 - Best shotty on the market, June 14, 2005 I work at a Dicks Sporting Goods, and we are soon going to be selling this shotgun. We have one on display, and I have used it. The feel is amazingly solid. I don't know how they could be selling it for $40, because I think that at Dick's it cost $80. I have not been able to do much shooting, but from what I have done, I have found that it has great accuracy, and the cocking mechanism is smooth and works perfectly. Great gun. Great price. Buy it.

 - its incredible, July 14, 2005 first impression: the body is mostly plastic, and is finished with a black nonglass paint. the visible metal parts are te inner barrel, the part of the pump that goes into the gun, and the pump guide. The gun has good weight for its size, and if u try to hold it with one hand on the pistol grip its hard to keep it stable, but when u put your other hand on the pump the feel is perfect. there are no iron sights on the gun, which is one of the only bad things about it. there are 3 Rails to mount things on, one long one on the top and 2 shorter ones on eather side. the magazines load infront of the triger guard like an M4, which i like because its very easy to load (the mags are a little less than half as long as a standard m4 mag. there is a safty button behind the trigger. also, the inner barrel is pretty tight.
performance- i loaded my 4 mags (2 come with the gun, plus i got a spare 2 pack) with KSC .2 g BBs, the mags each hold around 20 BBs. I attatched my spec ops reflex sight (highly recomended, you can get one here at shorty for only $10, look under acceseries its near the top) and took aim at a 1 squar foot target. i easily hit twards the center every time from about 60 feet away. i was impressed, so i got a few pop cans. from a few feet away, the bbs go thruogh the front of the can but don't come out the back. from 60-70 feet i can hit the can half the time, and around a 100 feet my friend hit me in the back almost every time. i havent tested it much further than that, but its pretty darn accurate inside 100 feet, and you still have a pretty good chance from 100 feet of hitting your target. so this gun is very accurate. thats why i highly recomend some kind of sight because this is more than a CQB weapon in springer wars. the gun can break skin if it hist bare skin from about 10 feet. the pump action is very smooth and realy fun, its just way better to pump a gun than pull a bolt of a slide. aside from the very acurate single shot, you can pump multiple bbs into the barrel and fire a spread. with 2 or 3 bbs its still moderatly accurate, but with every additional BB accuracy and range decrease, but its still cool to shoot a 3 or 4 shot spread in close range situations. another nice feature is the rapid fire. if you hold down the trigger and pump as fast as you can, at the end of each pump action you fire a shot.
in conclusion the UTG shotguns are very sturdy, accurate, powerful, and versitile for there price and size. they are great for any spring war and would make a nice side arm in AEG wars. my friend is getting a UHC MP5 friday and ill compare the 2 for you.
to wrap it up:
Pros-
Sturdy
good weight and feel
easy to load and use magazines
Accurate!
powerful!
good medium size
solid pump action gives an edge in spring wars (fast)
can shoot multiple shots
rapid fire
ajustable hop up
Cons:
mags only hold 20 rounds
no iron sights
somtimes the mags wont load the last 2 bbs, but if u tilt it to the side when u pump its no problem (this is because they are like m4 mags, which don't always load the last few either)
so finaly, this is the best spring gun ive used, GET IT its a very good springer

 - Best springer on Shorty by far!!! (having trouble with the last two shots? read here!), July 26, 2005 The UTG is the best spring gun on Shorty, it even beats out the stock Super 9! This gun was very well thought out, except for a few minor things, and is now by far my favorite gun.
Pros:
1. This shotgun surpasses the stock Super 9 Pro sold on Shorty in power and range, at almost 1/3 the price!
2. It's a shotgun so it has one of the fastest Rate Of Fire(ROF) of any springer.
3. The use of compact magazines that hold twenty rounds means that extra mags are easy to carry and change on the go.
4. It come with two mags and another six bucks gets you two more. Four mags with a total of 80 shots!
5. Heavy construction(awsome metal lower tube!) makes it a beast and for very steady aim.
6. Hold down the trigger and shoot as fast as you can pump!
7. Rails make it great to customize and a red dot sight makes it a great sniper!
8. Realistic cocking noise will make evil-doers piss their pants!
9. More compact than any expensive, albeit awkward, sniper rifle.
10. Awsome price tag.
11. Adjustable hop-up is fast and easy.
Cons:
1. Lack of any fixed sights causes need for a red dot sight, which isn't great in bright conditions.
2. The last two shots of each magazine need to be cocked upside down (which can be a good thing, when enemies think you're out, you still got two shots!).
3. Overly hard trigger pull makes it feel like you might break the trigger.
4. It's easy to put more than one bb into the chamber by mistake which eventualy could cause the gun to lose its remarkable accuracy.
5. It's not free.
6. Friends and foes alike will try and steal it!
Conclusion: Buy it, no discussion.

