- Best Backyard Airsoft Pistol
I own this, the Model Elite, and the UTG MK23, and as far as spring pistols go, this is about as good as it gets. It is powerful, accurate, uses .20 BBs. and is reliable. The range of this pistol is one of the best I've seen. The gold cup is nearly the same as the model elite, but with a slightly harder pull and a bit better accuracy. The plastic body is amazingly strong, being able to survive two falls on to cement, with nothing but scratches. The gun disassembles like the real 1911, by pushing the slide release pin out (I use a BB to get it started), and pulling the slide off foreword. While this voids the warranty, and should not be done often, is a quite easy way to clear jams. I am not afraid at all that this gun will break. The internals are simple and well reinforced, which allows some of the smoothest operation and best shooting that a spring pistol can offer. The magazines are the same KWC 1911 mags that have been in use since the first KWC pistols, and have all of the flaws and benefits that have always been present. The gun is incredibly reliable, having only jammed on me twice. My only complaints are:
1. The magazines are a bit temperamental, often emptying themselves in my pockets and are low capacity, but small size makes it easy to carry many)
2. The slide is smooth until the last centimeter of its pull, when it becomes a bit harder.
Neither of these are reasons not to get this handgun. It is fairly similar to any other KWC pistol in this price range, so if you like the looks and want an amazing backyard airsoft gun, this is your gun
