KWC is known for making some of the most powerful and rugged spring pistols on the market and with the introduction of the HPA series, these pistols are now even more desirable. The HPA offers the performance and feel of an Ultra Grade without the high price. If you are looking for a high performance spring pistol with rock solid durability that will not break your budget, the HPA series is what you want.

The SP2022 features a locking slide and open ejection port which is a rare for a KWC pistol. Also featured is a tactical white dot front sight, textured pistol grip and licensed Sig trademarks on the slide. It also has a full size magazine which at 24 rounds holds twice as much as the traditional KWC pistol magazine. The frame is railed for installing a laser or a flashlight. The outer barrel is completely metal which adds even more weight!

Officially licensed by Sig Sauer, the SP2022 features authentic trademarks visible on its slide, frame, grip, breech and even its magazine! This is probably one of the most detailed spring pistols we have seen to date.

5 out of 5- OMG, BUY IT!!!!

I have to say, this pistol was one of my very favorites and i still use it today based on it's realiability.

I upgraded as soon as this baby came ot from my old KWC 226, because basically, I wanted more rounds in my pistol before having to reload.

and accuracy is very good, but not perfect as both you and I know that nothing ever is perfect...but less about that!

The tactical sight is great for lining up your shot instead of having to equally space out the edges of the front's just put the dot in the center and you're all set!

I'll agree with anyone that when I first tried loading it, it DID feel kinda weird, almost like loading a mid-cap spring rifle, but I'm sure that you can eventually get used to it. JUST NEVER GET CAUGHT UP CLOSE WHEN YOU'RE EMPTY! THAT COULD COST YOU!

And there's nothing better than after you loaded your clip, cocked your gun and left on the slide lock, that after you reload your mag and release it, it'll chamber your first round almost effortlessly!

The little, umm, "groove" at the end of the mag makes it easy to pull out after you've spent your shots. So this can make up reload times in a jiff!

Just so you know, I haven't tested the rails on it for laser sights, so don't be SOOOOOOOOOOO encouraged to buy one, though I'm pretty sure one could fit somehow...

Overall, great gun and you must buy it!!!!

    5 out of 5- A new contender

The KWC SP2022 I feel is one of the lesser known spring pistols out there. When I first showed it to my friends none of them had ever seen, or even heard it before. Aside from those who said, "Whats KWC?" - Those who did know had the idea that it was just another spring pistol with an often jamming, 12 round "speed-load" (yea right) magazine, no hop-up and a smooth cocking mechanism. Much has changed since the days of yore and the Sig Pro 2022 has proven itself to be another contender for the performance spring pistol market.

Arriving in a small Cybergun box (bleh), the SP2022 has a very small profile. It's far smaller than an M9 and easily fits in your pocket. Full trademarks WITHOUT black glue or tape over them are included. Printed on the left side of the slide in plain font is, "SIG SAUER SP2022". While I never cared for the style, it is historically correct. On the right side of the slide is a serial number reading "SP 206 005 GN",on the ejection port, "206005GN" and under gun just before the rail, "GA1032". It is complete with all details of the real deal and looks very pleasing to the eye. The orange tip is a piece of plastic at the end of the muzzle. (much better than something painted on) It rotates around freely so it doesn't snap off during shipping or game-play. I hardly notice it being there. On the back of the grip on both sides, "sigpro" is printed. It has minimal seem lines and the ones it does have are on the underneath side so you do not notice them. Overall the gun's style makes it very pleasing to look at, but nothing is perfect.

On the left side of the slide "Made in Taiwan" is printed in a box and on the right side, "Read manual before use" is present in a similar fashion. KWC's logo is also there. While I don't mind a manufacturer putting their logo, the warnings make me feel like I'm a toddler. It shouldn't be permanently fixed to the gun - especially in such a visible area. I was able to use some sandpaper and get rid of them, but the box it was printed in is still there. Looking at the right side of the hammer one can also see that the hammer is hollow. Whats up with that? It doesn't take that much effort for the manufacturer to fill in the hammer. Its just one more place for dirt to collect. Having rubberized grips would have been a nice touch but the textured plastic works fine. While its clear that the gun has a few aesthetic flaws they're not super noticeable and only a perfectionist will lose sleep over them.

If you've read any other reviews about this airsoft gun you've probably heard something along the lines of "lightweight" and "plastic". Ah, but this is the HPA version of the 2022. It has more weight than its non-HPA version. Most of it in the magazine. (I apologize for not giving you the exact weight - I don't have a small scale) It is still not what I would consider heavy, but it's definitely felt when it's in your hand. I am sure a real Sig Pro would weigh more, but come on, it is made out of plastic.

I do not believe a gun made out of mostly plastic should be heavy. Why? Because that means the weight is coming not from the build itself but added weights. The problem with adding weights is that it does nothing for the durability of the gun and makes it that much more prone to shattering into tiny pieces when you drop it. That said the plastic of the SP2022 is more of a blessing than a curse.

Pretty much everything you touch on this gun is made of plastic. The grip, magazine, slide, hammer, trigger, you name it is plastic. Its not that shiny plastic that has white insides when you snap it in half though - it's hefty. I've heard it is the same plastic used on gas guns. Weather that true or not it is definitely high quality and in my book quality plastic ranks higher than cheap metal. It's far more maleabe and much smoother translating to less friction and less cracks.

Overall the gun is very durable. There are no shaking parts and nothing that stands out as a liability. You can drop it time after time on a hard surface and still pick it up and fire a shot. It can easily pass as a backup pistol that you depend your life (airsoft life) on.

