When Echo 1 first started making guns with 400 fps, I was speechless. Now this is what I've come to expect of Echo 1. Echo 1 has always made great middle class guns, but now seem to be moving on to upper middle class/low high class guns.

Enough of that. This gun is INSANE! with 435 fps how could this gun not be one of your top options for a great, realistic ak? With a range of 200 ft, this is on the verge of being a sniper. The rate of fire is 700 which is a bit low (800 is about average) but with such a high fps rate, it won't really matter if you hit them 7 times instead of 10 times. This gun comes with REALISTIC detail, something Echo 1 doesn't really specialize in. It weighs 7 pounds and is full metal! But what is better than full metal? Metal and wood! This just adds more to the INSANENESS factor of this gun. My advice- just buy this gun if you're not an upgrade person and still want a high quality ak-47 that will last you as long as you play airsoft.

when i noticed that echo 1 started making these insane guns i couldn't believe it. i have their mp5 a4 task force and with that gun i talked my friend into getting this baby. it's crazy...so much fps, range, accuracy, and with a red dot he owns everyone on the field. these guns are equivalent or better than the "high class" guns like ICS and classic army. if you look into their gearboxes, you will see that echo 1's top of the line guns have equal or better internals, like a metal spring guide, metal bushings, etc etc. and they also come with a high performance spring. the "high class" guns can take a spring out of the box (usually), so buying one of echo 1's guns takes the annoying work out of immediately dropping in a spring so you have a chance on the field. BUY THIS GUN (OR ANY OTHERS FROM ECHO 1)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just got this gun today. jeez it owns. i shot at a can in my backyard and demolished it.

solid gun!
PROS:

CONS:
ROF is a little low
at first it feels weird in your hands but you get used to it very quickly.

besides those two, awesome gun, easily the best gun i own. GET IT!!!!!

I got this gun and was amazed at how realistic it looked and felt. Plus it is very durable. With 435 FPS, and an effective range of 200 ft. why wouldn't you buy it.

Pros:

Even though this gun has low ROF ,the pros out weigh the cons.

I would give it a 4 as an AEG, but a 5 as a DMR. The way I see it, this gun isn't meant for field battle. it's meant to be in the hands of an accurate shooter within a squad. It's meant to be on semi-auto most of the time, but when the fight gets rough switch to full and help out your squad. I do recommend .28 Gram bbs for the gun because of its velocity. A lower weight bb will be unstable in flight (anything over 400 FPS should use .28s). I'm not writing this review to tell you how accurate the gun is or low the rpm is or even the fact that it's amazingly durable and authentic. No, I'm just here to hopefully clear up the fact that this should be used as a DMR with a low power scope. (So if you think about it that way the RPM is actually fantastic!)

Just picked up this gun last week and put it to the test last Sunday in a nice game and it performed great. I use 023 BB's and it was shooting around 420. The wood looks great and there's a nice feel to the gun. Accuracy is a little off and that can be fixed with a tight bore inner barrel. Nice markings and a scope mount if you want to throw a low profile reflex red dot on top. The rate of fire can be fixed by just upgrading the battery to a 9.6 2000 mah. I put a 7.4 li-poly 2000 mah in it and played for 4 hours with the nice rate of fire and will not hurt the gear box. Just don't lay on the trigger. Keep the bursts quick and you will be fine. The clip feeds perfectly with little or no extra winding.

When I looked at some of the earlier Echo 1 guns, I thought they were pretty good. But now when I look at this one and some of the more recent guns they have created shooting well over 415fps, I just can't help but stare in awe at the computer screen.

This is essentially an AK47. This might be Echo 1's highest velocity gun, other than the Echo 1 A.S.C. The effective range is at 200ft and the velocity is 435fps, so this gun even beats some snipers with both velocity and range.

PROs:
-Velocity (435 fps? that's one of the highest I've seen on an aeg...)
-Range (200 feet? I've only seen one or two guns surpassing this...)
-Construction (Solid as a rock.)
-Looks (Take the orange flash hider off, and take it in public. Watch the cops drop bombshells in their pants. but seriously don't take it out in public)
-Selective fire (single, auto)
-Mag capacity (600 rounds...that's nuts)
-Price (yes it is expensive but for the price, and overall, this is one of the best aeg's ever.)

CONs:
-RPM (700 might be kind of low but it is not too far from the real thing. if you're a realism fan, an ak isn't supposed to churn out 800-900 rounds per minute.)

it's a really nice gun. only problem is the rpm, but again, rpm you don't NEED, but it's nice to have. the wood on it is nice but the stock where you put the battery in is a little thin/hollow. Another thing is they say you can use a large type, but i don't think you can cuz (1) it won't fit and (2) i don't want to jam it in and break the wood cuz it is pretty thin in the back by the stock. Id prob use a butterfly or something, not sure if it would work out that well though.. another little problem that I, in my opinion, don't like is when you change from safety to auto and semi, there is a gap where you can see the inside of the gun, but no big deal. really, another thing is in order to put the battery in the stock, you need a screw driver, which is a little annoying. feels a little weird in hands at first cuz the grip is really bumpy and the handle is smaller than my other ak (full metal vector arms). the hop up is adjusted by pulling back on the black handle and i would use .25s, not .28s. still a good gun and i know it seems like im complaining about this gun, but they are minor problems that i don't like - doesn't mean you will or won't. Still a very nice gun and, if i were you, i would definitely get it.

Echo1 did a nice job with the construction and furniture. The FPS may be a bit extreme for beginners, and the the price may deter them slightly. You get what you pay for, and here you get a lot. The RPM, while rather low compared to other AEGs, is acceptable because it more accurately portrays the real AK-47 who's RPM checks in at between 600-700 rounds per minute. Echo1 does it again!
