Can't be beat for the price!, July 21, 2011
Hello all, I just received the TF11 from Shorty's yesterday as a secondary for my sniper rifle (Echo 1 ASR). Here's what I found:
For being mostly plastic, the gun is decently solid. The realism is a plus. The power is just about perfect for a close quarters weapon, and I was honestly surprised at the kick this gun produces. It's a lot of fun to shoot!
My biggest complaint is loading the mags. If you plan on using this gun out in the field as a primary, get a spare mag. Loading the magazine under while under fire would be nigh impossible. And on full auto, 50 rounds go REALLY QUICK. As for gas consumption though, I got 3 full mags out of a single co2 cartridge, so that is also a plus.
If you're looking for a sidearm or CQB weapon, I highly recommend this gun. It'll sling a lotta bb's downrange in a very short period of time. Past 100 feet though, the bb's (using .20s) started dropping rather quickly. Accuracy on full-auto is also questionable at best with any sort of range.
Pros:
Lightweight
Solid feel (for being mostly plastic)
Power and kick
PRICE!
Cons:
Mostly plastic
Loading the magazine
Accuracy (can't really count this seeing as its a CQB gun)
Spare mags are $35!
This is a great gun, especially for $80. I highly recommend it. Thanks for reading! I hope you found this review helpful!
