Measuring in at just over four feet long and boasting a high muzzle velocity, the BRAVO BV7 is a monster of a rifle which is every bit as mean as it looks. With awesome power and range this bolt action rifle is an impressive edition to our sniper rifle arsenal. This rifle started out as a WELL MB-07B which BRAVO has taken and refined to make this awesome rifle ever better. The fit and finished is noticeably improved and they have cleaned up the rough edges on the mag well making reloads a much smoother process.

Looking at the BV7 you will find that it is mainly built out of metal with the only exceptions being the synthetic stock and rubber butt pad. This high metal content gives the rifle a realistic heft and rigid structure for a stable shooting platform. Its long barrel is fluted and features a nicely detailed muzzle brake. Atop the receiver is a solid metal weaver mounting deck which will accept practically any optic of your choosing. Looking forward under forend you will find a shorter weaver rail which is useful for attaching a bi-pod, laser or flashlight.

Cycling the bolt is exceptionally smooth and surprisingly easy considering the amount of power this rifle produces. Squeeze the trigger and this bruiser will send a heavyweight .4g streaking downrange at over 340 fps! The effective range which the rifle could consistently engage a torso sized target was 220 feet making it highly capable of outranging most any assault rifle on the market.

Comes with: Metal folding Bi-Pod and speed loader.

Shown with but NOT included: 5th Gen 3-9X50 Mil-Dot Red/Green Illuminated Scope and Weaver Full Size Scope Mount.

Please note: There is no manual included for this rifle. It comes in two sections and does require some assembly. Simply fit the barrel group into the stock and then secure them by installing two bolts. The shorter bolt is installed into the hole under the front of the stock at the end of the accessory rail. The larger bolt is installed into the hole just behind the magazine well.

If you are getting one of your first Sniper Rifles please take a moment and read the following Hints and Tips for Sniper Rifles.

WARNING: This rifle comes with a nylon rifle sling. Do not use the sling as we have found that it is cheaply made and can break under the weight of this rifle.

5 out of 5- Decent Starter rifle and upgrade platform

I am probably the first person to buy one of these from shortys, I picked one up the other day.

    Opening the Box:

Upon opening the box I was greeted with a visually pleasing flat black stock and a semi-flat outer barrel assembly with a metallic grey receiver. On the not so pleasing side was the sling and the cheap bb's that came with the gun.

Like I mentioned, the gun comes with a cheap sling and bb's but it also comes with a nice bi-pod, one mag, jam rod, and a speed loader. The rest of the parts are all quality.

A side not on the bipod, to unlock its legs push the round nob towards the direction of the legs.

    General impressions:

The gun was really easy to put together. Just put the supplied screws into the bottom rail and into the back of the stock. The smaller screw goes into the rail mount and the longer one goes into the back hole in the stock. The plastic seems pretty decent and the metal parts are okay. They are a lower grade aluminum so be careful not to drop the gun because it may dent or chip.

My gun's muzzle break came with a crack and soon broke off. This is proof that the metal is pretty brittle and will not last long through heavy wear and tear.

    Upgrade Potential:

If you are planning on leaving your gun in its stock form this section won't matter to you, but if you aren't then read on.

THIS GUN IS NOT A 100% VSR-10 CLONE!!!!!!!

The stock cylinder is too small to fit vsr compatible pistons so in order to upgrade to a better piston you will need to buy a new cylinder set or get a custom made piston for it.

The trigger mech seems to be compatible with VSR parts so you should be able to get new gears and all that.

The Barrel is upgradeable with VSR-10 cut barrels NOT AEG barrels, and also you may have to get custom made barrel spacers because the outer barrel is too small for standard VSR barrel spacers.

Ok shortys has the gun clocked in at 495 with .2's and I'm pretty sure this is accurate. As far as accuracy goes I'm getting 5 inch groups at 60 feet with .40's which is pretty terrible but this may be due to some factors.

The gun is greased way too much so in order to prove accuracy you should clean your hop up bucking out with hot soap and water and thoroughly clean the inside of your barrel. Once this is done you should be getting pretty decent accuracy and range. The gun comes with one crappy foam barrel spacer that does nothing, but if you make two out of tape, you up your range about 20 to 30 feet.

    Final Word:

Overall this is an excellent gun for those who are looking to get into sniping or looking for a decent project rifle. Just make sure you take the time to clean it and prep it so it will function to its best potential.

5 out of 5- Reach out and touch someone

I have been an avid airsofter for the past 3 years now and have a replica of just about any gun you can think of to have, including 3 sniper rifles. About 3 days ago I purchased this rifle at the walk-in store, and all i can say is wow.