KWC can't seem to stop mentioning their new fancy-shmancy "BAX shooting system" the "Ultimate Accuracy System" What does that mean? I don't have a clue. For all I know its just marketing hype. But whatever they did when designing the pistol worked - and worked well.

The accuracy is pretty stunning considering the barrel is only around 2.5 inches long. I think having something to do with the barrel being made out of brass. Brass can get pretty smooth meaning less turbulence. Don't expect it to be hitting BB on top of BB. It isn't a rifle. But for a pistol its pretty darn good. A basketball pole from 100 feet away could be hit time and time again. Say bye-bye to knees, feet, or elbows sticking out of bunkers. A simple explanation for the accuracy is that it uses .2 gram BBs. Not those junky .12s that fly every which way that too many spring pistols use.

The hop up system says its configured for 0.2g BBs. I had mixed feelings about it. Most 0.2s flew pretty straight but some either curved up or down just randomly. It's possible that is just the break in period but for distance shots it can get annoying. I'm hoping the issue will clear itself but for now it is kind of mediocre.

Cocking is very nice. Since the gun has quite a bit of power it requires a good amount of effort to cock. All the effort needed is overshadowed by how smooth of a stroke it is. It is just one continuous stroke. No catches or rough spots. Thats a good thing since it is a bit picky with how you cock it. Make sure you pull it all the way back and let go. Inconsistent cocking will definitely jam it up.

But thats not the end of the world because you have an open ejection port. Just pull the slide back and tip it over to let the BB out. Also included is a locking slide. After you shoot your last BB when you pull the slide back (if you pull hard enough) it will stay back. Refill your magazine, release the slide catch, and your good to fire another shot.

The magazine release was a problem for me since I am left handed. Twice when playing with my friends I bumped it and there went the magazine. You can solve this by filing down the mag release button so it isn't exposed as much.

Theres nothing too special to note about the trigger pull. Its brisk, smooth and straight back. There is no wobble or side-play. My only gripe is that there is a little travel before your shot actually fires. That travel pretty much goes away as you get used to it.

Sights are a simple rear notch with a front pin. The pin has a white dot put on to make low-illuminated shooting easier. It also helps speed up your target acquisition. For mine the dot was a little off from the groove in the front sight which kind of annoyed me.

The 2022 is a great performer. That is one of the reasons why I bought it. Just like a performance car, it handles well, has plenty of power, and it gets you exactly where you want to go all in a small package.

Special note should be made of the magazine. It is not like any I have seen before on a pistol. (Thats not to say they don't exist else ware)

I absolutely hated the 1911 magazines by KWC. They never worked for me. You have one hand putting BBs in with a speed loader that doesn't fit into the slot, One finger on the lever letting BBs flow into the shaft, and one finger holding down the spring so the BBs don't go flying into your face. And for all of that work you only get 12 shots, one of which will probably jam wasting another 2-3 to clear it. The 2022 separates itself from the herd by using a completely different magazine. Its like the UHC 1911 in that you just put the BBs in and it holds them. However, it also has a button you can press to release the BBs. It also has a convenient port that your speed loader fits right into.

It holds 24 shots, a perfect number since it is divisible by 4 - The number of BBs put out by a complete push of the speed loader. 6 pushes and you're full. Simple as that.

My only complaint is that you can't find spare mags! If it breaks then you need a new gun. The gun is easy enough to reload on the field and holds enough shots for a small-medium game but not much beyond that.

I give it a 9/10. I am extremely pleased with KWC's Sp2022. It is very different than your average quality spring pistol. With decent looks, excellent reliability, amazing performance, and a uniqueness that stands out in a crowd of M9s, 1911s, and MK23s. A good user can leave their opponent wondering "what gun is that they're using?". I received many comments about me getting a lucky shot. I am pleased to say it wasn't luck. It is the perfect pistol for someone who wants performance but does not want to conform to the masses and get what is commonly accepted as "the best spring pistol you can get"

    5 out of 5- Nice

The HPA series pistols are the best. While most of KWC's spring pistols ony feature an open ejection port, this one has a locking slide as well. The HPA series pistols are the best. Buy A

5 out of 5- Very Nice Gun

I bought this gun from a local store and it performs beautifully. The power is decent and it is very accurate. It has a nice feel and smooth cocking mechanism. The 24-round magazine helps as well. Overall this is a nice springer.

    Mag capacity
    Nice feel
    Locking Slide

Jams a little bit(very easy to unjam though, simply pull the slide back and dump the jammed BBs)
Pretty loud (which is arguably a con :P)

    Thanks for reading, bye

5 out of 5- Great all around

This fella is a really good gun hands down. Whether you are new to airsoft or if you are a veteran, you will not be disappointed with it. Despite its relatively small size, it's incredibly acurate with a significant punch at its maximum range (100 feet is an understatement). My friend took apart this gun to the nuts and bolts and we figured out what it is REALLY made of. The most impressive part is the special polycarbonate piston which increases the life of this gun. Another cool yet useful feature is the white-dot combat sight which is very useful in tight spots.
    Hope all this helped.

    Peace out & Rock on

5 out of 5- Excellent springer

KWC knocks it outta the park with this springer, if springers are your thing. It shoots harder and is great for indoors, CQB or even EXTREME close ranges in the forest. It's built light but it's tough and breaks down like the real pistol. It was an honest to goodness good buy and a welcome addition to my collection. It's a refreshing change from all the mk23's m92's and glocks.

    Shoots hard
    Tactical Sights
    SIG styling
    accurate within range
    realistic takedown

    Mediocre range
