  • Spare 20 round magazine for UHC MP5-SD3.

  • As can been seen by the reviews below there are some problems with keeping the BBs in the spare magazine while running around in the field. This is because there is no spring loaded catch to block the BBs from rolling out of the magazine if it is tilted. However, there is a very simple solution! Take a big rubber band like the kind that comes around your newspaper and stretch it around the magazine (see picture #2). This effectively keeps the BBs in place and can quickly be removed during reloading. This is better than using tape as you can always reuse the rubber band where a piece of tape can loose its stickiness after a few uses.

Please note: This spare magazine is slightly different in design from the magazine that comes with the UHC MP5 SD3 originally. This magazine has an open cavity behind the feed tube which is intended for storing spare BBs. However, we find this to be rather impractical and suggest using a speed loader to carry spare ammo with you instead.

5 out of 5- Pretty Simple, Buy

I have no clue of why your checking out the reviews on the magazines because it's a no brainer, always buy at least one spare magazine with any new gun you purchase. Sure, every magazine might be a tad bit durable than another, but it all still comes down to one thing FOR ANY MAGAZINE! Always take care of your magazine, even if it's built from steel or titanium (lol doubt that'll even happen with airsoft guns).

No matter which magazine you buy, always take good care of it, and it's not hard to do. Don't drop it, don't bang it against anything, and don't jam BBs in the magazines. Pretty simple. So if your reading this review and usually do read reviews on magazines, DON'T! Just buy the spare magazine cuz YOU WILL NEED IT, no matter which gun you have.

    Thank you for reading.

5 out of 5- Of course buy it

like the first review says just tape over the end or better yet just buy an mp5 mag pouch and make sure you put them in right side up and simply pull the straps tight it works like a charm I have three extra mags and it works perfectly.

4 out of 5- decent capacity

I bought an srt-sd3 and like it a lot, however the magazine only holds 20 rounds which is cool i guess, but until reading the review i diddn't know to use the rubber bands, i like being able to tell approximately how many rounds you have left (thing on the side that you pull down) and the fact it fits nicely into the gun. 20 shots can go by pretty quickly so having a few extra clips helps a lot.

3 out of 5- I got the gun for this but...

I got the HFC MP5, and i love it. It's my main gun since im just starting in airsoft (i got 4 guns), and i got the HFC extra mag for it and it's AWESOME! This one seems very good for the price, but i don't have it. The HFC extra mag holds 40 rounds. This holds about 20 rounds. and is about half as cheap. Just like The HFC mag, you have to use a rubber band or something to keep the bb's in, but that isn't a big problem. So here is my comparison from what Shory has told me.

    HFC MAG/THIS MAG

    Mag Capacity: 40/20
    Speed Load: Yes/Yes
    Works with HFC MP5: Yes/Yes
    Reload Time: about 30sec/15sec
Mag life (before reloading again): about 80sec/40sec

Basically, they are the exactly the same. If i'd have known about this mag, i would have bought this insead of the HFC one, just because it's cheaper.

4 out of 5- Buy alot because its low capacity.

For such a high powered rifle you need good mags, and these are good mags. They are low capacity so you may need to buy 2 to be satisfied with them.

    5 out of 5- A Must Have

I have a MP5 SD3 and yes it doesn't have the biggest clip in town. This is why you need to get a spare. Most of the people who rate this mag low are the retards that say,"Well, this mag sucks because when you turn it upside down all the bb's fall out." I think when they were younger someone turned the upside down and poured all of there brains out. Put a piece of tape over the hole or string a wide rubberband from top to bottom and cover up the hole that way. By the way, look at picture 2, that is when the rubberband idea came from.
    Hope This Helped,

5 out of 5- Great Idea

This is a great idea to buy this. Most mp5s have more ammo than the UHC one, well all the ones i have seen anyway. Especially with the UTG mp5 having 500 a round mag, you will need a few extra magazines to compete. Sure it is kind of poorly designed in that bbs fly out, but just put duct tape over it. I thought I was smart for figuring this out, but others already have. O well.

5 out of 5- Good Magazine That Does It's Job

Don't listen to the people that badmouth this magazine because it is fast and easy to reload because it has a loader tool built in that you can take out and put back in easily. Also about the bb's falling out problem, do what the first review said, just make a little duct tape booty.
