- The Swiss know their stuff., September 28, 2009
Me and a friend bought this gun due to the surprising specs and build for this price range. The brand was new, so we decided to give it a shot. (ignore the pun)
It arrives, and we get to work specing it out... Looks good, not full-trademark perfection or anything, but we liked it. .25 shot out of the box (added scope) @ 150ft... Groupings all 1 and a quarter inches. Surprising! And after the hop-up was fine-tuned we tried again... Within an inch, easily. 200ft got really nice results with about 3 inch groups...It was well worth the money for the specs (keep in mind these stats were achieved with a bipod, scope, and tenacious aim.)
This gun has great range, works well in the field, and earns its keep right away. We tried a battle with it, 5v5, I took it on and had a ball. Used .28s and at about 180ft got 3 kills with the help of an awesome spotter.
This thing has
Amazing Range
Great Accuracy
Nice Mag-cap
Distinct Look
Niiice Price
Only con is that there are better guns, but they're 150 dollars more...
Great gun, a nice addition to any collection.

- I um, i.. i.. um, GAWD THIS SNIPER. ABSOLUTELY aaaamaaazing!, October 21, 2009
I've seen a lot of surprisingly good Airsoft guns in my lifetime. This, THIS is probably the most BAFFLING Airsoft gun ever. I mean... just...
Performance. When I headed over to my buddy's Airsoft store to check out the new gear, this sniper was there. I decided to test it out even though I was SURE it would just be crappy and the Super 9 would be better then it.
I was wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong!!!
This thing shoots like a high priced sniper rifle. Exactly the same. It's super accurate. It's super powerful. THOSE are the things I like in a airsoft gun. 18/20 times we shot a from about 190 feet away. Superb.
This CAN be upgraded, but literally it can be used in a war right after you purchase it. So if you are like me and feel uncomfortable about opening your gun up, this is your ticket.
The build design is incredible. The wood can be compared to a Warhawk gen 3. And if you didn't know, that's freaking incredible. Trigger, bolt, and barrel are made out of metal. Holding this is extremely comfortable.
Price: A . After i was amazed at its performance at the firing range, I asked what its price was. 105 dollars. (Shorty is cheaper) After I heard that, I immediately bought one and took it home.
If you are looking for an incredible deal on a incredible gun, this is your sniper.

- Swiss Arms SA1... Exceptional, October 01, 2009
A guy on my team used this gun, same brand and model, but with no scope (he couldn't afford it) and even as basic as it was it was still a very nice gun. I may be wrong (correct me if I am) but it looks like a M24 (M700). Since Shorty's covered basically everything, all I can do is vouch for them --
- It HURTS!!!
- Is freakin accurate!
- The bolt is incredibly smooth (smoother than my M324)
- It has a larger mag cap than the MK96 or the M324
- It's almost the same manageable size(in sniper rifle terms) of the M324 but has the power and range of the MK96!?!?!
- Easy access hop up
- And it looks really nice.
It's a really good sniper rifle for a pretty good price. BUY IT.

- Surprising for many reasons. , October 27, 2009
Today i received my SA1 from UPS and opened it immediately. I noticed that the "wood" finish really does look amazing. Also I noticed that the gun, once assembled, was extremely comfortable to hold, more so than my old UTG M324. After having put on my scope mount and the scope itself I went outside and shot around in my backyard. Using Echo 1 .28g bb's the power of this gun was made obvious to me. I shot into the woods and heard the bb bounce off of multiple trees in a loud cacophony. The gun itself makes little noise. I also tried using my madbull .36g Bb's, however, I couldn't see them because of their color... though I was able to hit everything I aimed at. Anyway time for a synopsis:
Looks: (5/5)
The wood grain really adds to the hunting feel of this gun. I love it. With the scope on it it looks amazing. I am very glad that it looks the way it was advertised to look.
Performance: (5/5)
Amazing. The bb's speared through the air with ease. The accuracy is incredible... the bb's go straight every time. No exaggeration. It can be harder to sight in your scope though if you aren't using white bb's. Anyway... the way this gun shoots is rather awesome.
Construction: (4/5)
The gun is quite light. This isn't a problem... as it feels nice to hold. However... for all of you people who want a bit more heft... go with something else. The stock seems rather tough. The firing assembly is all metal and won't break... The hop up lever on the side of the barrel is garbage. It is made of shitty plastic. I know that it will break if i don't treat it well. Additionally... the magazine release button is a pain. You really have to pull to get the mag out. These are just little things though which can be fixed and avoided with proper care.
This gun is a very good value. 100 dollars for something that performs impressively is not a large expense. Plus... the 28 round magazine capacity will keep you shooting for a while.
Overall this gun receives a 14 out of 15 for me. Thank you for reading this and I hope that you will rate it!

