 - A thorough review, September 02, 2008 I'm gonna give an honest, no BS assessment of this gun straight out of the box (tape was lifted about an hour ago, went shooting and chronographing)
I'm not gonna beg for a rating this is my 2 cents.
First of all, it feels quite heavy, not as heavy as some other $600 dollar airsoft guns, but it does have some weight, making it quite realistic, and well balanced. At 7.27 LBS on my scale, it is heavy enough for the realism factor, yet light enough to carry without over encumbering yourself.
I chronographed the first shots out of the box, and got 365-381.5 FPS, which is a little lower, but around the same range as it is listed. Definitely powerful enough to hurt the losers who wear denim to the games to avoid pain.
Accuracy: At 150 feet it seemed that the air resistance was creating some spin, but being able to hit a milk jug from 150 feet 89/100 shots was impressive. At 200 feet I adjusted the hop up just a little, and most of the shots would hit a human sized 6-3 foot piece of junk wood.
Trademark logos: Seemed realistic enough for me, I'm not into the super high detail, but it certainly gives it a movie-prop feel.
The rate of fire is nice enough so that it sounds better than the distinctive (nyet nyet nyet) of a 750-800 RPM gun like the AK47, but more of a (thwipthwipthwip).
As for the rails, I threw on a $30 swat light, a foregrip, and a red/green dot scope, which makes it perfect for indoor or outdoor use.
Overall review:
Detail - 5/5
Realism - 4/5 (weight was a little light for me)
Accuracy - 4.5/5
Range - 5/5
Power - 5/5 (just right for skirmishes, yet not too powerful)
Adjustability/Compatibility - 5/5
Upgradability - 4/5 (Can't use any high end upgrades, just TM brand upgrades)
Modability - 6/5 (I can't get over how many functions the rails play.)
Overall - 5/5

 - Get this gun., November 20, 2008 My friend Tony bought this gun and he hasn't used anything else since. He upgraded the battery, motor and put a mock silencer on it and it is bad ass. He gives one of my other friends who has a mp5 a run for his rounds per minute.
Pro's:
Good accuracy
High rpm's
On the cheap end for a good gun
Very realistic weight
Hurts like hell
Con's:
Hop-up is a little weird, but you'll eventually get the hang of adjusting it.
Battery is OK, but a higher maH one will give you more rounds per minute.
With his upgrades, Tony has this gun at about:
1000 rpm's.
Accurate up to about 150-160 feet
About 20-30 more feet per second
A great gun to buy for a great price.
Peace out

 - I really wish that there was an option to put 15 stars, November 16, 2008 OK,to start this review. THIS GUN IS AMAZING.
I bought this for myself in April, the gun is now 7 months old, and shooting like new.I keep this gun well maintained though, it's not going to take care of itself.
First of all. The battery is amazing. 8.4V 1500 MAH. holds a charge all day. The finish is also really nice, and once you highlight all the lettering of the gun in white, it looks amazing. Stock, this gun weighs 7 pounds, I put a UTG scope/red/green dot sight on it, handle with a spring loaded Bi-Pod and a flashlight on it. All the additions are metal. It now weighs a whopping 11 pounds.
This is also a very nice gun because it has sooo many stock positions. If you play cqb/indoors you might have to get a lower spring though, because out of the box this is sniper/field gun ready.
Pros-
has lasted me 7 months
great internals
great battery
good rof
amazing fps
Cons-
The front ris got so wobbly it actually fell off whenever I would go prone with my bi-pod, easy fix though, I put a small ris rail cover over the two top rails, keep in mind this happens with most M4's

 - Pretty good, December 10, 2008 As this being my first AEG i was satisfied with it. When i first picked it up, i noticed that there was a little barrel wobble which is unusual for M4s. It's no big deal but don't play around with the wobble. The weight is about 14 to 18 pounds. the FPS is around 350 to 390 with .2g but i haven't used any other BB type for it yet. When you get it out of the box the battery holder is on the bottom which i wasn't satisfied about (which the battery in it). Also i found that the screw in it was rusty and the battery holder seemed like it was used. No big deal for me but for other people a rusty screw might that be unpleasant for them (but I'm not so sure that everyone gets a rusty screw). i moved it to the side of the gun right away. WARNING!!! WHEN TRYING TO TAKE OFF THE HEAT RAIL COVERS ON THE SIDE OF IT DO NOT FORCE IT OFF!!! All you need to do is press down on the little button that is on it hard and simply slide it off. NOTE:When trying to take the rail cover off it may be a little challenging.
I will suggest buying an extra mag for this 'cause it eats up ammo pretty quickly if you are an on auto all the time person or you do a rapid semi-auto like i do. Also with the charging handle which is pretty cool and works pretty good, do not play around with it all the time 'cause this may damage the gun. Getting out the mag is pretty easy but when getting it in and it might not stay and that reason is because sometimes BBs do get stuck in between the side of the mag holder and the little hole that BBs enter in.
ALL IN ALL! If you are a first time AEG buyer, this is your gun. I'm higher than a novice but I'm not a veteran yet but all i have to say is that if you are a veteran player or a hardcore player this isn't your gun. This AEG is more for the beginner AEG people.
BUY IT, YOU'LL BE SATISFIED!!!

 - Great gun for the money, December 10, 2008 This gun is awesome. I bought mine a few months ago on a different site and i absolutely love it. The Echo1 M4 is the most accurate assault rifle I've ever shot. This gun shoots fast, hard and accurate. The only two downsides are that the battery boxes wires and the plastic piece under the trigger. When you put your battery in, the wires stick out when it gets connected. That's not that big of a deal though. The plastic piece under the trigger rips your middle finger to shreds because it's a little sharp. You can either file it down or be like me who wears gloves on the battlefield. I highly recommend this gun for anyone who is looking for a cheaper assault rifle. Buy this gun!

 - Worth Every Penny, February 24, 2009 This gun feels so solid and real, it's unbelievable. For $175, you cannot get a better gun.
Pros:
Weight, nice and balanced
Battery Box is a nice feature as it's an easy way to charge your battery without messing up the wires
Great FPS and RPM to the motor
Weaver Rails are great, plenty of room to mount things
Iron Sights are lined up well
Cons:
The mag it comes with is small for high caps, but it gets the job done
Buy more mags
Hope this helped
