ECHO 1 has been one of the most popular brands of AEG rifles in the USA for the better part of the past decade. But, up until now they have never put their name with a handgun. Today that all changes with the introduction of the LWD Timberwolf gas blow back.

Based in the western state of Idaho, Lone Wolf Distributors is a well known producer of custom aftermarket firearm parts and specializes in the customization of Glock handguns. This officially licensed Timberwolf airsoft pistol replicates one of these handguns which has been completely rebuilt with a custom LWD slide and Timberwolf frame. To make a firearm look like this it would run you over a thousand dollars but thanks to ECHO 1 you can now own an airsoft replica for quite a bit less.

Overall this hi-tech looking pistol is solidly constructed and highly detailed. The full metal LWD slide is an exact replica of the real steel by featuring a tapered "bull nose" muzzle, fore and aft cocking serrations and an oversized ejection port. Its Timberwolf railed frame is molded from reinforced polymer and features two easily interchangeable grip panels to custom fit the pistol to your hand. As a final touch ECHO 1 has equipped their pistol with a 14mm CCW threaded muzzle which can accept most any aftermarket attachment.

The mechanics of the Timberwolf are cloned after a Tokyo Marui and it is even compatible with TM magazines and some aftermarket parts. Its hop-up adjustment wheel is located underneath of the chamber which is accessed by removing the slide. This is easily accomplished by racking the slide back, pulling down on the two slotted levers on each side of the frame and pulling the slide off of the front of the pistols frame just like you would do with the real firearm. The adjustable hop-up system allows the Timberwolf to be used with BBs ranging in weight from .2g to .25g.

Squeeze of a round with the Timberwolf and the heavy metal slide rocks back with a potent kick. ECHO 1 fitted their pistol with a heavy recoil spring for reliable feeding so the overall action of this handgun is exceptionally crisp and solid. Powered by green gas the Timberwolf produces a healthy 300 fps at the muzzle with a .2g BB and is capable of effectively engaging a man sized target from a distance of 40 yards with consistent accuracy.

Shown with but not included: Venom Tech USA 3.25 inch Mock Suppressor (Please Note: The added weight of a mock suppressor or tracer unit can sometimes affect the function of the slide stop during low pressure operation.)

    5 out of 5- Echo 1 Timberwolf

This is a great gun. Its a gas blow back so if you don't have a lot of green gas lying around the smell will probably be bad and that's really the only down side. Other than that its a good gun. Its looks like a Glock 17 but its just a little better. The grip is very nice and feels like a Colt 1911 slightly. There is a "beaver tail" as Echo 1 calls it to stop the slide from pinching you. It looks awkward but you probably will not find it to be that bad(as I did). The pistol also feels really solid. One thing to watch out for is when adjust the hop-up just be careful to not move the recoil spring so much it is different from a M9 or a Sig 229 and the slide won't go on correctly if it isn't in place. Another good thing about this gun is Echo 1 has tech support videos for all there products including this one. There is only one right now for general maintenance of the gun and the magazine but its new and Echo 1 has a lot of new stuff out so there a little busy right now, just be patient. Last thing I have to say is it comes with a manual that isn't very indepth on how to do everything but better than nothing and a spear magazine plate and back strap. over all worth it if you like Glocks or SOCOM gear pistols because the box says it was an Echo 1/SOCOM gear pistol.

5 out of 5- My favorite pistol

This gun is great it feels like the real deal to me it also has a great trigger it reacts very fast.
It has a good sized mag
    never jammed on me
I got like 4 of my friends to get them and they told me it was the best gun they ever owned
I still wouldn't recommend it to beginners just because sometimes it's hard taking care of gas and what not
    anyway I LOVE THIS GUN!!!!!!
