So you finally got that Airsoft K98 or MP40 and all the gear to boot, but your authentic German WWII load out is still missing something, but what could it be? How about the infamous 9mm Luger used by the Germans from 1908 to 1938? That’s it! But with the cost of all the gear you just bought, how can you expect to buy a Luger? Surely it must either cost a fortune or be horrible quality! Perhaps so, until now at least! The new WE Luger is not only cost effective, but it’s full metal, has trademarks, and feels just like the real Luger!

The real 9mm Luger (P-08), also referred to as “parabellum” which translates to “for war” was utilized by the Germans during WWII and is synonymous with the war and sought after by Allied troops as a war trophy. So famous is this gun that it’s still sought after by collectors from all over the world today.

So detailed is this recreation that it even has trademarks similar to those found on the real Luger. In fact, when we did a side by side comparison with a real Luger, those who we asked to discern the Airsoft gun from the Luger generally had to simply guess. From the stamped “1915” on the top of the barrel to indicate it was manufactured during that year to the “Gesichert” marking the safety selector. Also amazing is that this gun functions exactly like the real Luger, the slide moving uniquely just like the real one. And there’s no guessing if you fired all of your BBs or not as when you’re out of ammo, the gun’s action will stay locked open.

While this WE Luger might not be the best of shooters and has a limited magazine capacity of only 15 rounds, it can certainly do its job and engage targets effectively up to 100 feet. This gun comes highly recommended if you have an Airsoft, or even Reenactment German WWII load out or if you just love the 9mm Luger.

Please note: while this particular version of the Luger is not generally the one you see in the movies, it was actually used and is referred to as the P-17 “Artillery” model. Aside from a longer barrel, it features adjustable rear sights forward of the breach rather than the groove cut into the rear of the receiver as on the P08 Luger.

5 out of 5- Not for battles

As you can see, this is not meant for all out wars, but is meant for plinking and display, maybe even a ww2 reenactment. The gun is very realistic and has a nice "pop" sound every time you fire it.

If you're here for acting, display, collecting, etc. This is your gun. But if you're here for battles only, this is not your gun.

5 out of 5- good Not practical.

This gun is like the medium and short barrel makes but has a longer barrel. This gun is more accurate but it isn't good in a battle. It is long. If you want a better review of it read the short barrel Luger review i put in.

5 out of 5- A great show gun, but not for fights

I'm going to have to agree with lowepro here. This gun was in no way good for battles. For the price, you could get a much better gas pistol mags. So, basically only get this for target shooting and possibly display. Still, I have to give it a five for its great looks :).

    4 out of 5- WWII

I don't know why but my friends and i decided to have a fight using WWII guns only. I was using my Thompson and my friend on my team had this. This fight was a 2 on 5 because i was the only one with an electric. I took out the first kid when he charged in with his Stinger p9 pistol. Surprisingly, my fiend took out the rest by charging the enemy bunker. So the next round I switched my thompson for his luger.

The luger was easily the most comfortable pistol i've ever held. That round was like the last, the pistol eliminated 4 players while the thompson only got rid of 1. Overall this pistol shot straight and with ease.

    Great Buy!

4 out of 5- Beautiful, but not useful.

I have to agree with everyone else when I say that this is a BEAUTIFUL gun, but not helpful in battles. But if it's just a pistol vs. pistol duel, this is your gun. I gave it a four for its sheer beauty.
