The Sig Sauer P226 was designed in the early 1980’s to compete in the XM9 trials for a contract with the US Military as their standard issue service pistol to replace the aging M1911. Only two pistols passed the trials, the Berretta M9 and the P226. The contract eventually went to the competing Berretta M9, mainly because of cost, however the P226 was adopted by a number of elite military forces including the Navy SEALs after encountering catastrophic failures with their issued M9’s.

This replica of the P226 is fully licensed and features authentic trademarks. While it may not be the most powerful pistol on the market, if you are not concerned with ventilating soda cans and would like a nice feeling target pistol to plink around with... this is your gun! Despite its lower power this pistol is capable of shooting a .2g BB out to 90 feet away with respectable accuracy so it is more than adequate for plinking in the backyard or your basement.

The Sig Sauer 226 is completely metal with the exception of its plastic grips. Frame, slide, barrel, trigger and magazine are all metal so slapping the mag in and racking the slide back makes a really nice "cha-chink". The take down lever is functional so the slide can easily be removed from the frame in less time than it takes to read this sentence. The P226 also features an open ejection port and a railed frame for installation of a laser or flashlight to trick out your pistol.

This has to be the best spring Sig on the market. It shoots great and accurate. FULL METAL. This pistol works very great as a backup or a backup to a backup in those intense games.

5 out of 5- Sig Sauer P226 Full Metal Spring Pistol, May 03, 2009

First of all, please don't review guns you have not owned or used.
Now on to my review. This gun is full metal, with excellent durability and quality. It's not gonna break on you. It also has full SIG trademarks, which I like a lot. Now for performance. WOW! This gun shoots over 300fps! NO, JUST KIDDING. This gun shoots around 200fps. I know Shorty says it
shoots 150fps, but I tested it with my chrono. Accuracy is good within the limited range of this gun, about 50ft. So, you might be thinking not to get this. But I found an excellent use for this gun, as a backup or last resort gun. It is small enough and easily concealable. The thing that really makes this gun is the realism. My friend's dad, who's a cop, showed me his service
handgun, a SIG P226, and we both could hardly tell the difference. Be careful with this gun, because it looks real.

GET THIS GUN IF YOU NEED A BACKUP OR JUST LOVE SIGS

    4 out of 5- okay., March 26, 2009

I like the full metal and the looks, but its power is bad and the range sucks. I would never use this in a game against my rival team. We usually play until you surrender, which means you get shot a lot. But this gun doesn't hurt at all. My friend shot himself at point blank and laughed.

Get KWC HPA pistols. They are better.

    3 out of 5- eehhhhh......, April 08, 2009

i have to admit that although this looks and feels nasty, it doesn't have that good of performance. it is tough as a rock though. but it's your choice, do you want kick ass performance or bad ass looks?

5 out of 5- VERY good gun!, May 06, 2009

    Very solid.
    VERY accurate.
    Decent power.
    Nice balance.
Very good looking & a solid shooter!

Buy at least two extra mags for it! For $5.99 that's a must!

    2 out of 5- A little disappointed, September 16, 2009

This gun is OK, but there were a few things I thought the gun included but didn't which really disappointed me. I was hoping this gun would have a slide lock on the frame to simulate reloading as if you shot with a real firearm. I would also have liked a movable hammer and functional safety/ decocker to simulate real handgun handling. Lastly what got me upset the most was a lack of working gun sights. The rear sight on the gun is purely cosmetic. I previously owned a HF Usp spring airsoft gun with real sights and working slide lock, safety, and hammer. Although this is my first full metal airsoft gun, so i'm pretty happy with that!

    2 out of 5- looks cool... and that's it, November 07, 2009

to start out with, this gun is made by cybergun under the name swiss arms.

    the box:
what i got with my gun was a mag, the gun, and a small bag of bbs (i threw these out 'cause you never can trust the box bbs ;))

    The gun:
when i took it out of the box i was surprised at the weight of it, FULL METAL! The mag weighs as much as a loaded 9mm mag! And the gun made a satisfying CHA CHINK when cocked. The thing i don't like about it though is the sights. They are a front post and for the rear it is nothing more than a piece of metal coming out of the slide... useless. The slide, as i was disappointed to find out, was a shell design with screws in it.

    Performance:
well i loaded 17 .20gs in the mag, and stuck it in the gun. It sounded AWESOME! i racked the slide and pulled the trigger... nothing, racked it again - a bb comes out the barrel. I can't tell you the performance of the gun 'CAUSE IT WOULDN'T FIRE!!! I found out that something was wrong with the chamber and was too tight, and the piston couldn't push it out. All the air was coming out the back of the gun.

    Pros:
    full metal
    sounds really cool
    nice mag

    Cons:
    IT DOESN'T FIRE!
    IT DOESN'T FIRE!
the mag drops randomly without pushing the release.

So if you're looking for a wall hanger, this is your gun. However if you want an airsoft gun that fires, you need to get something else - maybe try one of the thousands of p226 replicas. And stay away from cybergun.

    2 out of 5- VERY disappointing!!!!, December 10, 2009

I literally just got this gun in the mail 15 minutes ago. I take the gun out of the box and boy does it feel good in my hand! I slide a magazine in and it still feels great. I rack the slide back and it's okay, not the best, but ok. I take aim....wtf!!!! the back sight is just a lump!! Ok, I can survive with that. I load a single BB into a magazine to test fire the gun. As always, I point the gun down to rack the slide. I hear a little pop on the ground and what do ya know, the BB fell out. I tried loading different BB's in all 3 of my magazines and the same thing happens every time. I'm using KSC high polished 0.2 g BB's. There is no safety on this gun, the take down lever is waaaaay too easy to move, and BB's fall out of it. The only use I can see for this toy is for a wall hanger, which I really don't need because I have a real P226.

    Pros:
    All Metal
    Very nice weight

    Cons:
BB's fall out when pointing down
    Magazine wiggles
Take down lever too easy to use

    5 out of 5- love it, December 31, 2009

First off i would like to say this gun will break if you run it over with your truck, but it won't break if you drop it out your window from the 3 floor of your house. the gun is very durable and it makes a cool sound when cocking 'cause of the full metal. the gun is very accurate and it is easy to cock. the only bad part of the gun is the plastic grip on the handle, otherwise i love it and would say anyone else should buy it if you have the money.

4 out of 5- COOL GUN, BUT...., June 08, 2009

I just received this gun today. it came with some yellow bbs, which i'm not sure are the best, reason i say this is, since this is my 1st gun, i have nothing to compare it to. i'm not sure what MY issue is, i haven't been able to hit a can on a counter from 20 ft away, and the bbs turn up. every time i adjust the hop-up, it still turns however. could be the cheapo bbs they came with - i'm expecting some high quality bbs tomorrow. as far as weight, looks, and functions, this gun is AWESOME!! it's not very powerful, but shoots far, I just need to work on my AIM. For the money I spent on this pistol, i'll have to say i'm satisfied. my next pistol from shorty will be a co2 powered beretta, or something like that type. BIG FAN OF THE ALL METAL AND THE REALISM.
