One gearbox produces a CQB friendly 350 fps while the other punches out a hard hitting 415 fps for long range field use. Since ECHO 1 used their two piece body design, switching out the gearbox is accomplished easily in a matter of minutes without even needing tools!
While all ECHO 1 models in the past have had their bodies cloned from Tokyo Marui’s, this one is cloned from the G&G PM5 which has been revered as one of the finest replicated M5 models of all time. The upper receiver and lower receiver are connected by a pair of pins with spring loaded locks which once removed allows for the body to be quickly separated making it exceptionally easy to work on. Aside form this model being a breeze to take down it also very realistic and features a mock bolt which actually moves back in the ejection port when the cocking lever is pulled. The internal hop up lever is located inside of the ejection port so it is shielded from being moved accidentally by brushing against clothing or foliage. Its Navy style flash hider is made of metal and locks overtop of a traditional three lug muzzle. The muzzle has a 14mm CCW threaded tip although it is covered by an orange plastic ring. (Removing the ring is possible so a mock silencer could be attached however please be aware that this will void the guns 30 day warranty).
The Master Series MS5-A5 is equipped with a 4 position collapsible stock with molded cheek rest and rubber butt pad for greater versatility and comfort. It also has been fitted with a full metal RAS and low profile sight mount making it possible to attach a plethora of available accessories and optics. The battery is housed inside of the mock laser box which can accept 8.4v mini type batteries as well as 9.6v butterfly and nun-chuck packs!
It uses a modified V2 metal gearbox which has been factory upgraded for both performance and durability. Internal components include a high performance spring, steel gears with oversized tappet cam, 7mm steel bushings, steel spring guide with bearings, polycarbonate piston and ported piston head.
The performance achieved by this gun is mind blowing for any AEG let alone one which is as compact as the M5. With the field gearbox installed it is capable of punching out shots at over 400 fps makes being on the business end a rather unpleasant experience for any player unlucky enough to oppose it. The guns power coupled with an extremely solid barrel platform and factory installed Mad Bull enhanced hop up bucking gives it exceptionally consistent accuracy making it possible to pull off shots taken from over 50 yards away!
