In todays market where 1911s seem to grow on trees, a new model is usually nothing one would get very excited about. However, after an afternoon of ripping up targets with the new Elite Force 1911A1 I am going to have to say that this full metal forty-five definitely has my attention.
This 1911 comes from Umarex USA under their Elite Force brand and it is built by KWC on their new 1911 design. While it is similar to the KWC model released last year under a different brand, and is compatible with those magazines, Umarex has stepped in and had a few modifications done to make this pistol unique. These include a redesigned, easier to load magazine with which you can now simply pull the follower down and pour the BBs in instead of loading them one at a time. Since it is constructed from metal this pistol has a nice heft, realistic balance and an extremely menacing sound when you rack it. The pistol has been finished in a matte black paint which wears in nicely during use to give it an awesome weathered appearance. Umarex has also had their new pistol fitted with a metal 14mm CCW threaded muzzle so you can attach an amplifier, mock suppressor or even a tracer unit.
However, it is not until you start sending rounds downrange does this pistol truly start to strut its stuff. With Elite Force .28g BBs this pistol is an absolute tack driver capable of impressive long range accuracy and power. On the chrono it clocked in at a solid 370 fps at the muzzle yet I was consistently getting an average of 90 shots per CO2 cartridge which is outstanding for a full fledged gas blow back. It has been fitted with an aggressive hop-up system which allows it to perform exceptionally well at long range although this does make heavyweight BBs a requirement. A .25g is usable for short range CQB but beyond 50 feet I strongly suggest using a .28g to maintain a level trajectory.
Overall this pistol really surprised me and definitely exceeded my expectations. It looks great, functions smoothly, kicks like mule and hits its target like a ton of bricks. Everything that anyone would want out of a forty-five.
Shown with but not included: Mad Bull Gemtech Blackside 14mm CCW Threaded Mock Suppressor.

This 1911 is the best Airsoft replica I have seen during my years of Airsofting, as it has power, range and durability. The blow back feature gives this gun an awesome kick, and makes it a fun gun to shoot.
I recommend the usage of .28g bbs at 30 feet or more as this makes the gun more accurate at long range, and it lowers the fps to ca. 340 fps(with .20g bbs the fps gets very high and nearly exceeds the fps limit for outdoor skirmishes). As the magazine capacity is 15 rounds, I recommend you buy some extra mags to give you some extra firepower if you end up in a hot spot during a skirmish. My overall rating of this gun: 9/10
PROS: CONS:
range magazine capacity
kick a bit pricy, but worth it!
durability
high velocity( 340 w/.28g)
weight

If you need a sidearm with range this is the way to go,it shoots an easy 150. I've gotten it to 180 before with .2 gram bb's. The only down fall of the gun is the magazine capacity other that that it's a great gun

Ive recently purchased this pistol at the walk-in store. I bought it with the intention of using it the following day, which of course i did. After testing the gun before bring it to a match i determined two things. One: this gun is insane and Two: I'd hate to be the one on the other side of the gun.
A short war story? I was with my squad holding a line to prevent the enemy from penetrating the area. After lots of suppressing fire from the enemy team one of their members was able to slip passed the line. I was the only one who saw him and i quickly ran after him. I dropped my Echo 1 MTC2 and pulled out this pistol and quickly cut him off at a further position. The guy didn't know what hit him but he called hit as soon as i unleashed 5 rounds from this pistol into his back.
Overall This is a definite buy.
Pros:
Metal
Threaded barrel (fits an amplifier)
Good barrel assembly as well as a strong slide
Safe(you must rack the slide when you load a new mag.)
Crazy blowback
Seems gas efficient for a co2 pistol
Great range and FPS
Cons:
Mag cap (15 or so rounds.)
Price for spare mags ($32
Grips may be a bit cheap for some since its full metal and they are plastic.
Mags are a bit tough to load until you get the hang of it.
