The ECHO 1 M203 QD launcher is a solidly built unit with some really good features. Both the frame and the barrel are constructed out of metal. The only piece of plastic on this launcher is the ribbed grip. Nothing is more intimidating than the sound of this baby snapping shut.

It comes with three different mount adapters so it can be mounted to new or old style M4s with or without a RIS. One adapter fits the orginal two tab Marui type barrel nut/delta ring which most ECHO 1 M4s have. The other works on the newer star pattern barrel nut/delta ring as used on late model Classic Army, KWA and UTG M4s. And of course the third adapter works with any standard RIS rail. The front mount is a quick detach design which simply clamps over your barrel so you wont be fumbling with wrenches and screws like on other models.

  • Full metal construction.
  • Chambers any 40mm airsoft grenade shell.
  • 3 different mounting adapters.
  • Designed for M4s with a standard 14.5 inch barrel.
  • Measures 15 inches long.
  • Weighs 1.62 lbs.
  • Grenade shell not included.

5 out of 5- Nothing scarier

I looked like i caught a wicked case of small pox in my side after getting hit with this.
My friend had just got one in the mail and he hooked it up on his FAMAS.
I give this launcher some props,
    other than Madbull launcher,
It can be hooked up on most anything.
Plus it has the fear factor of looking damn close to the real steel launcher.

    Pros.
Can be hooked up to just about any weapon with a rail.
Comes with all the other hook-ups for any other M-16/M-4.

    Cons.
    Grenades are bit expensive.
(But the look on your opponents face will be priceless when a wall of plastic comes flying at them)

Just as a note. the paintball grenade isn't suggested for this.
Anything longer than the paint grenade is asking for trouble with the launcher

    5 out of 5- great!

This is good if like to get different guns but don't want to buy a different launcher for every different mount style. I used to have a m4, it had no ris rails so i had to buy them to get a launcher that could mount, but with this it can mount to so many things.

    that's it yo

5 out of 5- top notch launcher

This is the third launcher i have owned and by far the best.

Much more solid than the previous two, including an earlier echo. The mounts work great and mount it to my M-4 so solidly. Everything on the launcher works so flawlessly. The barrel/pump have a slight rattle if there is no grenade inside, but since your hand is on it while using the gun it stops.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants a grenade launcher for their airsoft gun.

    4 out of 5- A good add-on

I have had this launcher for about a year now. I don't always use this in combat though. It is more of a shotgun rather than launcher with most shells. I have found it limiting to the rifle man "class" only. When i do use it, it is with my Echo 1 M4A1. It's a good add on, but again, it is situational. With the one shell I have, it is single use, which limits it even more. If not used properly, then you waste gas, anywhere between 50-200 BBs, and then must carry an extra 5 lbs. of metal with you the rest of the match.

That all being said, when used properly with practice, you can arch the rounds to hit your target much more often, learn the spread of the rounds, and possible "save your life" in a match.

    Pros.
Can be effective when used right
    Good spread of BBs
    Easy to use
Easy to put on, or take of your weapon.
Can be used without a main weapon.

    Cons.
    Uses a lot of gas.
    Limiting
Heavy, extra weight after it's used.

This weapon can be used effectively, but you will need practice, and a practice situation for it. If it's your forte, then buy it.

3 out of 5- You'll have to decide if it's worth the $...

This is a full-metal accessory and awesome-looking addition to an assault rifle! There is no denying (regardless of the grenade round capacity you choose) that when you pull the trigger on someone they will notice. The real question is, does this weapon fit your style of play. I learned early on that this grenade "launcher" should be treated like an under-mounted shot gun and not a device that launches projectiles. When I adapted my style of play so that anyone inside of 40 or 50 feet got peppered, it worked great! In the end I preferred to mount a bi-pod instead of the launcher since I rarely played CQB games.

When determining if you should buy an airsoft weapon or in this case a weapon accessory, I believe the following factors should be considered:

    Intimidation - 10/10
The cloud of gas released, hollow thud sound (almost like a spud-gun), and fact that even if you only have a 48 round capacity grenade loaded you're going to pepper someone so badly they will probably poop themselves makes this one of the most intimidating weapon options on the airsoft market.
    Firepower - 10/10
Even firing the smallest capacity grenade is awesome firepower. If you opt for the 200 grenade (overkill) then don't shoot someone you want to have a civilized conversation with later...
    Rate of Fire - 3/10
Beyond the obvious fact that a grenade launcher is a single shot weapon, I found it next to impossible to reload the grenades in the field, so unless you have a reloading bench or enough money to buy plenty of grenades you'll only enjoy a few shots per game tops. (Note: do not unscrew the grenades all the way; I did this in a rush to reload behind a tree. The grenade came apart, small pieces spilled everywhere and the grenade never worked again.)
    Cost - 2/10
Let's be honest, for the cost of the launcher and two or three spare grenades you could buy a pretty nice back-up AEG. That's a lot of money for an accessory you might not get the chance to use every game. How much intimidation comes from a weapon you never get to fire?
    Realism - 5/10
Depending on the mounting option you choose the realism look is almost identical to the real thing. I only gave it 5 out of 10 because beyond look this thing doesn't launch anything!!! And under-mounted shotguns don't look like 203 launchers.

    Total - 30/50
Like I said, you'll have to decide if it's worth the money and if it fits your style of play.

Let me know if my ranting helped you decide or not, please rate.

5 out of 5- Crikey! I'd be set with this and many many shells...

This thing is awesome. First off, I do not personally own this, but I have used it multiple times (more than my friend has actually)and I love it. I would definitely invest in one. It's perfect for those tight situations where you need to re-load or re-wind your mag and you have multiple (or one) enemy approaching you. Or if you're like me, use it as a full-blown assault weapon. Depending on the type of grenade you use, it will unleash hell on your opponents before they know what hit them. It still works great in the cold too!

WAR STORY: Last weekend I was with my team, and we were facing a bunch of our friends (18 vs. 7 to be exact, we were the 7) and my friend gave this to me to use, and I lent him my Mk. 1 Carbine (great gun) for a few rounds. Yes, I did run around with only this launcher because it was entertaining. Reloading is a pain, so get multiple grenades if you can afford them, but it doesn't take THAT long to reload completely (I can do it in under a minute). We were playing king of the hill, and my team was on one side of this barn, I was on the other side, and they provided covering fire, I rushed the hill and popped this bad boy off on 4 guys up there, they were all crying in pain ready to surrender. Later that match (no more king of the hill), I was hiding in an old grain silo, and ambushed 3 separate guys, 3 separate times (more time to master the reloading) and then a 4th guy came around, and I wasn't even finished reloading yet, but I put the empty shell back in and held it to his face, and he surrendered without knowing the shell was empty, so the intimidation factor is outstanding. If someone sees you coming at them with this, they will be afraid. Who wants to get showed with bb's anyways? It hurts! Just ask the other team.
