Since its release in early 2004 the new 1911 has proven to be the most reliable spring pistol UHC currently makes. Whether you are on the target range or at the skirmish line the UHC 1911 will not let you down.

The real steel 1911 was invented by John Browning nearly a century ago. However, it is still used today by elite military units and law enforcement agencies around the world. Its stopping power and proven reliability has made it the sidearm of choice among elite organizations such as the LAPD SWAT and the Marine Expeditionary Unit.

The UHC 1911 authentically replicates this famous pistol with great detail. It features an open ejection port, textured metal trigger, working grip and thumb safety plus a highly detailed full size magazine.

UHC is known for making great performing airsoft guns and the 1911 is no exception. It doesn’t take much effort to cock this pistol as its operation is smooth and the slide is easy to grip. Thanks to a solid barrel and superb hop up system the 1911 is surprisingly accurate and has impressive range. If you are planning on shooting outdoors it is suggested to go with .2g BBs for best accuracy and range.

5 out of 5- Excellent Springer!

This gun will not disappoint! Accuracy is excellent and the weight is well balanced. The realism is phenominal, with the open ejection port and the working thumb safety. The mag holds 26 rounds, which is great for a springer. I would say that it shoots around 250-280 fps with a .12 BB. This gun has not yet failed to let me down and I highly recommend it to beginners or anybody who wants a great spring gun for a low price!

    5 out of 5- UHC M1911A1

This is an excellent spring pistol. .12g BB's are not accurate in this gun, but .2 and even .25 shoot very well. .29g metal BB's will fire, but care must be taken not to overload the magazine, as this will cause a jam and power with such a heavy BB is rather low. This pistol tends to shoot high and can be somewhat difficult to cock if you don't have a firm grip on the slide. If you like the military M1911A1 or you are trying to re-enact World War II, this is the pistol for you. About the only other good M1911A1's out there in the military configuration are the KJW and Western Arms GBB's, which are rather expensive. Real-steel M1911 grips will fit this pistol, I have black Hogue rubber grips on mine, they do a good job as far as improving control and I already had them sitting around anyways so I didn't have to go out and buy them. The stock plastic grips are somewhat slippery, esp if your hands are wet or sweaty. You can adapt this pistol with a HFC silencer kit if you want to imitate John Kelly in Tom Clancy's Without Remorse. In that novel, Kelly converts his military M1911 to .22 caliber and builds a silencer for it. The sights on a M1911 are too low for use with a silencer, so Kelly in the book painted a thin white stripe down the top of the silencer.

5 out of 5- This is THE BEST $20 spring pistol ANYWHERE.

    I've got a complete review, with pictures, at www.killedbyplastic.tk , http://www.geocities.com/killedbyplastic/1911review.html

    Basic specs:

-accurate to 75-80 feet with .2g bbs
-holds 25 in the mag with room enough to put the mag into the gun
    -Extra mags are incredibly cheap
-Grip safety and thumb safety, two separate things, both work
-Easily millions of times better than the Tanfoglio Witness
-Weighs more than one pound, which is really heavy for an airsoft pistol but not too heavy to be unusable
-Metal trigger, metal inside the gun, metal reinforced slide

Overall, this gun can't be beat by any pistol except the Tokyo Marui HGHU pistols ($40 plus shipping from odd sites, they have to get them from Japan) or a KWC Ultra Grade Desert Eagle. The KWC DE is worse than the TM HGHU pistols, if you wondered.

If you've got $30 and you want to order from this site, buy a UHC 1911 and some .2g BBs. It'll be the best $30 you ever spent.

    5 out of 5- UHC Colt .45

The UHC 1911 or Colt .45 is quite possibly the best spring pistol for its price range. It has a good magazine capacity number, 22. It actually has two safties, first the regular switch type saftey and also the lever type saftey on the back of the pistol's grip. I found that unless you press the lever while cocking the pistol you will chamber a round, but it will not cock the pistol's spring and the bb it chambered simply rolls out the barrel. So, you may want to be careful not to let that happen if your in a skirmish. My only complaint with this pistol is that it is not all that powerful, but what it lacks in power it makes up for in accuracy and distance. At close range your opponent will fill the bb, but at longer ranges if it does not hit their bare skin they may barely fill it at all. Still it has great accuracy and distance for a spring pistol. It also has lots of detail, such as its textured trigger and back of the grip. It has good weight and balance, with most of the weight seeming to be in the grip. Overall, this is, in my opinion, the best spring pistol out there for under $20 and will not let you down.

5 out of 5- best buy

this is probably the best spring pistol their is, it is super accuate even with low grade .12's, its power is awsome and i havent even lubed it yet, easy to cock, if u r going to use it for an airsoft war then buy (atleast 1) a UTG speed loader though, otherwise ur going to have to fill it up 1 by 1, nice quality and weight

5 out of 5- Very well worth it

This gun is much like other UHC guns. I have had three UHC pistols, and all of them produced the same result. They were accurate, reliable, easy to use, and are overall great guns. If you are looking to buy a $20 gun, get this (or another UHC). This gun is great for its price, but the much more expensive spring pistols are a little better. This gun has more quality for the amount of money you spend than any other gun I have bought. Also, this gun in particular is very slim (not small, only skinny), and can be used as a conceiled tertiary weapon. A particular incident I had was when a friend and I were trying to wrestle the gun from each other. It didn't take a huge amount of force to pull it apart (although it wouldn't break unless you really tried), but it went back together very smoothly. To this day, mine hasn't jammed once.

5 out of 5- Unbelievable Pistol

This pistol is amazing. It works perfectly whenever I need it and packs a punch with any type of ammo. It has a large clip as well. The 26 can keep my opponent in check for quite a while. I would not recommend this gun as a prime weapon, I don't recommend any pistol as a prime weapon for that matter. This gun is also remarkably quiet. The sharp tap and click of the gun will go almost completely unnoticed in a firefight so you can attack from behind easily. If you are in an urban battle, which I've been in a few, this gun serves great as a mobile and agile weapon in the too-close-for-rifle combat situations. All-in-all this gun is perfect to the last point and a great buy for a spring pistol.

    5 out of 5- i break for .45's

this is definately one of the best pistols ever made i just ordered my second one yesterday night w/ a .45 holster and i cant wait till i get it, it is the perfect sidearm, i used to use it as a back up to my M16VN until i dropped it off a roof onto the road.....i was about to cry (not really) but you get the message this is one of the best springers ever made and if you have a brain you will by it. ohh and i actually prefer it to my gas glock 19 blow back!

5 out of 5- Kicks ass

This gun is the best there can be in cheap springers. I use it for my back up when my TM m733 is out of ammo. Yes a spring gun for a back up with an AEG. This gun kicks ass. Buy it.
