Spare Mag KWC 1911 Spring - It does what it is supposed to, so I guess it gets a 5

Reviewer: strick284
Rank: SGM
Location: Willow Spring, NC
read all my reviews

(The two pack is a better value than the single one, if you don't care that they're clear instead of black.)

What can I say, everybody needs extra mags. They only hold 12 rounds, so if you have a pistol that uses them, you're going to need more than one magazine, even if they are the speed-loading type. It's nice to be able to just hold the spring down, push the tab, and pour the BBs in. But what's not nice is when the tab gets pushed in your pocket, or in your mag pouch, and the BBs spray out of the magazine. Then when you reload you just end up slapping in an empty magazine, dry firing a couple times in confusion, and getting shot while you fumble around for another mag. Also, if you are in a high stress situation (and if you play airsoft like I do, you will quite frequently find yourself in those situations) then it is possible to hit the tab on the edge of the magazine well as you slide it into the gun. That will spray all the BBs out of the magazine and into your mag well, jamming your pistol up. Also not good.

Unfortunately, none of these problems have anything to do with the quality of the magazines. They are simply due to design decisions made by KWC. So I can't fairly give these magazines a bad rating, because they are just working like they are supposed to. I guess if you like the KWC pistols, you just have to deal with the magazines.

So what this review boils down to is this:
If you're here, you probably already have a pistol that takes this type of mag, and I won't be dissuading you from using this type. And I don't blame you, KWC makes quality pistols, and you have to use these speed load type mags with their 1911s. So go ahead, buy some extras. You will need them. But take this review as a warning: you better figure out some type of speed-loading-magazine-proof carrying system, and you better practice your reloads. Otherwise you will find yourself afflicted with KWC BB spray syndrome, and you will get shot many, many times...

UTG 120 rd Speed Loader - If you aren't convinced yet...

I have read a lot, and I haven't seen a negative one yet. Every other airsoft gun for sale at any given sporting goods store comes with one of these. Everybody has them and uses them frequently, and I have never heard somebody say an unkind word about them. In fact, I use mine every time I airsoft, and if I thought they were going to quit making them any time soon, I would buy a hundred of them. They are cheap, durable, and useful, and they are slowly becoming universal. Whoever invented this thing is a stinking genius. Just look at how many different types of magazines they can be used with. To put it simply, they just work. That's all there is to it. But then again, I don't need to tell you how great they are. You've already heard it a million times. If you haven't been persuaded to lay down the measly seven dollars for one of these already, then chances are that reading one more doting review from me probably isn't going to do it for you either.

So I plead with you: if you have a single ounce of sanity within your body, just BUY IT ALREADY!!!

UHC M9 US Military Heavy Airsoft Spring Pistol Black - Decent for the money

Reviewer: strick284
Rank: SGM
Location: Willow Spring, NC
read all my reviews

(four star rating takes price into account)

I don't really recommend spring pistols as a primary (as a matter of fact I don't know anyone who does), but if you are just starting out, this could be a decent first gun.

It has good accuracy for a spring pistol, and the price is about right for what you're getting. However, the gun is not very durable. I don't know if there is a single metal part in the thing. It is only heavy because of weights in the grip and magazine. It seems pretty flimsy overall, with plenty of body flex and a thin, fragile-feeling slide. Also, the magazine always had some problems with the spring getting stuck. The gun does have decent velocity though, and you can use .2g BBs to satisfactory effect. The iron sights are adequate, and an open ejection port is a plus. Sadly, I never found out exactly how long the gun would last before suffering a catastrophic breakage.

Because I didn't like it very much, I didn't really feel any apprehension about damaging it, and I took it apart out of curiosity. When I got the slide off, the main plunger spring shot a vital piece out across the room, and I never found it. So now it is sitting disassembled in a cardboard box in my room. Somehow, I don't miss it...

So to make a long story short, this isn't a bad gun for the money, and it could make a decent starter. But you could buy a worlds-better KWA pistol for just ten dollars more. And that's what you should do if you have your heart set on a great spring pistol.

On the other hand, if you want a really cool realistic primary with top performance, then what the heck are you doing looking at spring pistols?!?!

KWC HPA Colt Delta Elite Softair Spring Pistol Black - Best spring pistol; great for the money

Reviewer: strick284
Rank: SGM
Location: Willow Spring, NC
read all my reviews

(I originally wrote this review for the KWC Gold Cup pistol, but I copied and pasted it here (with some slight modifications) because they are the same gun, simply painted a different color (and I have owned both of them)).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I first got this gun, it was super accurate and it never jammed. Plus it had good velocity and it looked pretty cool too.

I have had it for over 3 years now, and it's still going strong. I've used it as either a primary or a secondary in every battle I've been in since. It has lost a little bit of accuracy, and it jams sometimes. Plus some of the paint has scratched and the safety has stopped working. But those are the only problems I have had. I shot thousands of rounds through it, dry fired it, dropped it, duct taped it, and carried it in a holster for hours on end. But after all the abuse I put it through, it still works great. You can depend on this gun, believe me. It is mostly plastic, but it is very strong and durable, with almost no body flex. If you're doubting the quality of this gun, let me reassure you. This was my first airsoft gun. It has outlasted 4 other spring pistols and a UTG spring shotgun. I now play with a gas NBB pistol as a primary, and I wouldn't dream of carrying any other spring gun as my secondary.

