The SD87B is just an overall fun shotgun, plain and simple. It looks cool, it shoots great and best of all it is the most affordable shotgun we carry!

To be honest we had our doubts about this shotgun when we first heard about it but after putting a few hundred rounds downrange this snarling little bugger had earned our respect. For only the price of a pistol this spring powered pump action shotgun has a lot to offer. It is tricked out with a RIS in front of the pump action with three weaver mounting decks for attaching the optional flashlight or laser sight. The pump action is wider than the one found on a traditional M87 making it more comfortable to grip and it is designed so that it actually travels back overtop of the receiver when you rack it. Directly above that you’ll find an optic mount which is connected securely to the shotguns frame making it a very solid mounting platform. The mount fits flush against the pump action so it all flows together into one sinister looking forend. Overall the design of the shotgun is very comfortable and highly maneuverable making it ideal for close quarters.

The SD87B is a single shot shotgun (1 BB per shot) and uses shell type magazines similar to the UTG and Tokyo Marui M3 shotguns although their shells are not compatible. The shell is loaded into the loading port just like a real shotgun. Simply push a lever and the loading gate flips open so the shell can be loaded. When it is time to reload, push the lever and the shell is literally ejected out of the gun as the gate swings open. We found this particular feature exceptionally amusing!

Upon test firing we found that the shotguns power stayed consistently around a healthy 260 fps using a .2g BB. The hop up system in the M87B is adjustable and very responsive so you can tune your shots for a nice flat trajectory whether you are using .2g or heavier! For such a short barrel we were surprised at the accuracy which this gun was capable of. We were even able to effectively engage torso sized targets out to an impressive 140 feet!

Whether you’re looking for a compact CQB springer or just want a gun for scaring the squirrels off the porch, you’ll be very happy with the SD87B.

Comes with 4 shells, shell holder and speed loader.

PLEASE NOTE: The SD87B is NOT compatible with UTG or Tokyo Marui shells. The feed tube on this shotgun is wider so other shells will not fit into it.

5 out of 5- Great Gun.

This is a pretty fun and user friendly shotgun.

    Pros

-LOOKS (It's a bit small, but it has a pretty cool look overall.)

-PRICE (One of the best shotguns you can buy in this price range.)

-DESIGN (Simple design, Loading is simple, easy to operate.)

-FPS (260 depending on which size you choose.)

-WEIGHT (It's a lightweight, even though I and most players prefer for a heavier shotgun for added realism, it makes it easy to carry around with and aim.)

-ACCURACY (Very accurate shotgun, but it's hard to determine the aiming without a sight, since no fore sights or any type of sights are included with the gun, just a rail for mounting one.)

    Cons
-CONSTRUCTION (The shotgun is made fully out of plastic, so its durability is a bit questionable)

I have had this shotgun for a few months and it still hasn't let me down.

    3 out of 5- SD87B

INTRODUCTION:Decent gun. Was waiting for me under the tree LAST year, so I have had some experience with it. Actually a pretty good gun for the price, their shell system is cool, and accuracy is decent. it does pretty well in just about all categories. I of course never really use it in games; If I bring a shotgun I use the UTG M3. However, this gun is real well on the defensive side of the war. It's great for quick pop-up shots because it's so simple. I can get really quick, accurate pop ups. But for any shot that is even somewhat long distance, let's say anything over 45 ft, forget it. You can hit it in target practice, but it still isn't easy and takes a lot of time and aim. In a game you don't have that time, you're under fire by an AEG and most likely cannot see your target clearly.

IN THE BOX: The gun is set into the foam with the pistol-grip on the right and the barrel on the left end of the box. under the shell-ejection port there's a cool little cardboard box painted with TSD logos and trademarks all over it, just like the rest of the box. In the little box are the shells and the leather shell-carrier. The shell-holder is nice leather, and holds the shells nice and tightly. And it isn't annoying either. WARNING: take the shells out of the loops when you're done; they're plastic and they'll stretch out if you don't. Then your shells just fall right out.

RATE OF FIRE: I can pump this gun so easily and so quickly, it almost makes up for the fact that there aren't any iron sights. ALMOST. It is capable of slam-firing; but I don't recommend it.

INTIMIDATION FACTOR: Not so high. It looks kinda cool, but let's face it, it's a spring shotgun, no experienced player or most novice players won't be bothered by it. The shells on the side do give it a bit of a good touch though. It has a nice crack when fired.

FIREPOWER: FPS isn't bad. I definitely think it's higher than 260, for sure. I would say an even 300. I'll tell you, it stings. It travels pretty far too. I'll admit, it's no 500 FPS but it gets the job done. A little more power couldn't hurt though, you can barely even hear it hit a tree if you're laying down cover for somebody. which you shouldn't do with a shotgun anyway...

ACCURACY: Pretty hard to aim with no iron sights. especially on a gun like this. but it isn't too hard to hit human-size targets, even when you're running. but if it's a head poking out, or you see someones foot, forget it. even from 15 ft. away, it's hard to hit a head or foot.

CAPACITY/MAGAZINE: It's pretty cool, each shell holds 14 and there's four. that's 56 shots, not bad. that takes FOREVER to deplete with a spring shotgun, believe me. And with that leather shell holder, I can switch out shells quickly. Also, When you open the ejection port, the shell pops out like a real shotgun. And to open the ejection port you just flick a switch that is just forward of the trigger guard; nice and simple for those tight moments under fire.

