Thompson spring special! ONLY $149.99!! Regularly $249.99!! Offer good while supplies last!!
Carried by war heroes and gangsters alike, the Thompson has had a very long and colorful career which spanned over 60 years. The .45 cal submachine gun better known as the Tommy Gun first entered production in 1921 and quickly became the weapon of choice during the infamous gang wars of the prohibition period. It also saw heavy use during WWII and continued to see service well into the Vietnam War.
This variant of the Thompson is the M1A1 which was adopted by the U.S. military shortly after the start of WWII. It featured the horizontal foregrip, protected rear sight and had the bolt located on the side of the receiver instead of on the top. The M1A1 was issued with the stick magazine instead of the drum magazine typically seen used by the gangsters of the 1920ís.
For those of you who donít have two grand and a class 3 license for a real Thompson, this officially licensed airsoft replica is a good solution.
Manufactured under contract by King Arms this Thompson M1A1 has a very high metal content which includes the upper receiver and barrel as well as many other smaller parts such as the sling mounts and sector/safety switches. On top of being metal, its upper receiver even features trademarks from Auto Ordnance Corp. for added realism. Its stock, pistol grip and foregrip are constructed out of dense ABS plastic with a very convincing wood grain finish. One interesting feature is the unique curvature of the stocks butt plate which enables the shooter to rock the gun up from the ready position to the shouldered firing position in one fluid movement. Overall the gun is extremely well built with notably good balance and rock solid feel.
The gearbox is a full metal Version 6 with steel gears running on 6mm metal bushings for increased durability. It has been fitted with a ported piston head and a high performance spring which produces a velocity of 400+ fps at the muzzle using a .2g BB. Powered by an 8.4v battery the Thompson will achieve 650 rounds per minute which is only slightly off from the 700 rounds per minute of the real M1A1 submachine gun. With its adjustable hop-up system the gun is able to accurately fire BBs weighing from .2g all the way up to .28g. The adjustment dial for the hop-up system is craftily hidden in the guns mock ejection port allowing for easy access to fine tune your accuracy on the run.
The overall quality in the appearance and feel of the King Arms Thompson is noticeably better than the preceding models from CYMA yet is priced surprisingly close. If you are a war buff or simply want a unique AEG to take to your next skirmish, the King Arms Thompson is one gun you should add to your collection.
Included with the Thompson is an 8.4v 2000mah mini type battery pack, 300mah trickle charger and speed loader. Charge time: 6.6 hours
(Just FYI: The stock is able to accept the massive 8.4v 4200mah battery although the butt plate can not close the last couple of millimeters. However, if you were to knock out a couple of tabs inside of the stock it fits perfectly.)