Pros:

Good power (for a spring pistol)
Won't break for a long time
Speed loading mag
Smooth cocking action
Strong body
Good sights
I like 1911s, but I guess it depends on what you like.

Cons:

Small mag
I guess there are others, but none that I can complain about at this price.

Overall, this is a great buy for the price. Obviously I can't recommend a spring pistol as an overall good primary for most airsoft wars, but if you want a spring pistol, then this is the one to get. It is as good as any other springer on this site for the same price.

(But if you're willing to spend just a little bit more money, just buy a gas gun for 45 bucks, you'll be much happier :) )

Sorry for the longness, hope I helped!

UTG M87LA Spring Airsoft Shotgun Full Stock - Good gun for the money, but won't last forever...

Reviewer: strick284
Rank: SGM
Location: Willow Spring, NC
read all my reviews

Let me start off by saying that, for the money, this is a decent airsoft gun.

Looks:
It has a good realistic look to it, especially if you like the tactical stuff. I didn't like the look of the rail system, so I just took it off. Overall, it has a decent matte black finish and looks very realistic.

Construction:
This gun is mostly plastic, but the body is still very strong. There is a little flex, but at this price, it's acceptable. The pump was smooth at first, but it gradually got sticky and scratchy feeling, and the trigger became really stiff over time. (Note: I did not slam fire it.) Overall, I would have like more metal, and more durability.

Internals/Performance:
I don't think the fps is really 315. It's more like 260 with a .2g BB. But that's still very good in a $40 spring shotgun. The only bad part is that almost all the internals are plastic. So if you play every weekend, don't expect this gun to last more than a few months. I used to play once or twice a month with this gun, and it didn't even last a whole year.

Overall:
Really, it was a great gun for the money. I have used several, and they have served me well. A bunch of my of my friends use different variants of this gun, and they are very happy with them as well. Just don't expect it to last very long with frequent use. $40 mostly plastic spring guns aren't going to last very long; it's just a fact of life. If you have your heart set on a UTG shotgun in this price range, I would suggest the SOS version with the collapsible stock instead. But if you're willing to spend just a little more money, you could get a nice CO2 powered NBB pistol from Shorty's that will outperform this shotgun. Heck, the Crosman Airmag C11 ... outlasted this gun. Plus, I just like pistols. But hey, it's up to you.

I would have given it five stars if the durability was better. It's not the best out there, but if you really like the design, it'll work.

Pros
.Small size
.ROF
.Mag Size vs a pistol

Cons
.Range
.Accuracy

Also, the grip is a little awkward. not worth saying it's a con, because it could be comfortable for others; i just don't like it much.
i would recommend this as a gun for backyard wars or as a secondary.

I have used about 2 bags of these with shotguns/spring pistols. They have the same accuracy as the other high polish .2 that shorty sells. I think the M3 with these was a little bit faster and more accurate...but regardless they still performed beyond my expectations.

If you play outdoors these are a must...since most people do. Just spend a few more bucks than regular .2 and get quality ammo and save the environment at the same time!!!!

Umarex Walther P99 Special Operations Airsoft Spring Pistol
Extra Kit - Surprisingly Decent

I really just wanted a cool little plinker and I got all my money's worth from it.

Appearance: This might be where the gun really lags. The most obvious part of the gun is the dull plastic that covers the whole gun. There is not a lot of metal on this gun and it doesn't bother me too much. For all the time I had this gun it has never broken on me. The detailing is ok. There are safety warnings in the side and the fake breach/grips aren't spectacular. You get what you pay for but I wasn't concerned with looks. Overall it does look like a really sweet, small airshow gun. The silencer looks cool and is easy to thread but I'll talk about that later. The firing pin indicator also is pretty sweet. No more double loading BBs...

Construction: Well, it's cheap. The plastic really does have a lot of play and I can easily squeak it in my hands. It also will come apart if you knock out a few pins...yes pins. Also, the quality isn't special. The threads and grade of materials makes it really light. The magazine adds a lot of weight to it...but even with that it's still light. Oh and the magazine though is very nice. I can easily load BBs and the reserve is fantastic. One of the cool things with the gun also is the locking slide. It does work but I have to use the lever to unlock it now. The grips are very nice and textured and the sights are great for quick aiming as well. I also like the safety...it's easy to unload and it can work for lefties! The suppressor though isn't good. The threads are messed up and it can never shoot straight...it also wobbles so you can never judge where it will go also...

Shooting: I've seen better. The range and power is meek. I get about a 3 inch spread at 30ft. Other guns can be spot on at that distance. After about 60ft...the .2s barely reach and .12 curve hard. The hop-up is insane and that's why it can get to 80ft but with no power. It's at most a backyard skirmish gun. It really doesn't hurt that much. Aiming, loading, and cocking are all very easy. The drawback isn't smooth but easy and short. I can do everything fast and the pistol seems very agile to me...it seems like a top choice for James Bond...

