- awsome..., January 17, 2006
MY REVEIW
FPS - Hurts
Accuracy - Unbelievably accurate on full auto, shoots perfectly staight
Realism - Try taking off the orange tip and walking out in public
Magazines - Supprisingly good hi-cap mags (ps: be careful when you take out the mag if their is still any bb's inside, also, not all the bb's in the mag will come out when you shoot, their is a thing to push on for them to come out, but it is sort of hard to use, i suggest using something thin to push on)
Customability - very high
Ease at fixing it yourself - once you figure out where everything is, very good
How intimidating it is - very high, will make springers beg for mercy, able to stand up against high end AEGS and gassers
Quality - Very high, no cheap metal like the MP5, best fake wood ever, only thing better would be real wood
Value - Double what you pay
Individuality - Well, it is an AK-47 right?
Can it take on the TM AK-47?
YES IT CAN, but its not the guns performace so much as it is the person holding the guns performance. Two people of equal experience, 1 on 1, 1 with the UTG AK-47, the other with the TM AK-47, i would guess a tie, (if they both came with their standard magazines though, UTG would definently win).
BUY IT
(PS: UTG should make a drum magazine for this gun of good quality, i want mine to be like an RPK, but i can only find 1 non-electric that sucks, and 2 electrics that cost more then the gun itself lol)

- Good Mid Level AEG, January 05, 2006
I received my War Hawk today and I was excited to say the least. I have purchased the MP5, M324, SOS M87, and now the 47LE. For the price UTG makes great Mid Level AEG's that won't break the bank.
I must say the "furniture" of this looks as good as Shorty's says, but I was a little let down with the metal finish. I found rust and paint bubbles on the barrel behind the front sight assembley and on a few of the screws. While this does not affect the performance, it does leave one with an uneasy feeling of "what else was overlooked in production".
After charging the battery, I put a fully loaded magazine into the well, and put a few rounds through on semi. I found that you need to hold the trigger down through the shot in order to ensure you get full power out of the piston.
Full auto worked great with no misfeeds. I was happy with the cycle of fire.
The hop up seems to need break in, and after a couple hundred rounds started to work fine.
Overall this feels solid in your hands and the balance is pretty good, though I could see youngsters having a time trying to weild this in games.
I like this piece and will correct the finish so it looks as nice as it shoots.
I gave this a "4" due to finish problems out of the box, but I would recommend this as a good Mid Level AEG.

- Great Gun, January 05, 2006
I bought this gun for my little brother as his first airsoft gun. I had to try it out when it arrived at our house. I have to say, I am very impressed with its performance. It is very accurate, has great range and is very powerful. The gun looks awesome too. It has better wood finish than the TM AK and is overall very well constructed. I really like this gun and my brother does too. You will not be disapointed.

- DONOVANS TAKE, January 07, 2006
YES was the word that was constantly running through my mind on the way home from school. When I got home, my bueatiful AK was there. Opening it out of the box, for some reason, the AK was wet and so were the clips and slings. Also, on the right side of the stock, were these persistantly annoying little white specs. This was probably just something wrong with the handling. Moving on, the gun came with exactly what shorty said, my friends.... The gun, 2 600 clips, sling, and charger. I filled my clips with some KSC's and went outside to shoot. The clips only fire 1 shot, or at least mine do. That's not really a problem with me, because yall know, when the going gets rough, the bb's start a SPARYIN baby! I just wind the wheel while firing on full auto. The gun is pretty accurate, but semi doesn't work very well. Also, the tri rail mount can be removed, but it leaves this wierd rectangular thing on the top of your gun. All in all, the gun is an excellent buy, my friends. The wood on the gun looks incredirealistic (hehe made up my own word!!!) And it has a lot of metal on it. You might just want to buy different kinds of clips though.

- Whats with UTG?, November 13, 2005
I have a UTG M87SA shotgun and a UTG Navy Seal MP5 AEG and they are both excellent guns. They are both very solid feeling and they both work perfect. This gun looks to be just as good. Like all UTG guns this thing is gonna come with a lot of accessories and its gonna be cheap. So if you have the money buy this gun.

- This gun..., November 19, 2005
The Chinese with UTG did it again with this gun. This is the gun for anyone who likes AK's. Buy this bad boy to hone up your skills then i suggest buying a Tokyo Marui. Don't get me wrong on this,ICS, Olypic Arms and Classic Army are nice, but they come pre-upgraded. Now, that might be good for you people who dont wanna spend money on an upgrade, but i suggest going for the stock version because if you get the gun pre-upgraded that wears down the gun. Which in turn takes down the amount of time you get to spend with the gun.
But if your just getting into AEG's and like Ak's and dont wanna spend much money get this gun.

- I Hope It Performs As Well As It Looks., November 12, 2005
This Looks Great. You may have seen that it only shoots 250 fps with .2 but they found that reading off of the prototype. They said UTG is working to improve the piston and air nozzle to increase the guns power. I Can almost bet that by the time the final version is made of this UTG AK-47, it will be around the 265-270 fps range, much like the UTG MP5 is out of the box.
PS: Sorry that i rated this without actually using this gun.

- SO COOL!!!!, November 05, 2005
I really want this gun. It looks so cool. The fps isnt that great but the range is awesome. It looks like UTG is gonna up with airsoft retailers which have been doing this for years and UTG has done it in about 8 or 10 months!! This company is really progressing in work. I hope this gun is as good at is says!! I am gonna order this the 1st day it comes out!