- imagine , October 08, 2009
This is the best sniper for $100. When I first got this gun I thought that it was real wood, so it's a really nice imitation wood. The hop up on it is also very good. I use .28's and it's shooting faster than my echo 1 er-25k which is 400 fps with .2's, and it's shooting faster than that with .28's. Also it's mostly metal except for the stock, the trigger guard, the mag release button, and the mag. It's really accurate, looks awesome, it's easy to cock, and it's not that heavy at 4.25lbs.
pros:
powerful
accurate
hop up
4.25lbs
a lot of metal
imitation wood stock
easy to use
$100
28rd mag cap
cons:
plastic mag's
plastic trigger guard

- great, September 28, 2009
i bought this gun along with a thing of .4's and it is amazing. This is the best gun for this price. The best part about it is the hop up, it is so powerful, it could carry .43's probably. If you get this gun definitely get either .4's or .43's.
Pros:
powerful
accurate
great price
great hop up
bolt is so smooth.
cons:
Hard to take apart
mags seem kind of cheap.
If you think this is just another one of those crappy 100 dollar snipers for beginners, it's not. This can out range my friend's kwa m16!

- My first extremely long review, April 14, 2010
Just a week ago, while playing with my friends in a field game, I noticed that nearly our entire team of 15 were all being taken out by snipers, even though most of the enemy team were using really good AEG's and getting fairly close. I decided to head in with my M324 and check the situation. I was using the M324, a UTG Weaver Rail Bi-Pod, a 4x32 Mil-Dot airsoft rifle scope, .28g BB's, and a ghillie suit I was borrowing from a friend (not to mention, awesome aim). As I headed up with my spotter, I ducked down because I saw a flash from a scope in the sunlight. I told my spotter but before he could do anything, he was hit and moaned from the pain. I told him to duck down and draw fire for me by being distracting, while I ran about 25 feet to cover in some bushes. I figured the shot was at least 150 feet away, since that's the approximate distance from the nearest sniper nest. I saw the flash again, and was nearly hit if I hadn't reacted from the flash. I took aim with my M324, but nearly a half a second later, I was hit, and out of the game. 20 minutes later, the round ended, and I decided to scope out the enemy team's ranks to find the sniper. I found him, and what I saw wasn't very impressive. Just another airsofter, dressed in jeans and nikes, a small black vest, not even any sort of protective clothing, and the Swiss Arms spring airsoft rifle with the same scope I had. Obviously he wasn't just a skilled sniper to have done what he did, so I asked him if he could take me out to the field and show me what this thing could do. Might I mention that he agreed, as long as I would provide myself as a target. Reluctantly, I agreed. I looked at this rifle and thought it wasn't much just by looking at it, but when he told me its specs, I had to ask if he'd upgraded it. He hadn't. I stood out in a field about 200 feet from where he was positioned, and let him fire. The sneaky sniper got off two shots in the amount of time it would've taken me to get off 1 from a not ready position. I stood back another 25 feet or so. Once again, he shot me twice very quickly. I stood back ANOTHER 25 feet... he missed once, and hit me once. I took 6 shots total (if you count the one from the game), and I've got to say, it's a very mean gun.
I had the opportunity to shoot the gun once again the next day, since it was a two day war, and he let me shoot around a little bit and chronograph the gun.
Chrono specs (with his sniper grade .36g BB's):
1: 381
2: 377
3: 376
4: 380
5: 381
Chrono specs (with my .2g BB's)
1: 441
2: 440
3: 437
4: 438
5: 440