Conclusion: If you want a cool little plinker gun this is it. Despite the lower quality...it is a decent gun that has lasted me. For the same or cheaper price i think Shorty offers better springers in my opinion. This gun though does come with a lot of goodies...so it might be worth it if you want to get an entry springer. I had a lot of fun with it and it's still my back-up to my back-up. It has, though ,lost its range and power...but I think it was due to my negligence and user mistreatment...

until this echo 1 ats shotgun came out, there wasn't really any shotgun that could take out players with aeg`s without having to camp all the time. i really love it. this shotgun ALWAYS works and i feel i can trust it 100% any day, any where. i actually have better range and accuracy than most aeg`s, but the downside is the lack of rate of fire, so i have to aim better instead, which is okay. i have used it for about one year (that's around 50 matches) and i'm getting more skilled for each time. i rarely get shot by aegs. i have nothing bad to say about this shotgun; it's the perfect alternative to aeg`s and i think it's more fun to use anyway.

some people say it's expensive but i don't know so. i would pay twice that amount - anything to avoid aeg`s. thank you echo 1!
I have had the same one for over 5 years now, and I still use it. It is fully adjustable, as it has been with me since the 8th grade as I have grown.

The side holster will fit almost any sidearm up to the MK23. Wrap around pouches can hold anything, such as a second handgun, extra ammo, rifle magazines, or even a bottle of water. The three extra pistol mag pouches are perfect for your secondary as well. The padding on the right shoulder is great to comfortably rest your primary weapon when firing. The light padding will also help the weapon "form" to you for a more accurate and "becoming one" feel of the weapon. The belt is an added bonus, but the belt loops will hold a larger web-type belt, which is great if you already have one. The inner zippers are also able to store "hidden surprises".

This vest is perfect for all players and a must have. Buy this Vest

Pros:
*Good FPS. first time I shot it point blank at the shipping box it came in, and it shot straight through it. I was impressed. it lost power after a few rounds.
*Easy dis-assembly. all you need to do is move the slide lock (non-functional) out of the frame, pull the trigger and your slide comes off. most parts are fixed and cannot be removed so don't expect to upgrade.
*working safety.
*Good accuracy. it shoots good groups.
*Trademarks

Cons:
*No open ejection port or slide lock.
*Blaze orange plug falls off easily, so if you want to keep it I would suggest you glue it on.
*It's marketed by cybergun.
*Like others stated, the magazine is a bit unconventional. it feels like you are loading a mag of an AEG.

Procedure for loading the magazine:
*clear your weapon and make sure it's unloaded, eject the magazine, put it on safe and put it away.
*there is a follower on the right side, slide it all the way down till it locks.
*On top of the magazine there is a feed lever, hold it open and pour in BB's, this actually makes loading quite easy and fast.
*when it's loaded, release the follower by pushing a button on the left of the mag.
It's the gun not the mag - get over it. That being said, it depends on what you're using it for. If you're using the hi cap, any stealth factor is blown out the window as it will rattle if you've used any ammo, where as with the reg caps like this you could almost jump up & down and not give away your position. I personally have 5 of these for normal use and 1 high cap (kept completely stuffed so the rounds don't rattle) as plan B or an emergency mag when it's time to put stealth to the wayside & make some noise. Just my 2 cents. take from it what you can & have fun out there.
When I can, I will use this as a primary or a secondary weapon. It is small enough for decent CQB situations, yet it is fully able to be used in a larger area. It is extremely realistic and even features factory markings on the receiver. The full metal body makes this weapon extremely durable. The battery is also easy to install, or even change if need be in a battle. You can even remove the foam padding in the stock to carry a second battery if needed. The FPS, full metal, and range make this weapon well worth the money. The RPM may be a little slow but it helps with trigger control and can even save ammo because you are less likely to "spray and pray". The only drawback i've noticed is the stock is plastic, and noting like wood. The hop-up wheel is also exposed.

Pros.
Amazing FPS
Great Range
The RPM helps with trigger control
Full metal, Very durable
Easy to use

Cons.
Plastic stock
Exposed hop-up wheel

This is a great gun and would be a useful weapon in any situation. If you can, buy it.
The second day I had it, it started to split in half. Then when i tighten the plastic screw piece on it, it starts spliting again. So i decided to put a heavy duty amount of electric tape and that helped but it still slightly splits. I still have it and it works for me with all the tape on it. If you want to get it go ahead, it works, but in the long run maybe a higher quality one will be more worth it.

But the coolest part about these BBs is that people respond differently to your playing in a park or something when you show them the bag. Our group has had a bunch of problems with hippies hating us for using KSCs that aren't really biodegradable...so the fact that these BBs are approved by the Department of Natural Resources makes everyone happier.

To sum up:

Great BBs
Nice Polish
Truly Biodegradable
Captain Planet Approved

They're a few more bucks than KSCs, but it's totally worth it if you ever play in places that aren't in total isolation.
So I went to Shorty's walk-in store yesterday to get this and the UTG 3-9x32 illuminated scope(Which I highly recommend), and they are the perfect pair.
I have only used this in one airsoft war, but have done quite a lot of target practice.
As soon as I got the scope sighted in, I put a hole in the lid of a peanut butter jar. Also I recommend getting .40 gram Madbull BB's. I nailed an egg from about 50 ft. And for all of you who complain that the bi-pod is wobbly, it's supposed to be like that so you can move the gun around without picking it up to move it the slightest bit. And that is how bi-pods on real sniper rifles are.

