anyway, on to the pros and cons I've discovered over my time using mine:

    Pro:

    Compact design
grip layout (I'm going to put this in both categories because either you love it or you hate it)
v6 gearbox (what a gem of engineering this beauty is)
upgradability (the sky's the limit if you know what you're doing and where to look for parts)
Echo putting out this gun makes parts less scarce (Marui P90 parts are a pain in the rear to find - I've been running on a broken hop chamber for the past 3 months)
Mags (it's just something that "clicks" in the back of your head...You don't even realize you're counting your shots until after the game's over. I've gone an entire game on one 68rd mag, and got a respectable amount of kills)

    Con:

Parts availability (until Echo starts releasing standalone parts, if something (AKA trigger or hop up assembly) other than the actual gearbox breaks you're SOL)
    grip layout
Accessories availability (what accessories you do find you have to earn, because you have to hunt down a retailer that has them, and in stock)

All in all, if you want to be consciously trigger happy, you're probably better off buying either a Marui hicap or a different gun. If you want serious potential, get this gun (I not only got picked up basically "off the streets" by a team that had been watching me since I started playing, but spurred two other people to get P90's).

    5 out of 5- Echo 1 E90 E.T.W. w/ Full Metal Receiver, November 01, 2008

Ok, now before i review the gun, i need to clear something up. Now cypher1993, you are very wrong. It is the best P90 on the market right now so you are right about that. But for everything else, you are wrong. Now I am like you, my standards are set out high with ICS and G&G, because frankly Classic Army is crap, but KWA is good, but not as good as a G&G. Echo 1 is starting to make their way to a high grade aeg company, and this P90 is up in that category. This gun is extremely better than the Marui P90 because of one, the externals on the Echo are much better, and so are the internals, with exception to the motor, which can be easily overlooked with the gun's stock performance. So basically, if you are going off of cypher's review to decide if you want this gun, don't.

Alright, on to the review. So i get the box in the house and i notice that it is not as heavy as i am used to. I open up the package, set aside the manual and other literature, and pull out the gun. Now the gun just melts into your hands and fits like a pair of gloves. One thing i notice is that it comes with two mags, which is very, very nice. Another is that it comes with not a 8.4, but a 9.6 volt battery, which is extremely nice to see.

Now besides remarkable externals, the internals are remarkable, and coming stock 370 fps is another amazing thing. Now the reason that this gun is so accurate is because it actually has a 14 inch inner barrel, which is the same length as a M4 stock barrel. The end of the outer barrel does have a 14mm ccw tip, and although it comes with a orange tip installed, Echo 1 does include a full metal black flash hider that you can install manually on the gun.

The gun has three rails, two on the side, one on the top. The trigger actually functions like a real steal P90. When the full auto function is selected, if you pull half way down on the trigger, you will fire on semi auto, and when you pull the trigger all the way back, you will fire on full auto.

All in all, this gun is probably the best gun that Echo 1 has out right now, and is a great purchase for any circumstance.

Thank you for reading this very long review.
    Ghost Out.

5 out of 5- Looks very nice!, October 25, 2008

This gun looks like an excellent gun. I use a MP5-A4 which is also more or less close quarters and I like it a lot. The E90 looks better than what I have and I'm very tempted to buy it. From reading the description it seems very easy 2 use so this is one gun I would really recommend. Plus its made by Echo. Echo does an excellent job at making good guns for a moderate price. The gun is easily modified which is awesome for those who customize there guns for maximum performance. The only thing I didn't like was the battery size. I always like large type batteries so this is the only con I can see. I would recommend this gun to anyone whose looking for a well priced good performance gun that is FUN and REALLY COOL LOOKING!!

    5 out of 5- AMAZING!, October 30, 2008

Got this a few days ago and Echo 1 did it again! I knew they would make the P90 and they passed with flying colors! Metal receiver, 2 mags, 9.6 1200 battery! WOW! A compact weapon like this pumping out 370 FPS stock is incredible! The ROF is awesome as well. I suggest this to ANYONE! Primary OR secondary weapon, the P90 (E90) IS the way to go!

    4 out of 5- p90, October 26, 2008

overall this gun is awesome. It is very accurate and has a good distance. it is worth the 170 dollars. the only thing is that it only takes 68 shots and i'm a guy that burns 68 shots in two seconds and i haven't seen any spare mags.

wow finally Shorty is adding this gun to their collection. My friend has this gun. it is great. he got it from a store in buffalo a while back and it still works great. this gun shoots fast, hard, and direct. i truly recommend this gun. the only thing that i don't like is that the mag doesn't hold that many rounds but when on full auto your friends will be running. i say that you should buy it. have a good time

    5 out of 5- great buy, October 25, 2008

as you can already see it has a preety good price for such a good wepon. next to the mp5 and m4 series guns the p90 comes in close for best cqb wepon. this particular one has a great rae of fire which is good 4 these types of guns, and it also has a preety good fps. by any other company some thing like this could cost around 280$. i would defiantly buy it.

It's an echo, all I can say is that it might be the best P90 on the market (unless Systema has one) but that it's still not much better than the TM P90. It's a good gun don't get me wrong, but it's just a regular old average Echo 1 gun. I'm a serious airsoft player, and so I'm judging it from my perspective, which is KWA and CA standards. So it's a good beginner gun. Get it!