So obviously, you can get pretty consistent FPS ratings from this gun. It is recommended, however, that you go to at LEAST .28's or .30's to get the best accuracy without suffering much FPS loss.
When we ranged tested, we set up 5 different 4x4 inch auto-standing targets at different ranges and tested how long it took us to knock down all three targets without missing, twice
1st target - 100 feet
Tries taken: 2
Shots missed: 0
2nd target - 150 feet
Tries taken: 2
Shots missed: 0
3rd target - 200 feet
Tries taken: 3
Shots missed: 1
4th target - 225 feet
Tries taken: 4
Shots missed: 3
5th target - 250 feet
Tries taken: 4
Shots missed: 3
So obviously, you can get very nice shot groupings, going out to the edge of the gun's effective range (and beyond if you're a skilled sniper). Note: all 3 shots had to be taken within a 10 second time frame.
We did the same test along side my UTG Gen 5 M324 Spring airsoft sniper, and the specs were slightly different
1st target
Tries taken: 2
Shots missed: 0
2nd target:
Tries taken: 2
Shots missed: 0
3rd target:
Tries taken: 2
Shots missed: 0
4th target:
Tries taken: 4
Shots missed: 3
5th target:
Tries taken: 5
Shots missed: 4
Note: The same scope, Bi-Pod, BB type (.23), and shooter were used for these tests
So as you can see, this gun has the potential to rival the performance of the UTG M324 in performance. Now let's take a look at its cosmetics:
This gun is the same length as the M324, and is slightly lighter than it (I see heavier guns as better, but that's just me). The magazine slides right into the holder and the bolt slides smooth as glass. It's truly a dream to fire this weapon, and requires no effort at all. The gun weighs slightly more at the front end of the gun, so you can keep your lock on target in case you miss while you cock the gun. The gun also has a nice kick, even though it is a springer. Even though it's just 3 rounds, it has a larger magazine capacity than the M324 as well. However, it only comes with one mag so that's a drag... I wish I could find extra ones on here but I cannot. The wood finish on this gun is closest to the Olive Drab finish on the M324, and while it does look nice, it's usually a better idea to have multiple finishes to choose from, which this gun does not. However, the finish is good for woodland battles. As I held the SA1, I couldn't feel a single part on this gun wobble or wiggle in any way, shape, or form. Even fully extended, I had to provide quite a bit of upwards and downwards force to get it to move around even the tiniest bit. The 5.5 inch weaver mounts on the top are extremely sturdy, and easy to use as well. You don't even need to buy medium or high profile scope rings for large objective lenses, as you would need to do for the M324. But the fact that there is no bottom rails for flashlights, lasers, or bi-pods hurts the gun as well.
Overall, the cosmetics and appearance on this gun are top notch... so long as this is the style you're looking for. It's also very sturdy, and very reliable. Now, as for price:
Pricing on the SA1 is equal to that of a black finish M324 (other finishes cost slightly more), but in the end, after you've factored in shipping, and other items you'll need to buy for each gun, the total for the SA1 comes out to be slightly more than M324.
I am an avowed supporter of my beautiful M324, but I've got to swallow my pride, and say this:
The Swiss Arms SA1 Airsoft Sniper Rifle is BETTER. I said it, BETTER than the famous M324 Airsoft Sniper Rifle in nearly every aspect you can think of. Sure, personal preference may come into play and make you tilt more on buying an M324, but if you want overall better performance, get this gun. Trust me, you won't regret it. And for the price, there's really no other gun to compare.
Overall, I give the Swiss Arms SA1 Airsoft Sniper Rifle...
5/5 STARS!
THAT'S XXXXX STARS!
BUY THIS GUN.

