 - first gun i bought, excellent, April 04, 2005 the first aisroft gun i bought, and it is excellent. i only found one flaw, and it is minor, and non performance changing. the magazine ia hard to load when you get about 15 rounds in it, they become pretty hard to load, i recommend only loading about 18 to 20 rounds because i find it near impossible to load the last few. buy extra mags, you will not have the time to load in combat.
other than that, the best spring pistol i know of. great!

 - UHC M9, March 24, 2005 This was my first airsoft gun, I got it 2 years ago and it still works about as well as the day I got it, aside from normal wear over time. The trigger is very light and tight, making accurate shooting easy with .2g and even .25g BB's at ranges of 30 feet and less. .12g BB's are not accurate enough in this gun in my opinion. The markings are not authentic, but they are convincing and well-done. This is a good choice if you want to play as modern US Military, especially if you were role-playing as Military Police. Most Special Forces units prefer other pistols like the M1911A1, like the Delta operators in Black Hawk Down. The magazines are excellent and rather simple and easy to load, quite durable as well. Some parts of the slide are a little soft, so be careful not to crack the slide when cocking the pistol. You could possibly break the slide if you rack the slide too hard. Be careful if you use a cleaning rod to clean this pistol, you can easily push the rubber hop-up out of the chamber if you insert the rod too far and then you will have a broken pistol. It's not easily repaired so if you do it, you will probably have to buy a new one.

 - A Good Gun for 20 bucks, June 06, 2005 Appearance
Since this is my first airsoft gun, I was surprised at the realism of airsoft in general to real weapons. The UHC M9 is very realistic in design, although the trade–marks are slightly off. The texture of the grips are nice, as the gun doesn’t slip even with sweaty palms. The slide is a slightly different color from the body of the gun, diminishing the realism though (it is also the only external part on the gun). The gun appears to be plasticky, but then again, it is a sub-25 dollar pistol. For the price, the appearance definitely earns a 7/10.
Function
The UHC M9 functions very well, especially for a 20 dollar pistol. With .2 gram bbs, I can hit a man-sized target at 90 feet with a couple shots (keep in mind I’ve only played indoors). The pre-aligned iron sights are wonderful, and easy to use in a well lighted area. While they don’t work very well in the dark, it is just a simple matter of painting little white dots on the iron sights so that they are more visible. The safety works nicely. When pushed on and off, it clicks into place. The working hammer is very useful. When the gun is loaded, the hammer stays cocked, letting you know that your pistol is ready to fire. The pistol clips hold over 20 rounds, so a spare clip really isn’t optional. My friend who also has one proposes that you top off your clip when under fire, first cocking the pistol (it fires with no magazine in it), then dropping the clip and adding a few bbs. The downside to the mags is that you must thumb in each round. However, there are never any problems of the rounds shooting out by accidentally pressing a button. From other reviews I’ve read online (since I have nothing to compare the M9 too), the pull is of medium length and weight. Overall function: 9/10
Durability
The M9 has always performed well for me. However, they are fragile. Out of the four my friends have bought, two are now broken. One was dropped, and the slide cracked, and mine was broke when my gun slide didn't come all the way forward after I cocked the pistol in the middle of a fire-fight, so when I fired it, it broke. The ones that still work work beautifully, making perfect side-arms for the AEGs and spring rifles that we have. For when it works (for the price), I give it a 10/10, but since they’re fragile, the score drops down to 8/10.
Final Thoughts
I’d recommend the M9 to anyone who wants to play airsoft but is on a budget. For 20 dollars, you get a moderately realistic weapon that functions well, being very accurate and reliable. Any veterans who want a good side-arm for their AEG or sniper rifle and doesn’t want to break the bank, or any new players who are just getting into the game, this is a very good choice if you’re careful.
Pros
Reliable when it works
Accurate
Cons
Seems to be fragile on solid floors
A slightly plasticky look
Trade-marks slightly off
Overall score: 8/10
(Thanks to William Hogben who reminded me of all the little things I forgot)

 - Best Pistol You Can Buy, April 22, 2005 I bought my M9 a few years ago and stil works the same it did the first day i bought it. This is the best gun you can buy for $30. I have never had any problems with my gun. Best gun one of the best pistols I have bought. This is an extremely accurate and durable gun. You will rule spring pistol wars with your freinds. A few things that I would recomend for this gun are and extra clip and gun lube. That stuff is awsome. Use it on any gun and it will increse proformance a ton.
Hope This Helped,
Airsoft Pro

 - Good gun for price, March 05, 2006 This is the first gun I ever purchased. My first impressions were good. It felt good, shot hard, easily cocked, etc. It's very accurate if you lube it up. Excellent gun for cqb. Doesnt shoot to far. I is very stable tho, and the cocking is very smooth(until you use it for awhile). Overall, its a good sidearm, or gun for starters...

 - UHC M9 SERVICE PISTOL, September 01, 2006 UHC seems to have the magic recipe for success, I recently purchased the M9 on ShortyUSA, when it arrived, I was impressed by the weight and realistic features, however i was a tad dissapointed with the quality of plastic. When I fired it in my backyard, the hop-up was just crazy, however I managed to hit a target 70 feet away (on the 3rd try) with a .12 gram BB.
After firing a few magazines, WHICH ONLY HOLDS 15 ROUNDS, I felt able to report full confidence in the gun, but, I have a few comments about the M9.
-Do not load more than 15 rounds into the magazine, it could possibly break the gun.
-Use .2 gram BBs for long range shooting, .12 gram BBs tend to curve after 50 some feet.
-The gun is plastic, use common sense and be gentle with the gun.
-This gun is made for close quarter combat, don't think you have some sort of "Mini-Sniper"
In summation, UHC has made a fine product that is worth the twenty dollars.

 - UHC M9, April 05, 2005 This is my primary backup weapon for the DPMS A-15 Evolution. It works well with .12g BB's. It's fairly powerful. The one nuisance is the squeaky firing mechanism (the long thing that moves on right side when trigger is pulled). This is easily fixed, just get some good AirGun oil and oil underneath it. It will no longer squeak. This gun is also very reliable. I have had the HFC Berettas and they suck. Their barrels all break off after a few days. At first I thought the UHC would be the same, but I was wrong. It has a sturdier barrel than most guns with the barrel covered (like the 1911) ! I was also suprised at the weight it has, my dad who was in the military says the real M9 weighs the same as the UHC version. I highly reccomend this gun to newbies and the average airsofter.

 - The best, March 28, 2006 This was the first gun that I bought and is undoubtedly the best spring pistol that you can buy. Side by side to a real baretta this is identical and if you were to pick the two up you wouldn't know which one was which because the weight is the same. The only way to tell this gun apart from the real one is the orange tip which comes off after 1000 shots but is easily glued back on. This gun lasted me about a year, and when it broke I quickly ordered another one.

 - i like this one, February 27, 2006 this pistol is nice and feels very realistic because of the weight. It is pretty powerful and has OK accuracy. It says to use .12 BBs but I used .2g bbs and it works fine.. It slows the FPS down a bit, but it makes it a lot more accurate and less curvey. But this gun is a good sidearm for snipers, AEG users, or anything else. I recommend it.