The first thing that caught my attention was the fluted barrel on this rifle. With none of the other snipers shortys carries boasting this awesome feature, it is definitley a huge peice of eye candy for this gun. Another piece of cosmetics that adds to the appeal of this gun is the muzzle break. Granted on an airsoft gun it really has no purpose that is known to me (it could have one but idk), but it does add a great look to the rifle. Also this rifle is longer than the rest at shortys so you have a longer barrel which makes it more accurate. With RIS systems being an industry standrd now this rifle has one so it will allow you to use any sight you so wish on it, even though this is just expected now it is still a good thing to have placed on it. The gun's only major downfall is its plastic stock, and altkough it has a nice feel it is still plastic, but this is easily looked past when you put some rounds downrange.

Now onto the thing that really matters and that is this weapon's performance. On tests with this weapon I used KSC High polish .3's and and a UTG Tacedge 4x40 illuminted scope. Targets were placed at 50, 100, 200, and 300 feet. The rifle got groupings of about 4 inches when properly zeroed out to the 200 foot target, and at the 300 when adjusted to hit it we were looking at about a foot groupings. Excellent stats for an airsoft rifle. Shortys claims a 495 fps with .2's and about 340 but I'm not sure with what bb's. My chrono read about a 450 with 2's and the 3's were around a steady 370 the entire test. The one thing that really caught my attention when testing this rifle was how steady the trigger pull was. The pressure was just right for a sniper, a nice and smooth squeeze, flawless all the way back. You really don't even know when you're about to hit its release point until you are suprised that it fires, which is the way it should be. The action was amazingly smooth and with the fps this rifle boasts, you're amazed that racking the bolt is that easy. All and all this gun performed extemely well.

Cosmetic featues (barrel and muzzle break)
    Smooth action
    Great trigger pull
    Ris integrated
Range (tear people up at 300 feet with an airsoft gun, unheard of)

Plastic stock (Nice feel but still plastic)

If you are in the market for a sniper, then this is the one to get. At $120 the price for such an amazing rifle is incredibly low, and it is a better system than all the other rifles shortys has. To not buy this and pick one of the other rifles they carry would be a crime.

5 out of 5- Good solid Sniper Rifle

I have a UTG MK96 sniper rifle and this rifle. I tend to be a bit more comfortable with my MK96.

This rifle is a bit faster with .2gm BB's, but not as accurate. I'd suggest using .3gm BB's. I just thought the rifle performed better with size BB. I have not used it in a battle yet, but it's is a good sniper rifle. The Mb07-B is also 2LBS lighter than my MK96. Which helps so much when I'm running. I do wish the range was better. Overall, I'm glad I bought one.

    Nice Bi-pod
    FPS is incredible
    Good starter rifle

    Too much plastic for me

4 out of 5- Read This Review

    Hey guys,

I got this gun yesterday and there are many things which I would like to cover, so let's get started.

I picked up the box for this gun off of my front porch and was immediately dismayed. I heard sand and little pebbles within the packaging, as so many others who have had this gun had warned. I opened the box further to find the gun, bi-pod, sling, speed-loader, and magazine (in the gun). OPEN THIS GUN OUTSIDE AND LEAVE THAT BOX THERE!

*This sand is not the fault of SHORTY USA. The sand is the fault of those cheap ****** (manufacturer).

    Cleaning and Troubleshooting:

From Spence's review of this weapon I knew that I should not fire the gun out of the box. There was simply too much grit and sand in the weapon. The reason for all of this sand is a hard, coagulated sand block in the stock of the gun. Seriously... it is in a torn bag... just a block of sand. In order to get this out one must remove the butt pad. Well... the butt pad is glued on. So i had to destroy my butt pad in order to get that massive sand chunk out, which was done by a thorough smashing on the ground. The stock is slightly scratched, but at least I got the sand out. I proceeded to take the stock and clean it under my sink with soap. This helped immensely.

I took the entire gun apart piece by piece and thoroughly cleaned it. For directions on how to take this gun apart look on youtube. CasualAirsoft has a good enough guide that should get you through the process. PLEASE!!! Do not fire this gun until you have cleaned it. It will just break after a while.

    Home-made Modifications:

While you are in the gun you may as well do some mods to make it shoot a bit better.

First, get yourself some teflon tape. Wrap the cylinder head with this stuff.

Then get electrical tape or paper. Wrap it around the inner barrel to make barrel spacers. This will greatly improve you accuracy.