PROS:
Good weight
FPS
Good amount of metal
Comes with a bi-pod and speed loader
Comes withe 2 clips
Each clip holds 23 BB's

CONS:
Weight

It is fun to use with a frisbee to skeet shoot or carry as a secondary weapon for CQB. The best part of this shotgun is of course the tri-shot.

Pros.
Tri-Shot
Good Overall BB spread
Range is OK
Super Effective in CQB

Cons.
Pain to clean with 3 barrels
Eventually will need to replace shells
FPS could be better.

Overall, this is a great shotgun. If you can, get it. You will be glad you did. Only reason it does not get 5 Stars is due to the FPS(Again, could be better).

WE Tech Luger Full Metal Gas Blow Back Airsoft Pistol Short - It's a good Show Gun

Reviewer: S28Drum109
Rank: 1LT
Location: Poquoson, VA
read all my reviews

So a friend of mine has this gun, and I have been able to shoot this thing. Both him and I agree that it is really just a "Show" gun. It is really fun to shoot and no doubt about that. The only thing is to make sure you clean it a lot. The action is different so it's a little easier to get dirty.

Pros.
The FPS is ok with .2g BBs
The range is ok
It is fairly accurate.
Full metal is always good.
The action is really cool and realistic

Cons.
Will randomly jam, but not that often.
Needs to be cleaned often due to the different action.
Uses A LOT of gas.

It's a fun gun to use shooting off in the back yard, but in the woods or a large game, it's not very practical.

All in all, a fun gun.
It is very useful for matches if your enemy already l=knows where you are or you do not mind giving away your position. Also, it is very light and durable (made from aluminum unlike some companies which use plastic).Just one main problem, other than giving way your position this little thing eats the battery and for some reason my laser will start to fade even if i put new batteries in it. A little bit expensive but it is definitely worth it. Also, as stated in description it does come with sensor or press switch and, unstated, it comes with the special "screw drivers" required to screw it on to gun. Lastly, i found that if you put the laser on the mount the wrong way it can cause your laser to aim slightly to the side so, if you find that it is aiming incorrectly, take it out and put it in through the other side and all of your problems should be fixed.
Me and my friends have been air-softing frequently for the past few months, and I decided to get a gun. This was an original I had looked at, and after more research I decided this was it. I anticipated it like no other, and when it came I was very excited. Out of the box, I loved it, and couldn't wait to try it out in a battle. So me and my friends got together, and we went at it. This gun was brilliant for me. Though heavy, I'm a big guy so it fit well. The length was great due to the length of my own arms, the stock can be adjusted, and it was comfortable to hold. As for its performance, the FPS was just right, the accuracy was beautiful. The only problem is the ROF. Though it is OK, I would suggest buying a 9.6v battery in order to increase said ROF, as I plan too. Overall, my only complaint is the ROF. For a starter, this gun is great.
The first 50 rounds were really good, but then I began to notice problems with this gun.

The magazine is cheap, flimsy plastic. It was hard to load, and the spring catch in the mag would almost never work.

The power dropped significantly after the first 100 rounds or so.

It is not reliable at all. As posted in an another review, rounds will fall out of the mag.

It would also misfeed, and jam far too often. I would find myself constantly having to un-jam this weapon.

I would have to say the only good thing about this gun is that is is extremely accurate. Other than that, you can find a much better spring side arm.

Pros.
Accurate. That's about it.

Cons.
Feels cheap
Jams/ Misfeeds very often
Magazine is just all around bad.

Buy it if you want it, but you can find a much better spring handgun on this site.

Mauser SR Pro-Tactical Spring Airsoft Sniper Rifle - Amazing weapon

The scope and rings that come with it are very nice, not low quality at all. The only thing i didn't like about them, was that when the scope caps that come with it are on i cannot see clearly through the scope. But that's not a huge issue.

The bi-pod is nice and sturdy. It's the same design as any that come with any of the other sniper rifles. The mount on the front of the gun makes it very comfortable to use; it doesn't limit the movement like most of the other sniper rifles, specifically the m324, which i also own at the moment.

The large bolt is nice for using when it's cold and i have to wear gloves. The bolt moves smoothly and quietly. The magazine that comes with it said that it should hold 25 shots, but mine only holds 20; not a big deal, but not what i paid for.

The gun is very heavy, but as a sniper i don't need to move very much, so it doesn't really make a difference to me.

I have found that i need to carry a secondary weapon when playing with this gun; it hurts a lot at short ranges. So i have a Classic Army MP5 that i carry with me when playing. I would recommend not using that full sized MP5 like i have; an MP5K would work just as well.

This is the most accurate sniper rifle i have shot to this day. I started shooting .25g pellets out of it, and they are accurate and powerful. Then i tried some of the madbull .43g pellets that i bought to use with my m324, but they didn't work well with it. I shot the .43s and they are amazingly accurate. I can shoot a 3 inch pattern at 50 yards with them.

