This sleek bolt action rifle is the SA1 from Swiss Arms. At first glance you might not think it is anything special since it looks like a traditional spring plinker. If so we are happy to inform you that you are sadly mistaken. The SA1 is a full fledged sniper rifle ready for long range action right out of the box.

Its barrel, receiver, bolt and trigger box are all constructed out of metal and are bedded perfectly into its stock so the rifle feels rock solid in your hands. The stock itself is constructed out of anti-shock ABS but features an imitation wood finish with very convincing wood grain. Atop the receiver is a 5.5 inch, 13 slot weaver rail for mounting optics. The rail is fastened securely to the receiver by 4 screws making for a very solid mounting platform.

To say its out of the box performance was impressive would be an understatement. Its 435mm barrel coupled with a very precise hop-up system lets the SA1 achieve outstanding accuracy. The hop-up has a very wide range of adjustment allowing the SA1 to effectively use any high quality BB weighing between .2g and .43g. Driven by a powerful spring piston a .2g BB cracks 440 fps at the muzzle and is sent streaking out to 200+ feet. Using a Mad Bull .4g BB we were actually able to pull off three consecutive hits on a torso sized target at a distance of 225 feet. In a 15mph crosswind!

The rifles smooth operation is equally as impressive as the rifles performance. With a silky bolt action, minimal cocking effort and light trigger the SA1 is possibly one of the easiest sniper rifles to operate in our current inventory.

Comes with: 120 rd speed loader and sling. (Please note that the sling has rather weak hooks so it is suggested to upgrade to a UTG rifle sling.)

5 out of 5- The Swiss know their stuff., September 28, 2009

Me and a friend bought this gun due to the surprising specs and build for this price range. The brand was new, so we decided to give it a shot. (ignore the pun)

It arrives, and we get to work specing it out... Looks good, not full-trademark perfection or anything, but we liked it. .25 shot out of the box (added scope) @ 150ft... Groupings all 1 and a quarter inches. Surprising! And after the hop-up was fine-tuned we tried again... Within an inch, easily. 200ft got really nice results with about 3 inch groups...It was well worth the money for the specs (keep in mind these stats were achieved with a bipod, scope, and tenacious aim.)

This gun has great range, works well in the field, and earns its keep right away. We tried a battle with it, 5v5, I took it on and had a ball. Used .28s and at about 180ft got 3 kills with the help of an awesome spotter.

    This thing has

    Amazing Range
    Great Accuracy
    Nice Mag-cap
    Distinct Look
    Niiice Price

Only con is that there are better guns, but they're 150 dollars more...

Great gun, a nice addition to any collection.

    5 out of 5- I um, i.. i.. um, GAWD THIS SNIPER. ABSOLUTELY aaaamaaazing!, October 21, 2009

I've seen a lot of surprisingly good Airsoft guns in my lifetime. This, THIS is probably the most BAFFLING Airsoft gun ever. I mean... just...

Performance. When I headed over to my buddy's Airsoft store to check out the new gear, this sniper was there. I decided to test it out even though I was SURE it would just be crappy and the Super 9 would be better then it.

I was wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong!!!

This thing shoots like a high priced sniper rifle. Exactly the same. It's super accurate. It's super powerful. THOSE are the things I like in a airsoft gun. 18/20 times we shot a from about 190 feet away. Superb.

This CAN be upgraded, but literally it can be used in a war right after you purchase it. So if you are like me and feel uncomfortable about opening your gun up, this is your ticket.

The build design is incredible. The wood can be compared to a Warhawk gen 3. And if you didn't know, that's freaking incredible. Trigger, bolt, and barrel are made out of metal. Holding this is extremely comfortable.

Price: A . After i was amazed at its performance at the firing range, I asked what its price was. 105 dollars. (Shorty is cheaper) After I heard that, I immediately bought one and took it home.

If you are looking for an incredible deal on a incredible gun, this is your sniper.

    5 out of 5- Swiss Arms SA1... Exceptional, October 01, 2009

A guy on my team used this gun, same brand and model, but with no scope (he couldn't afford it) and even as basic as it was it was still a very nice gun. I may be wrong (correct me if I am) but it looks like a M24 (M700). Since Shorty's covered basically everything, all I can do is vouch for them --

    - It HURTS!!!
    - Is freakin accurate!
    - The bolt is incredibly smooth (smoother than my M324)
    - It has a larger mag cap than the MK96 or the M324
    - It's almost the same manageable size(in sniper rifle terms) of the M324 but has the power and range of the MK96!?!?!
    - Easy access hop up

    - And it looks really nice.

