If you are a fan of the 1911 then you would be crazy to pass up this amazing pistol. Featuring metal construction and fully licensed trademarks from Colt this 1911 is a must have for collectors and players alike.

Adopted by the US Army on March 29th, 1911 the Colt .45 cal. pistol has seen service in both world wars and is still in use today by some of our nation’s most elite combat units. It has now been in service for nearly 100 years and over 2,000,000 units have been produced.

This fully licensed airsoft replica of the famous pistol features authentic trademarks on its slide and a realistic gun metal grey finish. With the exception of the outer barrel and magazine the entire gun is metal giving it a hefty weight and pleasing metallic clank when cocked. After a bit of use we noticed the finish actually starts to weather just like the real pistol giving a convincing “old school” appearance. The design is a near exact clone of the UHC 1911 and is compatible with the UHC 1911 magazines. The magazine which comes with the pistol has a 12 round capacity with a 50 round reservoir. The reservoir is a cavity in the back of the magazine which acts has a reserve so when the 12 rounds are depleted you can pull down the spring follower and let 12 more BBs in.

Performance is outstanding with plenty of power and range. The hop-up system in this pistol is slightly more aggressive than the UHC model so you’ll want to shoot .2g BBs or heavier for best accuracy.

    5 out of 5- Really good, February 28, 2009

Just got this gun and the first thing I noticed is almost the entire gun is metal. This quality and craftsmanship is great and feels almost real besides that the grips are plastic (i should get some wood ones). Also it has a ton of trademarks on the slide.

Only problem so far is that the gun comes with two large warning and made in china stickers on the slide. Removing them is a pain in the butt.

    Performance
the performance is above average for the price and is just as good as the kwc pistols. if you look in the open ejection port it is very similar to the UHC 1911.
Once the hop up kicks in it is pretty accurate with .2s

one other problem is that the mag is really plasticy and weird to load so just get some UHC 1911 mags

altogether this is a good pistol for wars and an amazing gun for collecting.

    4 out of 5- 1911 by Colt, March 06, 2009

If you're wondering, this pistol is made by Colt, not TM as it might look similar to.
First of yes it's full metal as advertised weighing 1.37lb. Now it is full metal but not the best there is. my front sight is a tad bit off as are some of the seams down the middle of the lower receiver and hand grip. It's pretty accurate with .20gram bb's. It looks like it's between 250-280 fps. The slide does not look removable like the gas version and real steel. Also note that the orange tip is part of the barrel inside and out, which means a paint job is about the only way to remove it. The magazine is 100% cheap plastic and is the worst thing about this gun. Though it holds 50 rounds using a reservoir in the back of the clip, which makes a ton of rattling noise.

    Pros-
    Full Metal assembly
    50 round magazine
easy to cock and sounds great
real safeties like on the RS version

    Cons-
    Plastic magazine
    Not the best metal construction
    Unremovable orange tip
makes noise when mag is full

This is a great spring pistol, however I would not recommend you take it into battle. The enemy can hear you coming and I'm betting the mag won't last the war and tear of very many battles.

    5 out of 5- 1911, May 16, 2009

The thing I like about this gun is it's all metal. The balance is perfect! I bought it at a gun store by where I live. I compared this to the uhc 1911 and chose this because of the quality of the gun. Great for a back up in skirmishes! Some of my friends thought it was a gas gun just because it's metal. Flip up the safety and slide will be locked in place and the hammer cannot be cocked back either. The trigger cannot be pulled if the grip safety is not down. Yes, it does have an open ejection port. I didn't have any problem w/ the magazine it came w/. I lost it at the last game I went to. Not that big of a deal anyway because I'll buying the recommended mags made by uhc because they hold more. I don't like reservoirs in mags. Too noisy. So I don't use it. I'm a sniper and I require that all my stuff doesn't give my position away. This pistol is best made for close quarters combat. Don't be afraid to get rough w/ it. It is the strongest pistol out there as far as springers go in build. It's the only one I know of that is metal. I can fall on it and not worry that I broke it. If the mag rattles a little, take the left grip off and tighten the screw under it.

    I highly recommend it!!

    5 out of 5- AWESOME!!!, June 09, 2009

My friend owns this pistol and it is great. It is everything you need in a small gun.

    First Impressions:
The first thing I noticed when i got this gun is that it is full metal, except for the hand guards. When you pull the slide back it makes a very cool sound, hard to describe, but it sounds cool.

    Performance:
The performance for the size is incredible. I thought the mags were weird however. When you shoot the gun, it's fairly quiet. But when i made a silencer out of a film case, it looked 1000x cooler and made it beast quiet (get a film canister, poke 2 holes in it, fill the middle with paper towel, slide it on the barrel, makes your gun a LOT quieter). Also it was really accurate. When I was using .2g bb's I get head shots at at least 75 feet. BEAST

    Pros:
    Full Metal
    Easy To Use
    Will Last Very Long
Good FPS (aim for the head ;)
    Accurate
    Life-Like
    Awesome

    Cons:
    Stock Mags Are Weird

    Final Recommendations:
    High Polish .2g or .23g BB's
    Homemade Silencer
    UHC Mags
    Lube
Real 1911 Grips (usmc type ones are the best)

    Overall a must

    5 out of 5- SICK!, June 20, 2009

I got this gun about a month ago. It hasn't broken once since I got it.
I sometimes have pistol battles with my friends and with this gun I usually will win. This gun is full metal except the hand grips. Over all this gun is very good for a spring pistol at this price

    Pros:
    Full Metal
    Easy To Use
    Long lasting
    Durable
    Great FPS
    Accurate
    Looks Real
    Awesome

    Cons:
    None

If you are looking for a awesome gun for a great price this is by far the best one on shorty.

4 out of 5- Compared to the UHC model, June 20, 2009

I recently purchased this Colt to see how it compared to the popular and economic UHC 1911.

Appearance: Besides the barrel and magazine the Colt is indeed full metal, making it heavier than the UHC and personally giving me more balance when aiming. Another thing i can appreciate is how the sights are built slightly taller, making it easier for me to aim. I have to agree with Alphapie that this is not the best metal construction I have seen, the most notable being in the very apparent seam running down the top of the slide, something which the UHC model does not have at all. The bolts hiding on the other side of the gun also detract from some of its realism. In my personal opinion however, the Colt beats the UHC in terms of overall realism due to its weight, trademarks, color and metal material.

Performance: I noticed that the rattle of the colt itself (not the magazine) is slightly louder than the UHC, but not loud enough to pose a real problem. The slide also slides more smoothly when cocked. Hop-up on the colt is indeed slightly more aggressive, so you'll be seeing .20g's flying straighter for a little while longer. I would personally only use the plastic mag for target practice when I'm too lazy to reload the UHC mags; so keep it out of battle.

Conclusion: If you're a 1911 fan like me, the colt model may strike your fancy more for an extra $15, even if it's a stretch for slightly improved performance and a more authentic appearance. Otherwise if you're on a budget, the UHC will do just fine.

5 out of 5- Colt and Airsoft, February 27, 2009

The construction of this weapon is great to the point you may forget it only fires BBs and not .45 rounds. The 1911 is always a great pistol of choice (my personal favorite, too) and you can't go wrong with something like this.

    Go for it!

5 out of 5- Like the real thing, April 18, 2009

This pistol looks awesome. It's full metal body gives it that weight that makes it feel like the real thing. This gun is very accurate and shoots very good. The cocking is easy and the gun is comfortable when shooting it. Overall, get this gun!