If anyone is looking for a starter or even if you play a lot and just want a nice sniper rifle, i would definitely recommend this gun.
Yes it is kind of loud but it's for between game fill ups. I've also recorded the time it takes to reload my MAG M4 130 rnd midcaps; it takes about 8 seconds for a complete reload. Which means that you can reload 8 mags in about 2 minutes.
I can hit a street sign from about 50 ft away 7/10 times. This pistol will not fail you; just make sure that you don't overload the mags because if you do then there is the possibility of the mag being forced out of the mag well and making it so the mag could fall out which is not good. Even with .2s the bbs will still go up a little so you have to use "kentucky windage" for that. The sights are kinda small so if you're aiming somewhere that's completely dark then you might not see where you're aiming.

Hope this helped! :)
First off, I do not personally own this, but I have used it multiple times (more than my friend has actually)and I love it. I would definitely invest in one. It's perfect for those tight situations where you need to re-load or re-wind your mag and you have multiple (or one) enemy approaching you. Or if you're like me, use it as a full-blown assault weapon. Depending on the type of grenade you use, it will unleash hell on your opponents before they know what hit them. It still works great in the cold too!

WAR STORY: Last weekend I was with my team, and we were facing a bunch of our friends (18 vs. 7 to be exact, we were the 7) and my friend gave this to me to use, and I lent him my Mk. 1 Carbine (great gun) for a few rounds. Yes, I did run around with only this launcher because it was entertaining. Reloading is a pain, so get multiple grenades if you can afford them, but it doesn't take THAT long to reload completely (I can do it in under a minute). We were playing king of the hill, and my team was on one side of this barn, I was on the other side, and they provided covering fire, I rushed the hill and popped this bad boy off on 4 guys up there, they were all crying in pain ready to surrender. Later that match (no more king of the hill), I was hiding in an old grain silo, and ambushed 3 separate guys, 3 separate times (more time to master the reloading) and then a 4th guy came around, and I wasn't even finished reloading yet, but I put the empty shell back in and held it to his face, and he surrendered without knowing the shell was empty, so the intimidation factor is outstanding. If someone sees you coming at them with this, they will be afraid. Who wants to get showed with bb's anyways? It hurts! Just ask the other team.
My only complaint is the mags. I have two extra mags, but the seals are going bad, and $30 for another extra is a cost I don't want to have to pay... It just fits right in my hand as well, and I have pretty big hands, so that's hard to find for me. On to the performance.

It's a great sidearm. It will leave welts (not sure exact fps) around 50-60 feet. This thing is a beast. You can unload the 26 rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger, and when you do, you feel like a BAMF. Although not recommended for use in cold weather, because the chamber will freeze up if you fire too fast. It's really accurate too. I can engage man sized targets and hit the torso at approximately 100 feet. If you can aim high and let it (the bb) fall, you can even hit farther than that accurately, with some practice.

All in all, this is a great investment, and this thing has never once let me down in the years of service I've used it. (That's a lot considering I'm on a team.)

KWC HPA Colt Gold Cup Softair Pistol Silver - Best spring pistol,; great for the money

Reviewer: strick284
Rank: SGM
Location: Willow Spring, NC
read all my reviews

When I first got this gun, it was super accurate and it never jammed. Plus it had good velocity and it looked pretty cool too.

I have had it for over 3 years now, and it's still going strong. I've used it as either a primary or a secondary in every battle I've been in since. It has lost a little bit of accuracy, and it jams sometimes. Plus some of the paint has scratched and the safety has stopped working. I shot thousands of rounds through it, dry fired it, dropped it, duct taped it, and carried it in holster for hours on end.

Strong body
Good sights
I like 1911s, but I guess it depends on what you like

Cons:

There are a few problems with it. For example, if you are a smaller person this is a big gun. I also HATE the spin on the bottom. The bb's start to spread on fully automatic. I personally do not like the sights. Now to the good things. It's is a really cool gun; if your a big WWII person this is great. It also hurts A LOT. The magazines are also very cheap for how much it holds. $25.00 and it can hold 450 bb's. I also love the weight and the wood back. It is pretty realistic. Also (this is history class) the German soldiers that used these all said this was an elite weapon but it did not come in time to make it. Overall I would definitely buy this weapon.
They feed well, especially with some help from mr. lube. Being plastic, these are very light and carrying 7 or eight in a vest isn't so bad. With a metal mag, it would be much heavier, but the mags would be more durable.

With that being said, I am fine with them being plastic, which makes them cheaper, and hey...they get the job done.

I personally love mid caps because there is no winding involved and I can be more stealthy because the bbs aren't rattling around all the time.

I say these are stealthier than high caps, more realistic and fun to have seven or eight mags, reloading here and there, unlike mr. high cap, which in my opinion is lame :(

Overall, great mags for the price

Go nutz and get four or five or maybe more!!
Depending on your fps output, different weight bbs are of the utmost importance. For example, don't use .12s in your 500 fps sniper rifle. I'd say if your gun is shooting around 350-380 fps, then .23s could work. Again, i say you decide because wind factors and other upgrades like a tight bore in your gun might affect the accuracy too. Also, adjusting your hop up will be required too in order to be shooting very accurately.