 - Hard to believe the this sells for the same price as the Hardball, February 14, 2006 MY REVIEW
PROS:
-this really is built like a tank, i dont think i could break it is i tried
-very powerful, especially for its size
-appears accurate (more on that later)
-lots of places to mount scopes/red dot sights/flashlights/etc
-heavy
-overall good quality (few very small paint-bubbles around pump, no big deal)
-very versitile (SA at least)
-very easy to pump
-agustable hop-up
-low price mags
-did i mention this thing is incredably durable?
CONS:
-like with all UTG guns i have noticed the mags are low quality (although cheap priced) and have some problems (the mags for this shotgun doesnt fire the last 2 bb's)
-no iron sights
-while easy to pump, the trigger is very hard to pull down on compared to most guns, will take a while to get used too
About the accuracy, it is hard to determine because there are no iron sights, at 1st it appeared accurate from far away with both reflex sight and no sight, but then thanks to the snow, i shot closer with both no reflex sight and reflex sight and found that it appeared to shoot slightly lower then where you aimed it, this may be that because with out a reflex sight (which i highly suggest buying) it is more point and shoot, and as for the reflex sight it may just need to be adjusted (or it could just be my gun).
BUY IT (i am even thinking of buying another one)
(P.S.- both the SA and the SOS have different pistol grips)

 - OBEY ME AND BUY THIS GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, July 09, 2005 If you don't buy this gun you are a moran!!!!!!
With this gun I destroyed every one with air soft guns in the area!
I took over 18 bases and,5 back yards and every part on the gun is sturdy. The gun comes with 2 magazines, and a speed loader. .12's work the best for this gun. The cocking is great, and it takes 30 seconds for me to reload. If YOU LOOK AT THE MANUAL! you'll see that if you hold down the trigger and keep cocking you can have an automatic shot gun. I tried this gun out on my friends and they said that they would be my slaves for three months if I ordered them this gun.
So if you like shotguns with LOT'S of fire power then buy this gun. SHORTY'S IS THE BEST FOR ALL YOUR AIRSOFT NEEDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 - H*CK YEA!!!!!!!, March 05, 2006 This gun freaking rocks. For under 50 bucks, this is one of the best guns you coudl possibly buy. It shoots really freaking hard and has the weight to back it up. It feels very durable and cocks very easily. This gun is freaking awesome for the price. Most of it is plastic, but don't let that get you down, this gun will not break...

 - Great gun!, July 14, 2005 This gun is absolutly incredible. I ordered one up as soon as I had cash when they were released. I haven't run into a single major problem yet aside from a small one: the last two BB's in each clip don't want to load up into the gun when u pump it normally, the gun has to be turned over and cocked and then turned back over. basically cocked upside down in order for the BB to drop in. Not a big deal though. GREAT GUN!

 - Best gun possibly made!!!!!!!, July 15, 2005 This gun is very accurate I can seriously shoot a tree from 30 yards away no problem. You can also shoot really fast by holding down the trigger and just pumping it. You can go trigger happy with this gun. The only suggestion I would make with this gun is to get a scope for this, but other than that it is a real pleasure having it.The velocity is descent(318 feet with .12 gram bb's).The gun is quite heavy which gives it a good feel to it. The cocking has such little effort to it. If you want to leave the battlefield with a victorious game, this is it.The range in how far the bb's travel is superb(85 feet and beyond. Don't wait to get this gun while the sale is still here. You'll really be glad you chose the UTG M87SA airsoft gun. P.S:BUY IT!!!

 - UTG M87SA, June 19, 2005 I went to the walk-in store the other day, and i was amazed how heavy this thing is. It is mostly metal, and has a very solid feel to it. The guy there said the shipment is coming in soon, and this preticular gun is goning to be better then the hardball---by far. He also siad that it shoots very accuratley, and hard.
i am getting one the day it comes out