I do not own a chronograph; however, I trust what shorty says about the FPS. It is rather high. This accuracy is rather good as well. I am able to hit things that I want to hit. I haven't tested the range much.

***Do not get this gun if you aren't handy enough to take it apart and get it back together soundly. It is hard, but if you think you will screw up, don't bother.

*** This weapon ***NEEDS*** to be taken apart in order to be cleaned. Seriously... you have to clean it.

The gun is actually really quite good for the money after you have cleaned it and given it a bit more kick through some upgrades. Here are some simple pros and cons.

    High FPS
    Good Range
    Pretty Accurate (Use above .28's)
    Really cool looking.
    Strong metal outer barrel.
    Huge! (Intimidating.)

I don't even want to think about what I had to go through to get this gun working how it should...
The box was so damn crappy.
The butt pad is gone, thankfully I had an extra that I slapped on there. If you don't have an extra butt pad, don't get this.

If you aren't handy, don't have extra butt pads, don't want to deal with some crappy *** in your box, or won't clean this gun, DON'T GET IT!!!!!!!!! Spend your money on a TSD M700 (look it up), a JG BAR-10, or a UTG m324. They are all easier to handle.

If you are handy, have extra stuff, and are willing to take care of this gun, it becomes better than anything else you can get for the price. Perform some simple mods and you have one accurate and powerful stock weapon.

While that may have been a lot to read, it is necessary. If anyone gets this gun without looking at what I have written here, they have made a mistake. The information here is what I would have wanted to see before I got this gun. However, I do not regret my purchase.

Thank you shorty for the quick shipping, and thank you those who have read this far. Please rate this review helpful, I think it is quite.

5 out of 5- exactly why it's rated number 1!

recently bought this rife, added the utg $34.99 scope, and right out of the box i loved how easy it was to assemble and disassemble! not only easy to work on, i sited it in within 30 min. of goofing around with a few of my friends.

it would be nice to have an extra mag but with the speed loader they give you, reloading the 30rd mag is a walk in the park and can be done in 30 sec.

at 80 yards i was hitting a 4" circle with .3s at a ratio of around 6:10 shots...the rest of them were inches off!

overall i couldn't have asked for anymore from a gun that only costs $120!

5 out of 5- Good sniper

This is the first sniper i've owned. first of it is a HUGE gun, probably 4 ft long but the long barrel gives it amazing accuracy if you use .40. it lowers fps but accuracy and range is what a sniper is really about. I also bought the UTG 3-9X50 and I've been hitting a torso sized target every time from 120 feet away. if this is the first sniper you are getting or the 15th i would still recommend it.

    Buy this Gun! Teameric FTW!

5 out of 5- BEAST AIRSOFT GUN

OK i got this gun today and i must say it is by far the best gun i have ever had. It has amazing accuracy and some crazy power. I love the fact of how realistic it is. At about 60 to 70 feet i was just playing around with it and i hit about a 2 inch group, and i was using light bb's as well! The only thing that really pissed me off is that when i got this gun when i opened the box it was full of sand. I blew it out with air and it had no affect on the gun; after that, beside scratching the bolt which really doesn't matter because it's not a real gun. Well that's about it if you're looking for a gun with great accuracy and some knocking down power, this gun is definitely what you are looking for!

5 out of 5- All my friends want this rifle now

Just bought this gun last week and have been avidly playing with it since I received it. First off this gun just looks great, it's big, it has the cool muzzle break, and it looks very realistic. Performance wise this gun is amazing, it outdistances my friends M324 by at least 50 feet and its accuracy is dead on, (even though i haven't mounted a scope on it yet). The spring pulls back easy for the fps of the gun and the long barrel equals great accuracy. I drew blood multiple times from about 15 to 25 feet away (using .28s). The only problem is that it occasionally jams and the clip is somewhat difficult to get in the first few times you use it. Overall a great gun.

Good quality definitely worth the price
    Light for its size
    Looks great

Could be too fast for casual friendly fights (draws blood from 15 feet away)
    Occasionally jams
Shorty doesn't carry extra clips (can be found on different websites)

5 out of 5- a very good gun!!!!!!!!!!!

First off i own this gun; ok now on to the review. I opened the box to find the rifle in 2 pieces, a nice bi-pod, a cheap sling, and some cheapo bbs. after firing the gun i was impressed by the power, range, and accuracy. i am not some super airsofter but i do enjoy it very much. in my opinion this is a great gun but I've seen better.

I'm not good with bi-pods but the extendy thing on mine won't stay in the right place. can someone help me? Thanks.