- for the price ok, but get the magnum 5 instead, November 19, 2009
My friend lent me this gun for a couple weeks.
I'll just go on to the pros and cons
pros
-the fps is not bad
-the mag is pretty tough (the swiss arms black eagle m6 sniper mag broke after i dropped it once) this one i dropped twice and it is still fine
-the bolt is easy to run too, so if you're cornered in a war you're not completely helpless
-has a built in rail
- it does work with .2 bbs
-light weight
cons
-if there is any wind at all, since the gun is not quite powerful enough to use over .25 with any good distance, the bb sails
-this gun is not amazingly accurate it always curves to one side
- has no iron sights
-since there are no iron sights you need to use a scope, but since the gun is not consistent enough to use a scope practically you're stuck with a rail mount as your sights
-has no way to mount a bi-pod, but since this gun is light you don't really need one
-this gun does not have a lot of metal parts
well one thing that i personally do not like about it but isn't really a con is that it is very thin
MY OVER ALL JUDGEMENT of this gun is buy a utg magnum 5. it's the same price but is a much better performing gun(i think it's cooler looking too, but that's more of an opinion)
If you want a really great sniper, get the utg magnum 5, or if you don't mind spending an extra 60 bucks, a utg shadow ops mk96 .
Thanks for reading.

- WOW, December 13, 2009
This gun is probably one of the best rifles shorty's sells in my opinion. I can't get over the wooden stock look even though it's plastic. With no orange tip and a scope on it, all of my friends that I hang out with will see it and ask me if it's a 25-06 or a 30-06. Performance-wise it's okay but not quite as good as the UTG M324. I will admit it seems a bit more accurate than the M324 at longer ranges. This could be because the M324 has a 6.14mm inner barrel though, which is very large for a sniper rifle. If that's an issue just get an EdGi TBB. The FPS is more in the 420-430 range with a .2g which is a bit less than the M324. The hop up is good. Umm, I don't know what else to say. Solid gun. If you're trying to pick between this and the M324, it's just one simple question...Do you want a bit better looks or a bit better performance. Your decision. Also FingerBag...I don't care what scope or BB's you were using, no matter how good of aim you are, or how low the wind was. There is no way you were getting under an inch groupings @ 150ft and 3 inch groupings @ 200ft. No unmodified $100 airsoft gun is going to do that. Especially not with .25g BB's. Anyways, thanks for listening and I hope this helps.

- Best Sniper -200$ Bucks!, January 10, 2010
Well, the reason I actually know anything about this gun is because I was de-jamming it for him. (lol completely unrelated to gun, it was just suckish bbs) So after I fixed it, I took off the scope and bi-pod of my Ak and I was amazed. I originally thought this was just another 1 of those low powered spring rifles from ..., and I was mistaken. THIS IS A TRUE SNIPER! This probably fits the needs of a sniper better than any l96 or "Super 9" out there.
- First of all, this thing is easier to cock then when i pull back the bolt on my AEG Ak47... lol.
-2nd, This is a very nice weight! Extremely easy to relocate because it is very light, but it also isn't too
light that it seems like a cheap piece of plastic.... (perfect weight out there)
-3rd, It's intimidatingly loud, so it's not like a little peep that's softer than a 5mph wind, yet i's not 1 of
those air launchers that wake up the neighbors when you dry fire it in the morning.
THIS GUN IS THE PERFECT MEDIUM OF LIKE EVERYTHING!
So now I have to give my basic facts-
-175 to 185 ft with a .25
-very nice hop-up (goes from .12s to .28)
-pain level from 1-10... 7
-accuracy from 1-10... 8, when hop-up and scope properly sighted
-easiest thing to cock, like seriously I have more difficulty cocking my 210 fps pistol
-very nice fps
-good mag cap
CONS
-well, the mag was defective and misfed, but that's ONLY the mag
-hard to put mag in-out
SO, pretty much the only problems was with the mag, so this gun is a 8.5/10
-woooooooohooooooooooopy