Pros
high grade bbs at a good price
don't jam in your gun
.23s increase accuracy
less affected by wind than a .2 is
echo 1

cons
none--just remember, make sure you know whats right for your gun...for some .2s others .25s, etc.

Hope this helped
I used the .28s in my m324 and they greatly helped with accuracy. These .25s are great for the price and will help you gain that extra bit of range and accuracy if you adjust your hop up right.

Recommended for high powered gas guns and aegs that can handle the heavier bbs. I used these in my m15a4 but found that the accuracy was not great, but no jams and functioned fairly well. Only thing is shooting at 425; i wanted to increase my accuracy a little more and with my tightbore barrel i was achieving good groupings with .28 bbs.

With that said, these are great with aegs shooting around 350-400 fps. Despite that these travel slower than .2s and .23s, they will hit your target which is mainly your goal.

Overall, high quality bbs for a great price. Won't jam in your gun and won't burn a hole in your pocket either.
Hope this helped with your decision...
This kid was pretty small and if the gun had a mouth then it would eat this little boy right up.

Anyways, being plastic and big, this gun felt a little flimsy, but the three shot and shell feature made this gun seem pretty cool. The spread was pretty nice and could easily hit a target from fifty feet with little difficulty. However, don't be stupid and cock this five times before shooting it. Yeah ten rounds or so will fly out but it will only go six or seven feet. I suggest you only cock it once --- this is directed towards you goofballs out there.

Shells are great and now there are extras/spares out there to buy. Being three shots at once, the mag capacity is good, around ten good shots. It's not like you will be laying down heavy fire with this, no you are going to be in a cqb battle with it or maybe sneaking around the woods 'til your target is in range. So yes, ten shots is enough. Plus, spare shells are cheap.

Pros
shells
three shots
fps is average
pump action
cool looks

Cons
full stock---i'd go with the one without the stock, it's more sturdy and less bulky
plastic is everywhere

Overall, despite its difficulty to cock for young kids/ weak people, that's not really the gun's fault. Get in the weight room. It'll help.

Good gun, but get the one without the stock.
I got this to use in a wooded area. For its size the accuracy is great and hits very hard. This is one of the best cqb weapons because it's small but can handle its own in larger field areas. If you need a good cheap gun this is it. Lasted me two years without any lube or maintenance. It's so durable and feels very heavy in your hands. Would be rather tough to use as a secondary though because of its weight, and will decrease your mobility. However, if you were to upgrade to a tight bore and a suppressor (barrel extension) then this can be great for field use while still being mobile enough for cqb.

Pros
Echo 1
FPS--hits very hard
Accuracy--not bad with .2s but recommend .23s
Hop up is good
Small
good weight distribution--not that uneven feeling like some other guns
battery storage--stick type (easy to get in and get out)
upgrade ability
Lasts for a long time--even longer if you take good care of it
Durable--can take a beating

Cons
pretty heavy, hard to use as a secondary
orange tip is so ugly ahhhhhh!!!
sling connector makes this clanking sound when you run (just tape it down--easy fix)
no rail for a red dot or something

Overall, great gun, get it for a good cqb gun, upgrade to be used in the field.

Hope you had a blast reading

With love,

ECHO 1 Vector Arms MOD47 RIS AEG Airsoft Rifle Full Metal - Great Gun

Reviewer: Peep
Rank: MG
Location: Happy, MD
read all my reviews

I had the cqb version of this by echo 1 vector arms. My friend has this and it is very good. Despite taking poor care of this baby it was very reliable and durable. This gun shoots hard, is very accurate (recommend using .25s or .28s), and is pretty mobile too. I would use this as a primary in the field, but i think it would be rather difficult to use in close quarter combat.

Also, if you were to put a tightbore barrel in this along with a nice scope, this can hit targets way better than the stock m324 generation 3. Since the m324s barrel is crap, upgrading this gun would dominate it, and can be used as a good long range assault rifle.

Echo 1 has definitely made some great guns and this is no different. Just take good care of it, feed her some lube and you should be fine.

Pros
Echo 1
FPS--can be used as a long range weapon in the field
Butt Stock has plenty room for a good large type battery
Accuracy---once again great for in the field
Inner barrel length (455mm)
rate of fire is decent

Cons
Weight is kind of unbalanced--you'd get used to it
Butt plate comes off easily allowing the battery to hang out (recommend using a little electric tape to keep her on
Flimsy plastic stock
Need rail for scope (rail on gun is too far up for my liking)
waffle high cap mag (love mid caps--i'd buy those)

Overall, despite the many cons, they are very very minor and can be rid of easily. Gun is recommended for the field. For cqb i'd look at smaller ak's like the ak74 on here.

With a silencer the ak's look sick...Just in case you would like to know.

Hope I was of assistance.

