ECHO 1 has been one of the most popular brands of AEG rifles in the USA for the better part of the past decade. But, up until now they have never put their name with a handgun. Today that all changes with the introduction of the LWD Timberwolf gas blow back.
Based in the western state of Idaho, Lone Wolf Distributors is a well known producer of custom aftermarket firearm parts and specializes in the customization of Glock handguns. This officially licensed Timberwolf airsoft pistol replicates one of these handguns which has been completely rebuilt with a custom LWD slide and Timberwolf frame. To make a firearm look like this it would run you over a thousand dollars but thanks to ECHO 1 you can now own an airsoft replica for quite a bit less.
Overall this hi-tech looking pistol is solidly constructed and highly detailed. The full metal LWD slide is an exact replica of the real steel by featuring a tapered "bull nose" muzzle, fore and aft cocking serrations.
The mechanics of the Timberwolf are cloned after a Tokyo Marui and it is even compatible with TM magazines and some aftermarket parts. Its hop-up adjustment wheel is located underneath of the chamber which is accessed by removing the slide. This is easily accomplished by racking the slide back, pulling down on the two slotted levers on each side of the frame and pulling the slide off of the front of the pistols frame just like you would do with the real firearm. The adjustable hop-up system allows the Timberwolf to be used with BBs ranging in weight from .2g to .25g.
Squeeze of a round with the Timberwolf and the heavy metal slide rocks back with a potent kick. ECHO 1 fitted their pistol with a heavy recoil spring for reliable feeding so the overall action of this handgun is exceptionally crisp and solid. Powered by green gas the Timberwolf produces a healthy 300 fps at the muzzle with a .2g BB and is capable of effectively engaging a man sized target from a distance of 40 yards with consistent accuracy.
