For those of you who are tired of the countless M4/M16 variants flooding the market and are looking for a unique spring rifle then this fully licensed FAMAS SV is the gun for you.

Construction: While it is made out of ABS plastic with some metal internal parts the FAMAS has a well balanced and sturdy feel. Some might think it has a somewhat awkward looking design although the FAMAS is actually very comfortable to shoot. The rear peep sight is click adjustable for elevation. Also if iron sights are not your thing there are weaver rails on the carry handle and under the foregrip for accessorizing with scopes, red dot sights, lasers and flashlights. With a reversible cheek rest and center cocking bolt this gun is perfect for either left or right handed shooters. Since the cocking bolt is located in the center of the rifle the shooter can keep one hand on the pistol grip and still cock the gun so you can fire this gun quite rapidly.

Performance: We were pleasantly surprised with the performance the FAMAS produced. With a .2g BB it can easily keep up with an ultra grade A-15. In the hands of an experienced shooter taking full advantage of its rapid fire capabilities the FAMAS could spell disaster for the opposition.

Comes with sling and loading tool.

5 out of 5- HAVE IT LOVE IT... mostly...

My first airsoft gun. Ordered it from shorty a while back 3-4 years i don't remember... Anyways I love it. It is great for newbs but, i would not recommend for field play... It is too hard to reload, bring your hand back to the grip and fire, then repeat all in the heat of the moment... or this may be your way to play... i'm just a fan of AEGs, Ps. There is a FAMAS AEG on shorty ;)... I would recommend it for plinking... It fires straight to about 80 feet then curves but can hold medium ammo... so if you got bbs...also barrel threads breaks EASILY and the bottom rail too and i don't like how the top rail mount comes off easily and the sights suck because they're too far above the barrel so not accurate but just gives you a general idea of where your shots are gonna hit... DON'T USE BI-POD --- TOO HEAVY FOR GUN... have fun... Don't forget to check out echo 1 bbs for this gun on shorty...

    pros-
    Good beginner gun
    High accuracy at CQB
    Good velocity
    Affordable
    Cool look
    Great interiors
    Lasts long
    Medium clip size
    Fun plinker
Nice cheek rest comfy even though its plastic
    Decent parts (excluding plastic... ew)
    Nice sight adjustment
    Nice sound when fired

    Cons-
    Easy breakable threads
    Easy breakable bottom rail
    Easy breakable strap holder
Top rail comes off its annoying (maybe just me)
Can make people bleed at CQB (due to good accuracy and velocity at CQB)
    Plastic

    4 out of 5- A Good Springer

For something you can pick up for 40 bucks ..., this is a really nice gun. Though a seemingly awkward design for someone familiar with M4s and AKs, it is actually very comfortable to handle whichever side you favor. And despite the outer construction being entirely ABS plastic (with the exception of the rear sling mounts) it is in fact quite solid. Nothing rattles or jiggles, no matter how hard you shake or run with it. I have not ever dropped the gun though, so I don't know what would happen then. Very likely the flash hider could break off, as it is a separate piece that screws on -- so be careful.

The light weight of the gun makes it very agile, running and maneuvering through the woods won't tire you out or wear down your arm strength. The cocking is very smooth and easy (though watch your fingers! Very easy to pinch a finger if you're not careful... gloves recommended) making this gun great for rapid firing should the occasion call for it. I will warn you however, rapid firing WILL sacrifice accuracy unless you are using a red dot scope or something similar; the iron sights -- being very small and narrow -- are not that great, especially in low light areas (like woods) where it becomes difficult to discern where your sights actually are!
Difficulty with seeing through the iron sights aside (which are adjustable for elevation and windage), this is a very accurate weapon. Powerful, too. My friend shot me with it in the finger once... pain. Pain on the level of being hit with an AEG at close range.

Unfortunately the magazine only holds 45 rounds, about 3 or 4 of which won't fire and will drop out when you change out the mag. If you're one who enjoys prolonged high volume firefights, extra mags are a must. The mag release is a bit sticky... if it doesn't pull back for you at first, don't worry, it's not broken... just pull hard. For those not used to the bullpup design, with practice switching mags will become intuitive and easy (you're a human being, adapt). Oh yeah, this gun is loud! Since the action occurs much closer to where your head is (bullpup) you hear the crack right in your ear.

Overall this is a very nice gun, especially considering how inexpensive it is. Maneuverable, accurate, powerful, intuitive... easy to use. For the casual airsoft player, this is definitely a good choice.

Cool gun... Kind of annoying that you have to manually cock it, but otherwise everything is awesome.

    4 out of 5- Okay-ish...

One of my friends brought this to a war plus a shotgun and a pistol and an m-16. The rest of us were using m-16s. This guy got bored in the middle of the war and let me use this famas while he brought out the spring shotgun. At first I had trouble cocking it, but I soon got used to it. It was annoying when I was under AEG fire and cocking every shot, but other than that I liked the gun. It was relatively accurate, and shot through brush okay. The iron sights were great, but I would've preferred a red dot (personal preference). Overall, I don't think I'd save up my hard earned money to buy one myself...but it's your decision.