With love,

ECHO 1 E90 1500 rd Box Mag - Great

If you own any version of the p90 get this(and a mag to use with it).
I have yet to have any huge issues with it and i have used it for a couple of matches since i got it. This thing holds a lot of bbs and when you are playing a serious game you don't really get that trigger happy (in my opinion) so you will not need to worry about reloading. I do not have any problems with my battery (standard echo 1 e90 battery) running out before this or vice versa. then again i have not tried to see which runs out first yet. One small con(note the 4 stars) is that you have to make sure to "slam" it into place or else it will not actually lock into place and it is definitely meant for a righty (which thankfully i am). Not saying lefties can't use it but it may feel uncomfortable. Also i tend to have difficulties putting my mag into this so i find holding the box mag upside down when putting in your other mag into the box mag very helpful. Otherwise this is a definite buy. Unfortunately you can get a box mag that hold 5000rds or a 2500 rd cmag for the same price as this for a different gun and you have to buy another mag to put into the box mag(does not come with one). For some reason i feel that there is a monopoly on this mag since there are no others like it and basically everyone who has a p90 wants this.
Pros-
Powerful as hell when it's new
accurate
ease of cocking
light
looks amazing
effective range is terrible
I stood out above everyone else and the gun definitely performed a lot better than I expected. In fact this gun will be on a scabbard on my back during high end games. I shoot .25 out of mine and the bbs stay together in a very tight group. I was amazed at the distance this gun shoots. My suggestion, do not waste your money on expensive shotguns. This gun may not be full metal, but it performs just as good or better than the high end ones. I would rate this as a 5 out of 5! Just make sure you order extra mags. Get the 6 pack.

Pros
Is a tightbore barrel upgrade that will greatly improve the accuracy of the m4 you have
Might slightly increase the fps
Madbull--great company
Increase of range

Cons
Price--didn't factor into the rating

Overall, great barrel that will give you tighter groupings and better long range accuracy. Perfect length for the classic army m15a4 and other m4 variants.

Tip: If you plan on adding a barrel extension like a silencer for your m4, than I would buy a longer inner barrel which will give you even more accuracy and range. Not to mention, the barrel will be covered by a sexy silencer! However, if you plan on putting this in...let's say a mp5, then it will stick out of the gun and a barrel extension will cover it up making it a sexy beast on the field.

Hope this helped

UTG Bug Buster 4X32 Mil-Dot Red/Green Illuminated Mini Scope with 1 Inch Tube - Great for the price

After spending over five hundred dollars you decide to go the cheapo style and buy a fifteen dollar scope. Yes it might get the job done some of the time, but might not last or even be good in the first place. That's why shorty has the utg bug buster. Out of all my friends' scopes, this is clearly the best.

This scope magnifies the target clearly and can easily see three hundred yards across a field easy. However, I cannot shoot that far, but that's not the scope's fault :) . But, this scope is necessary because not only is it cool looking on your rifle (I use it on my mk96) but it can be sighted in very easily and can help you hit your target with ease and style.

By using madbull .4s in my mk96 and with the hop up adjusted and this baby zeroed in, I can easily hit a target the size of a head from 150 feet with ease. Torso targets are even easier from a greater distance. The scope definitely contributes to the success.

Also, the illumination of the green and red is cool. The only time in the two years I've had it I have only used the scope illumination once, and it was a foggy rainy day, making it hard to see the black crosshair. And just a tip, do not leave the battery in the scope because this will slowly eat up the juice until you have a dead battery. I would just take it out after you play. You get two so it should last you awhile.

Overall, great scope. Only use the cloth it comes with, which is in a little cute box they send you which also has your scope. Otherwise, a paper towel substance could damage the scope and scratch it. Also, get some rings which are not included and you should be fine.

With love,
Peep

P.S. The sun shade makes this scope longer and look pretty cool. Just thought you should know :) Not to mention, helps prevent from giving your position away, which is a good thing, right?? :)
I used these in my upgraded classic army m15a4 carbine which has a madbull tightbore barrel in it and a m120 spring. These are very reliable bbs. I have never had one jam on me yet, and for only twenty bucks you get 4000 HIGH quality bbs. I personally think this is a great deal. I also use the madbull .4 bbs which are wonderful in my mk96 too!!

Pros
Cheap (to me they are--such high quality and a pretty good quantity
madbull
heavy (greatly add to the accuracy depending on your gun--definitely not recommended with cheap low fps guns

Cons
lower fps but hey if your gun is powerful enough then the increase in accuracy and headshots :) will definitely make up for the fps loss.

Overall, highly recommended if you have a sniper rifle or aeg shooting over 400 fps. Just make sure to adjust your hop up, and if you have a scope zero it in. Great upgrade from lower weight bbs to increase accuracy in your powerful guns.

Also, if you have a high powered gas gun then these will work for it too!

With love,
I have this for mine and it makes it look so much better, probably because you are able to get that obnoxious orange tip off of your gun.

And with it being on sale for only three bucks why not. This will rid that "toy-ish" look of your gun, and will work on any gun with a counterclockwise thread.

Pros
Metal
price
looks
price
counter clockwise
can cover up your inner barrel if it's sticking out of your gun a little bit when there's no flash hider on it.
o and did I mention price?

cons
rids warranty (i'd wait until yours is up otherwise if your gun breaks and you already took your orange tip off, you might be in a little pickle
for some if they have a clockwise thread it won't work (not many do though)

Overall, great accessory and it's great for the price. Just don't go flashing your gun now at the cops...not that you ever should be flashing your guns at cops in the first place.

