If you haven‘t had the opportunity to play around with a tracer unit yet you don‘t know what you are missing. Arguably the most fun you‘ll ever have with your airsoft gun even when there are no real targets involved.

Inside of this ordinary looking mock suppressor is a high tech collaboration of circuits, capacitors, infrared sensors and one wicked strobe light. When your gun fires a glow in the dark BB the round passes through the sensor which triggers the strobe. The BB is charged with the ultra intense strobe light and sent streaking into the dark. The strobe makes the BB glow much brighter than it would by simply retaining natural daylight to the point that the BB can light up nearby objects as it streaks by. The end result is best described as looking something like a blaster out of Star Wars. The strobe will still fire even when non-glow in the dark BBs are used so you get a really cool looking muzzle flash.

Aside from the sheer enjoyment of ricocheting tracer rounds off of every hard object in range the tracer round does have its tactical advantages if used properly. When using a standard or mid capacity magazine if you stagger one tracer BB for every four regular BBs you can effectively see the trajectory of your shots even in total darkness. Staggering your rounds reduces the usage of your precious tracer BBs and doesn‘t draw a straight line right back to your shooting position making it harder for your opponent to trace you! There is however an easy to reach on/off toggle button on the rear of the unit so if you are compromised you can switch into "stealth mode" with the press of a button.

    5 out of 5- Fun

This is really fun for night ASW

It slightly dulls the sound of your gun

    Pros:
    Fun
    Silences your gun
    Shoots tracers

    Cons:
    Can give away your position
You need to buy Specific bb's for it

4 out of 5- Only if you're into it

It didn't really impress me.... And to what DUNKLINT said; a tracer is NOT supposed to give away your position ... You'd be just as well standing up and saying "Here I am!" It does look pretty awesome banking them off of my shed's roof at night, and it does add a little scare tactic... but as for a lot of airsoft accessories, it's mostly for people who are REALLY into airsoft.

    4 out of 5- Cool!

In airsoft, you don't see things that are just plain cool. This changes that. Even my dad likes it 'cause real tracer rounds are illegal, and in our family we own a lot of guns.

These help for sighting your gun.
Cool for night games, but only with your friends.

Overall: Really, Really cool. Price and the price of tracer BBs are the only things that bring it down.

3 out of 5- only for one purpose.

This has only one use --- that is if you have those bb's it says to buy with this. I wasn't really impressed, but if you buy the glow in the dark bb's get the .25's.
    That's it.

    4 out of 5- awesome

this is an exact copy of the tokyo marui tracer. to the reviewer above "giving away your position" is not a con because that's what the tracer is meant to do. also buying special bbs is not a con, just buy a big bag of them and only use them in the gun with the tracer on it. but it works great and in cqb it's quite terrifying to see a line of bbs come at you. a great buy for $70 compared to the tm which runs $100 .

5 out of 5- Good Unit

I've used this in multiple games. Never had an issue. Just make sure you put fresh batteries in for each game.

Also make sure the thread on your barrel is counter-clockwise. I've purchased an adapter, that allows me to put this on clockwise threaded guns too.

It's a lot of fun . . . but if you do night games and you are the only one using one of these, you'll draw a lot of fire.

Mine has been rugged and never failed me for about a year now.

    Hope this helps.
