- M16 Weaver scope mount rail. , March 24, 2005
This sight mount is excellent and does exactly what it is meant to do, make sure to keep moisture away and keep it lightly oiled to prevent rusting. A nice detail would be if the rail addresses were marked on each rail notch as they are on the military-issue Weaver mounts. The military ones have rail addresses marked on each notch with white paint, addresses are labelled with markings such as 'T-6". The address markings are so you can detach accessories and write down what notch they need to be put on to retain zero. I'm sure somebody could improvise these markings if they really wanted them. I've only ever seen it marked like that on the high-end mounts, however.

The all metal rail system is very well built it is also very light since it's aluminum.

- what can I say, January 29, 2006
Well, it has worked perfectly for every rifle I've used it on and you know, I have no idea how on earth this thing could be used incorrectly. You are some kind of genius if you can't seem to work this thing correctly.

- excelent rail (however), January 07, 2006
The rail itself is an extrordinary piece of hardware, however it is made for use on the metal rail of a real M-16/AR-15. This makes it a good mount, but it will tear up a plastic carry handle over time. I have a TM XM177 and the rail has split down the middle from the stress on the attachment bolt. SO, if you have an all metal AEG go for it, but If you have a springer with a plastic construction be advised. However this has to do more with the gun than the rail, so it gets a perfect score for bieng one of the best M-16 rails i've ever seen.

A very nice price for what you are getting. Not needed, mind you, but awesome for accessories like scopes.