UTG M3L Multi-Shot Spring Airsoft Shotgun Full Stock - Wow. Just wow.

Okay, so I ordered this gun yesterday, and it already arrived today! This is some of the best shipping I have ever seen; I am very satisfied.

What comes in the box:
Shotgun (amazing looking)
Sling (I would not use this because I am afraid of breaking the hooks for it)
Speed Loader (very useful)
Red shell
Black shell
Instruction manual

Looks of the gun:
Well, the looks of the gun are AMAZING. It has painted white sights which are very nice and easy to see. It's very long, and looks exactly like a real gun (except for the orange tip).

Feel of the gun:
The gun feels light, but not the "crappy gun" kind of light; it has a good feel to it. The pump is solid plastic, with a rubbery kind of latex paint coated on it, which gives it a very nice feel. The handle also has the latex paint. The gun fits very nicely under your armpit, and it's pretty easy to look down the iron sights. When you try to cock the gun, it's a little bit hard for some people, but for me it was fine. And it will loosen up a little bit after a few battles, so it's not as hard. The overall gun is very sturdy.

Firing the gun:
I proceeded to fire the gun at a target from aprox. 20 feet away, and hit the target with a bullet radius of less than 3 inches, so you can easily hit someone with the tri-shot. It has a nice sound to it, and it sounds like it is going to bring some pain to whoever gets shot by it. I would for sure use this as my primary.

Pros:
Nice weight
Awesome white sights
Amazing latex grip and pump
Very realistic
Perfect length

Cons:
A little hard to pump
The shells start to get scratches easily, but that doesn't really matter to me

Overall Quality:
This is a very nice, beautiful gun and I HIGHLY recommend it. I have this, a UTG Warhawk AK-47, and a super-9 sniper rifle and I prefer this out of all of them. Once again Shorty, thank you.
The camo is not that weird looking florescent woodland camo that it looks like; it is perfect. It has many pouches and they are Velcro as you would assume. The Velcro is sewn into the pouches and is not coming off like the cheap glued together ones. You can remove the cross draw pistol holster (has a spare pistol mag pouch on top) and replace it with the spare two mag pouch set that is backed with Velcro and connects with two clips. It has two rigs on the shoulders if you were to attach a bungee sling. It comes with a duel pistol mag belt along with three others on the vest (not including the pistol holster) and is adjustable to about a small man at about 5' 9" comfortably. The vest itself is comfortable and a steal for the price.

Pros:

Nice material
Nice camo and coloration
Variety of pockets and pouches
6 pistol mag pouches
Dual pistol mag belt
Fairly adjustable
Great Velcro
Comfortable
Price

Cons:

Not vary customizable
Kind of hard to adjust
Can't add any thing really
I particularly wish there was a water bladder.
I only had one high cap and a standard mag for each gun. Then I put a flashlight and a laser pointer in there. (The g18c has rail.) You can fit a lot in there and it's only $15. Definitely buy if you defend bases or just a nice thing to add to your arsenal.

I have the one without the stock but I'm selling that and buying this one because it's a better feel for a shotgun. I also made a modification to the front of it if you want a flashlight in the front. In front of the main grip you can take out a pin and take the small black cap off to fit a nice LED flashlight in there. Works great!
The blow back is pretty cool, even though it doesn't have much force (which was to be expected). The magazine capacity is pretty small, but it makes up for it with the spare. The only thing I don't really like about this is the weight, it is just too light. All in all, a good buy, pretty cheap, fun to use, and good for close range.

UTG AK-47 Commando AEG Airsoft Rifle - Recent Trials of an Old Gun

Reviewer: TomDG
Rank: PVT
Location: Moorestown, NJ
read all my reviews

So I bought my gun about 2 years ago and I've fired it in my backyard a few times but I didn't have a chance to really test it out until yesterday. I haven't made upgrades to the internals of the gun but I did have a vertical grip on the front RIS rail. The scenario I tested it in was just me and two friends in the woods behind their houses.

Look & Feel:

This gun looks very good, most of the gun is metal which gives it a nice heft. The plastic parts include the front hand grip, the top RIS rail, the stock and the grip. The plastic feels very sturdy and doesn't take away from the overall look of the gun.

Performance:

As I mentioned I haven't had a lot of opportunity to test this gun well. All of my experiences are anecdotal and subjective. As far as fire rate goes it's pretty decent. When faced with two opponents with semi-automatic guns (a Gas BB Pistol and a spring shotgun) I was able to maintain fire superiority. However at around 50 feet my BB's begin to swerve and my accuracy was relatively poor. This was helped somewhat by adjusting the hop-up but the accuracy still wasn't great. At one point my magazine stopped winding and I was shooting blanks but I managed to fix it after the match.

Overall Opinion:

Overall this is a good gun for the price. It fires fast and at close range is highly effective. From what I read it is fairly easy to upgrade. The way this gun feels in your hands is spectacular. It is heavy but it makes it feel more realistic which I enjoy.
