Click here to start our 24/7 Helper Console!Cybergun’s airsoft recreation of the M14 SCOUT is a solidly built and awesome performing piece of plastic slinging weaponry. With the exception of its synthetic stock and barrel shroud the rifle is constructed entirely out of metal giving it a solid feel and realistic heft. The rifle has excellent attention of detail throughout adding to its realism. Its synthetic stock features a pebbled non-slip texture and aggressive cross checkered grips. Located 8 ¾ inches behind the front sight is a 4 inch accessory rail which protrudes from the barrel shroud and is ideal for mounting a reflex sight or long eye relief scope. Its rear peep sight is fully adjustable and functions just like the sight on a real M14. Even the bolt which has no real function on the airsoft rifle is replicated in great detail in that it actually rotates before sliding back into the rifles receiver.
Now you might think that with its shortened barrel the M14 SCOUT might have lost its long range capability. That is far from being the case here thanks greatly to its solid barrel platform and precision barrel. This rifle is capable of taking down targets from 60 yards out with deadly consistency when using heavy weight .28g BBs. We also found there was an added benefit of shedding that excess barrel length in that the rifle has now become far better balanced allowing for faster target acquisition when bringing the rifle up for a snap shot. Internally the M14 SCOUT is equipped with a full metal Version 7 gearbox which is outfitted with steel gears and metal bushings for maximum durability.