ACCESORIES: Like I said, that leather shell holder is very useful, and the LEAST bit annoying. It provides very quick reloads. I can't remember if it came with a speed loader or not I think it did. Either way, this one does, and that loads the shells one shell in like three pumps; one second practically.

CONCLUSION: A decent gun, but it really just is meant for those backyard battles with a friend, nothing special. I'm going to say it CANNOT compete with ANY high-end AEG, and can't compete with MOST mid-grade AEGS. An okay choice for your money, but I would save up for something that will actually put a little fear on the field.

5 out of 5- Oh My... Shotguns Forever!

First of all... THIS IS A GREAT GUN! It looks very realistic. Great FPS, great range, great accuracy.

    So here's the review:

This to me is a 50$ gun. But for 25$ who can beat that?! The gun comes with 4 shells, 14 shots each. The shell holder is very cool. I like how it attaches to the side of the shotgun. It's sort of like a SPAS 12 look without the stock. The cocking mechanism is great, it is fairly easy to pump. I use .2s with this gun and the pellet does not drop until about a good 125-130ft.

    Overall:

    Price: 5/5
    Performance: 5/5
    Realism: 5/5
    Usability: 5/5

Overall it's a great shotgun. Perfect for a CQC main weapon, or a backup. GET THIS GUN!

4 out of 5- Amazing Shotgun

This gun is very accurate even though it has low fps. When you first start out the shells are pretty hard to load. The shells are so realistic you'll faint!

4 out of 5- This is a good gun

This is a good gun for all players, whether you're new to airsoft or a veteran, this gun is for all ranges of players. OK FPS even though you can get a shotgun with a higher FPS for a few bucks cheaper or a few bucks more (depending on quality of the gun itself). It has rails at the front to add accessories like a flashlight or a laser. Also one at the top to add a red dot sight if you want one. I like the shell holder on the side of the back of the gun. That makes the gun look cool. You can give this to your friends if their gun breaks in the middle of a battle. Overall this gun is good.

    Pros:
    -OK FPS
    -Rails
    -For all players
    -Great loaner gun
-Comes with speed loader for new players to the airsoft world

    Cons:
-You can get a gun with better FPS for a better price

This is a good gun for all levels of players.

4 out of 5- for its price

this is an okay shotgun fro someone just starting or if you want a nice, small, handy shotgun for cqb. honestly this is great for spring cqb because you're not going to find a shotgun at this price, first of all, and you can't find one much shorter.

Looks: this gun looks really good to start of with. It even has 3 rails on the front and one for mounting a scope(more of a red dot with its range). It's a little on the light side when it comes to weight but i guess that's a good thing and a bad thing about it. It also comes with a shell holder and the shells themselves are pretty nice. One of the things i didn't like about it was the gun felt cheaply made.

Performance: Shorty says that they were "effectively able to hit a torso size target at 140 ft." but i found it hard to hit a target at a 100 ft. with this gun. Its size definitely shows that it's meant for cqb and not for hitting a target afar off. It gives enough power for close range but the farther it goes it starts to curve hard.

    Pros:
    Size
    Weight
    Shell holder
    Full RIS system
    Price

    Cons:
    Accuracy
    Weight
    RIS put into pump action

In conclusion i gave this gun four stars for its maneuverability and its price. Otherwise it's not much but it's a good buy for how much it is.

4 out of 5- Hmm, only 260fps for the price of a SPRING PISTOL!!!

OK, if you got a M87, this little thing is going to be very light. This isn't a high-end gun, but it is an alternative to a spring pistol that you should consider, with better accuracy, range, and power. GET THIS GUN

4 out of 5- One of the better shotties...

Haven't written a review in a while but here goes...

First off, I DON'T OWN THIS.
however, i have used it quite extensively. (neighbor bought one at a retailer)

It's a nice gun, i won't lie. It stands up to the utg m87 series shotguns, but i must say i like the m87's better (SOS w/ collapsible stock rocks)

Okay, here's what i like about the TSD shotgun

    Shell type mags (adds realism)
    Compact (excellent for maneuvering)
Insanely quiet (lube it up people!)
Range (about 100-120 feet, great for $25 gun!)
Fps (about 250 to 275, great because its purpose is CQC)
Shell capacity (14 per shell, w/ 4 shells, sweet!)
Quick reload time (no fumbling w/ magazines, shells attach to gun!)
RIS rail (buy a red dot sight/scope)
Price (what can i say, it's affordable)

    What i don't like
Feels cheap (but it is, so i can't really complain)
Single shot (most airsoft shotguns are, but i like multi-shot shotguns)
I don't have one (it's on my Christmas list though!)

If i could give it a four and a half i would, but it doesn't deserve a 5.
Even so, it would be dumb to pass up a spectacular offer like this

Note: Shorty, with this deal you are going to bring a smile to a bunch of kids this Christmas, keep it up.

    Happy Holidays!

3 out of 5- fun to shoot

first of all, let me say that those of you who want a big "manly" shotgun that if you want a big one, get one. but if you want a practical maneuverable substitute for a pistol, this is it. yes it is small, but for its size and price, pretty accurate. ...

    looks: 3/5

    maneuverability: 4/5

    accuracy: 3/5

    mag capacity: 3/5

    feel: 3/5

overall good gun. good sidearm. fun to shoot.