It's a really good sniper rifle for a pretty good price. BUY IT.

    5 out of 5- Surprising for many reasons. , October 27, 2009

Today i received my SA1 from UPS and opened it immediately. I noticed that the "wood" finish really does look amazing. Also I noticed that the gun, once assembled, was extremely comfortable to hold, more so than my old UTG M324. After having put on my scope mount and the scope itself I went outside and shot around in my backyard. Using Echo 1 .28g bb's the power of this gun was made obvious to me. I shot into the woods and heard the bb bounce off of multiple trees in a loud cacophony. The gun itself makes little noise. I also tried using my madbull .36g Bb's, however, I couldn't see them because of their color... though I was able to hit everything I aimed at. Anyway time for a synopsis:

    Looks: (5/5)
The wood grain really adds to the hunting feel of this gun. I love it. With the scope on it it looks amazing. I am very glad that it looks the way it was advertised to look.

    Performance: (5/5)
Amazing. The bb's speared through the air with ease. The accuracy is incredible... the bb's go straight every time. No exaggeration. It can be harder to sight in your scope though if you aren't using white bb's. Anyway... the way this gun shoots is rather awesome.

    Construction: (4/5)
The gun is quite light. This isn't a problem... as it feels nice to hold. However... for all of you people who want a bit more heft... go with something else. The stock seems rather tough. The firing assembly is all metal and won't break... The hop up lever on the side of the barrel is garbage. It is made of shitty plastic. I know that it will break if i don't treat it well. Additionally... the magazine release button is a pain. You really have to pull to get the mag out. These are just little things though which can be fixed and avoided with proper care.

This gun is a very good value. 100 dollars for something that performs impressively is not a large expense. Plus... the 28 round magazine capacity will keep you shooting for a while.

Overall this gun receives a 14 out of 15 for me. Thank you for reading this and I hope that you will rate it!

    5 out of 5- great, September 28, 2009

i bought this gun along with a thing of .4's and it is amazing. This is the best gun for this price. The best part about it is the hop up, it is so powerful, it could carry .43's probably. If you get this gun definitely get either .4's or .43's.

    Pros:
    powerful
    accurate
    great price
    great hop up
    bolt is so smooth.

    cons:
    Hard to take apart
    mags seem kind of cheap.

If you think this is just another one of those crappy 100 dollar snipers for beginners, it's not. This can out range my friend's kwa m16!

    5 out of 5- imagine , October 08, 2009

This is the best sniper for $100. When I first got this gun I thought that it was real wood, so it's a really nice imitation wood. The hop up on it is also very good. I use .28's and it's shooting faster than my echo 1 er-25k which is 400 fps with .2's, and it's shooting faster than that with .28's. Also it's mostly metal except for the stock, the trigger guard, the mag release button, and the mag. It's really accurate, looks awesome, it's easy to cock, and it's not that heavy at 4.25lbs.

    pros:
    powerful
    accurate
    hop up
    4.25lbs
    a lot of metal
    imitation wood stock
    easy to use
    $100
    28rd mag cap

    cons:
    plastic mag's
    plastic trigger guard

3 out of 5- for the price ok, but get the magnum 5 instead, November 19, 2009

My friend lent me this gun for a couple weeks.
I'll just go on to the pros and cons

    pros
    -the fps is not bad
-the mag is pretty tough (the swiss arms black eagle m6 sniper mag broke after i dropped it once) this one i dropped twice and it is still fine
-the bolt is easy to run too, so if you're cornered in a war you're not completely helpless
    -has a built in rail
    - it does work with .2 bbs
    -light weight

    cons
-if there is any wind at all, since the gun is not quite powerful enough to use over .25 with any good distance, the bb sails
-this gun is not amazingly accurate it always curves to one side
    - has no iron sights
-since there are no iron sights you need to use a scope, but since the gun is not consistent enough to use a scope practically you're stuck with a rail mount as your sights
-has no way to mount a bi-pod, but since this gun is light you don't really need one
-this gun does not have a lot of metal parts

well one thing that i personally do not like about it but isn't really a con is that it is very thin
MY OVER ALL JUDGEMENT of this gun is buy a utg magnum 5. it's the same price but is a much better performing gun(i think it's cooler looking too, but that's more of an opinion)
If you want a really great sniper, get the utg magnum 5, or if you don't mind spending an extra 60 bucks, a utg shadow ops mk96 .

    Thanks for reading.
